I have been working for **** for several years and have a clean record ! They do semi annual backround checks ! They have always done them and I never even knew , always worked not even knowing . Well , last week I couldnt open app to work and found out it was because the company CheckR was taking so long with my check ! Ive worked for the government and it took 2 days ! They finished my driver license check may 14 , so its been almost a month ! I have clean record so I inquire online and get excuses and pass blame but nobody that will tell me problem ! I worked in every courthouse in **************** and they are very efficient ! I could help if I knew what problem was but I just get prewritten Robo responses! I cant work and need money . I should be able to work while this company is being incompetent . Cant believe a company that I dont even work for has this much power ! I am a Vietnam era Veteran and worked for the state of ********! This is a disgrace ! They had a Estimated time of Jan 5 to complete , almost a month , and it passed so now there isnt even a date ! Their incompetence is ruining my life ! No accountability ! Cant even tell me problem which leaves me to believe that is sitting on someones desk while I cant work and pay bills ! checkr conducted a background check using my social security number across the *** to find any records associated with me for a job position with circle medical. While the report came back clean for no criminal records, it notes there is records of me being associated with ****** texas. I have never lived or been associated with that area, so my social security number being associated there is possible fraud. I want to know the information that was found about me in their search for associating me with ****** tx to be able to report it and protect myself from fraud. They refuse to give me the details they found of me at this location. I am entitled to this information through the freedom of information act and through my rights on the Fair Credit reporting act. My name is ***** ******, and I was deactivated from ******** in January 2025 due to a temporary suspension of my driver's license. The suspension was caused by a delay in completing traffic school which has long since been resolved. My license has been valid and active since shortly after that incident. I submitted multiple disputes through Checkr and contacted ******** as well, providing clear proof that my license is now valid. However, I continue to receive automated responses saying that my account will remain deactivated. Both companies told me that no new background check can be run, and I've been given no opportunity to have my updated driving status fairly considered.I am not disputing the original background check - I fully understand why I was deactivated at the time. I'm simply asking for a new background check now that my license is valid. This is preventing me from returning to a job I relied on, even though I've met all the requirements to do so.I'm hoping that BBB can help me escalate this issue and receive a fair review based on my current status. Date Started was May 13th 2025. Checkr has been delaying my background report to be completed, based on their AI System that's not operating right, causing me to be deactivated with **** Driver losing lots of money by the day. I have tried all I can reaching out to ********************* and **********************. **** claim there's no action they can do to Escalate and have no control over Checkr time frame. It's been 6 years I worked with **** Driver and I have one of the Highest driving Statuses with one of the best records. **** does not have an Attorney nor Person to follow up with Checkr when these issues happen, causes me to have extreme distress, extreme lose wages and struggling to pay on to BIG responsibilities i relies on with **** Pay. Just purchased a $50,000 car 48 month plan to pay off and this happens right after not to long. After filling out Checkr complaint form, Checkr returned a AI Response to my email that's prewritten, just to tell ************* else with same issue, I have to wait for their system.. Checkr claims there is Delays in ******* States because of backed up ************** which i don't live in neither States. Also, I have never had this issue being forced offline deactivated over the last 6 years during an updated background check. Moreless, I have a clean Criminal History and nothing new in my life on my background with any Court System. I'm ready to file a Law Suit against **** & Checkr for Extreme Distress, Extreme Lose Wages and Checkr AI System Mishandling my background check. By the way, Checkr System is not being run by a person, it's a AI System that no one is looking into, neither ****/Checkr Company with these issues...PLease Help and Point me in right direction, I am so tired and losing my mind trying to get help and back to driving making my income..Business Response

Due to court delays and closures throughout the country, we are still experiencing some delays in receiving records, and unfortunately, we will not have an update on your report until these records are provided to us directly by the courts. Please note, there continue to be delays as clerks and representatives make their way through extensive backlogs and other requests.
Please also note that based on the request of the company you have applied to work with, we may search counties where you currently live or that may be associated with your address history, and those counties may or may not keep electronic records. As a ************************** there are procedures we are required to follow in order to collect information and complete background checks. As a result, we are unable to expedite our search or take additional steps to speed up the process.

Dear Checkr, Inc. Support Team,I am writing to formally express my deep frustration and concern regarding your failure to process my background check for over a year. This prolonged inaction has had a direct and negative impact on my ability to earn income, as it has prevented me from being approved to drive on the Lyft platform.Despite repeated attempts to resolve this matter and provide any necessary documentation, there has been no progress. I have received no clear explanation as to why the background check remains incomplete, nor have I been given a timeline or resolution. I'm a doordash employee. Checkr did a background check on my driving record and pulled up four violations. Two from 2023 and two from 2024. Each was a ticket for going 5mph over the posted speed limit (55 in a 50). I didn't fight the tickets because I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle, as they weren't reckless driving nor points on my license. After their check, turns out my DoorDash is now locked because they consider me a risk... yes, a risk for going 5mph over the speed limit. Now, my means of making money is on a half over two tickets from 2023, and the more recent two of a minor (if you could even call them that) violations.Business Response

So, I am in-between jobs at the moment. I have been a dasher in the past, 6 months prior. And I've reactivated my card and account. I started dashing 5/21 and I've been dashing everyday at sometime and I've accumulated around 80 dollars in 7 days. Not much but I'm in need of it. As of today I'm not able to access My account due to ********************** imposing a "Block" into my account until they finish the process of a background check, So tell me why was i able to go to 20+ people's house and get 100% deliveries/completion to not be able to access my account. ******** does completion bonus and job deliveries for a 30 day period (from current day). So it's estimated they will complete 6/6/25. How am I supposed to continue working for a company that doesn't see they are using a terrible system. If you aren't cleared you aren't cleared. "You don't get a job for a bank, start messing with the money and people's accounts, and then you get properly cleared." Doesn't work that way.Business Response

In March they started reporting that I had a violent conviction and this is an untrue statement. At this point it has cost me four jobs and they did not correct it even though I have followed all of their avenues to have it corrected. I have gone through the process twice of not only asking it corrected but also appealed it twice. I have called and spoke with chat many times.
