On June 14, I spoke with the company asking them to cancel my dispute in which they said it would be completed no longer five business days today we are on nine business days. This has adversely affected me, causing me not to be able to work with **** as theyre waiting for checker to cancel this dispute so they may move forward. They shouldve been done in five business days or They are causing a negative impact on me and my daughters life.Business Response

I have been driving for **** since June 2024, but my background check suddenly became delayed for months due to an unresolved issue with retrieving my Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).**** has repeatedly told me via support messages that my MVR is not available electronically, and that I need to obtain an official copy, which I have done, from my local *** and upload it to the Checkr Candidate Portal. However, Checkr has responded multiple times saying they do not accept any documents related to license status or MVRs and that I need to speak with **** instead.They also suggest I contact the *** to "investigate the issue," but I have done that - and the *** confirms that my information is accurate and there is nothing they can do to assist. I have not changed states, names, or licenses. I've contacted both companies numerous times. Neither **** nor Checkr is accepting responsibility or providing a way for me to resolve this issue. **** tells me to upload something to a portal that does not allow uploads, and Checkr says they do not accept uploads "at this time." Checkr has suspended my background check four times, and canceled once. **** continually responds with robotic answers that tell me to rectify the situation with the client portal on checker. I am rejecting this response because:Neither has there been nor is there absolutely any email communication between this company and I. They only provide there online chat support to communicate with them. As seen in the screen shots, through their online support chat, they communicated there is nothing they can do. When **** has communicated multiple times from their supervisors that this issue is a Checkr issue, and the Mvd has multiple times confirmed nothing has changed. This seems like another attempt to ignore my request for help and blow me off.

On June 10th, I submit my information for Spark requirement checks on mvr and background! Prior to that I was using the app for months, so Im not sure if the check was random or just mandatory but the biggest problem is CHECKR! You guys give out an estimated completion just for you guys to keep pushing it back every day it reaches the completion day! The support chat is by far the WORST Ive come across and should be ashamed of the lack of service it provides! Automated responses from bots and when you do get connect with an agent theyre just as ai with the preselected prompts! I have been waiting and waiting calling and calling and cant get through to anyone about anything! Im not understanding how I was approved so fast just months ago! Now, all of a sudden its treating my background check as if I was a Russian spy. I let the agent know that I would be leaving a review/complaint because they were absolutely NO HELP. By far the worst possible time to be doing this to people with inflation as high as it is and people have to do what they can for a living all to be given the run around on a background check that was not long ago approved and completed within 2 days. This is embarrassing for a company to be so unprofessional!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: it doesnt make any since that when I first applied it didnt even take this long. Now all of a sudden theres a delay? That was only 3/4 months ago that I first had to be checked.. Nothing has changed so that in fact makes no sense to me! Theres no urgency with this company and its highly unfortunate and quite frankly i would have preferred to get the documents and mail them myself because you guys clearly wont understand that this is frustrating far beyond explanation!

They have not provided the service that are supposed to to. No communication about my background. No human help system. They cant get the check done in a timely manner because they have taking on too much business. They are suppose to give you a heads up about your check being renewed which they did not and now I havent worked in over a week with no communication from them. They sending out old background checks to companies. On the website it states after a certain amount of years the application would be considered. Checkr is denying people from they own stand point. I dont think its fair because its checkr job to submit people background checks to these companies. The time frame facts should be updated accurately and not submit something from 2015 its 2025 such a bad job in your profession.Business Response

They start off by saying your background check only takes 2-3 days, as soon as submitted it takes 3-5 and I am going on my second week waiting for a this I have no history, nothing so it shouldnt take that long I have never had it take this long.Business Response

The Checkr app said my background check would finish on a date sooner than what it has changed to now. When I reached out to customer service, the agent was condescending and not professional. It has been now 2 weeks since my background check has been submitted. Ive finally gotten in contact with a supervisor who gave me probably the same copy and paste response he gives everyone. Then I got an email today saying my case is closed after I sent a message to the supervisor about the employee and got no response. Background checks in the past have only taken 2-3 days to complete. Theirs no reason this should be taking this long, if its because of the current political climate maybe they should leave their good for nothing liberal nothing but chaos state and find a location better suited to handle background checks.Business Response

their was no addressing of the chat agents unprofessionalism. I asked for a supervisor and he repeatedly told me he wouldnt be able to provide me one. The. Eventually he said he wouldnt have a supervisor contact me. It never happened. I didnt get contacted by a supervisor until I threatened to report to the BBB. If you cannot give us our background checks in a timely manner, quit giving us ETAs. I have a new *** that says it should be done today, yet here I am.

On Thursday June 5, I submitted a request for a background check to be completed for an employee in a very important position at the university where I am the HR director. Since starting with this organization, every single background check we have done through Checkr has been complete within one to two days. It's been a week now and Checkr is saying that they are not able to clear this background check because they are waiting on records from a location that this person lived in almost two decades ago. It specifically states in ALL of their background check language that they will only go back 7 years for the county searches. This county never should have been searched to begin with. I called this county which is ************************** and they said that they do not do such records by hand and it can all be accessed electronically and results can be completed in seconds. Checkr refuses to answer my question about why they are checking these records when they explicitly tell the applicant and the employer that they will not check back longer than 7 years. This delay is jeopardizing our university athletics deparment and could cause us to lose the candidate. This company is conducting illegal background checks and are ****** to their customers about it. They offered no resolution or even assistance and threatened to cancel the background check entirely and not refund our money that we paid for it. They stated that they "do not have a phone number" so they denied me the opportunity to speak to someone to help with this issue. When I let them know I was filing this complaint they said go ahead they do not care. This is absolutely one of the worst if not the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. It wasn't just that they couldn't resolve the issue. They treated me like I was stupid and these serious concerns didn't matter to them one bit. I have never been compelled to file a report to this agency, but this experience was awful.Business Response

Checkr did background check and for some reason I was denied employment, I contacted Checkr to advise there must be some Inaccuracy with background because I have a clean record. They have yet to resolve the issue.Business Response

Losing thousands of dollars due to delay in background check. Its been 3 weeks with nothing further than its in the final stages and processing normally. The completion date changed to yesterday and now is just not even there. There should be a law against taking so long people are losing thousands of dollars of employment due to these delays.
