      I was trying to sign back up to be an Uber driver, as I did in the past. Uber informed they needed a background check which would be completed by Checkr. Within the next few days, Checkr came back and stated my license was suspended, which resulted in me not being eligible to begin Uber driving. This is false information. I was recently at the *** when I registered my new car, and my license is active, along with my registration and insurance. (They would not have done so if it wasnt.) I disputed the Checkr information and today I received an email response from Checkr that the information they reported was accurate. Their information or algorithms are inaccurate! This is very frustrating and delays my ability to work and apparently this same issue is occurring repeatedly to many others because Checkr is falsely reporting.

      Uber submitted my background check and Checkr started processing it August 11th, 2022. We are now at October 3rd, 2022 with my background check still pending. I have been unable to work and am not able to keep up with my bills and take care of my 2 year old daughter because of Checkrs delay. I keep being told there are delays at the county court, but yet I was able to receive my background check personally with the same information checkr would see within **************************************************************************** a week tops, which is a full thorough look at my background. Checkr keeps mentioning they will reach out to the researchers or furnishers and I never hear back. I may lose my car . I may not be able to pay rent because of this. It is highly frustrating that checkr is not taking any initiative. I have other friends who submitted their annual background checks and had it back same day. I will be reaching out to the local media about this as well

      This company has been providing false information to a potential employer and refuses to update their current information regarding my private and confidential information, even despite a warning that they are in possession of undeniably false claims, resulting in a loss of job and income, and unjustly so to boot. This matter should be taken very seriously as this company hasn't even proven that they are entitled to such information and bold claims to begin with, and should be investigated thoroughly for peddling false information resulting in loss income, and should be solely responsible for that lost income. Included are all of the unmistakable, documented FACTS regarding my legitimate Iowa License as of September 2022. The very same ones this 3rd party, nongovernmental company refused to acknowledge, leading to loss revenue on my behalf. Everything here will be documented for my ******* channel. Thank you.

      I am filing a complaint against Checkr for 1) their failure to conduct an accurate background check on me; and 2) their failure to work with me to resolve this issue.In having my information submitted to Checkr, they have told me that the social security number that I provided had problems. They never explained to me what problems such social security had, or what I needed to do to fix it.I have literally no criminal record, no bad credit, nor anything that would prevent me from being able to get any job, but because of Checkr's failure to complete my background check, I am unable to move pass this background check and secure employment. This issue has been looming for almost six months now. Unfortunately, everytime I contact Checkr, they are unable to give me any answers.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      In trying to address this issue Checkr is referring me to Uber. Uber cannot override any of Checkr's assessments. The problem is solely with Checkr. If they are telling me that they cannot verify something with my social, they need to what that something is so I can address it. I am trying to actively work towards a solution opposed getting ping ponged around. Unfortunately, Checkr has not provided a response that will focus on getting this solution resolved.

       

      Please note, in all of Checkr's responses to me, never have they said that there is something negative in my background (there isn't anything negative).

       

      All I want to do is complete this background check so I can start working. If Checkr cannot complete such background, they need to send it to a company that can so I can complete this and start working!

      Unfortunately we were unable to complete the *** trace for your Uber report. We tried to resolve the issue when we requested that you verify your *** in April and June of this year. However, the verification did not resolve the issue and the *** trace was not able to complete.

      When this situation occurs, **** has specifically requested that we refer candidates back to them for next steps. We are unable to accept documentation (i.e. *** cards) to complete *** trace related issues for Uber reports. We are sorry for the frustration and back and forth, however Uber will need to be the one to help you with next steps.

      I began working with this company to perform background checks for potential employees. When they would check the background, I would get a note back that said "Clear" and "Complete" unless there was an issue. What I came to find out is that the ones that say "Clear" are not really clear. The state of PA uses their own system and while Checkr was using their system, they were not providing me with the results. I have to go to the PA system and obtain the results myself. This was NEVER explained to me at the beginning, and Checkr has admitted their wrongdoing in this instance. Furthermore, this only came to light because I was being audited by the state and Checkr was not providing what was required by the state, so when went to them and asked about it, it took a minimum of several weeks for them to tell me how to find this information. Yet, they are also telling me that I should have been looking up the background checks for PA myself!I have documentation of all of this. Most recently, I have been working with a Tier 2 ******** Service agent named *******. He offered to provide me with a report of all of the background checks, so that I can go back and spend hours and hours doing what I was supposedly paying for all along. This report was requested weeks ago, and has yet to be produced.I have also emailed their Vice ********** ****** with no response.I am requesting credit of $2,463.49 which is the total that I have spent on background checks. NOT ONE of these reports is actually complete without me having to go to the state of PA and get the background check myself. This situation has put my business at risk and caused me hours upon hours of additional work. Checkr should also be investiaged as they are selling a product, claiming to check backgrounds but they don't actually know what they are selling, which is causing people of questionable backgrounds to be placed in clients' homes.However,

      Checkrs reports only contain information that is considered reportable under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Checkr provides the ability for our customers to perform a ****************** Police Background Check, but we cannot include it in our reports.       We see that you contacted customer support and connected with an agent that was able to explain this process and how to access PATCH reports.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I still have not received the credits that were promised to me by Checkr over a month ago. I have also requested a report that was offered by Checkr to demonstrate the background checks they have performed, but that has not been provided.

       

      When I signed up for Checkr, no one explained that I had to basically do the background check myself. The information provided to me did not actually show whether an employee was eligible to work. It was only after a year of service when I was being audited by the state did this come up as an issue. No one at Checkr could actually explain this to me for WEEKS and once someone did explain it, it turned out that they were not actually checking the backgrounds - just pulling a report that was not included in the background checks. I believed all along that I was paying for a service that I was not receiving - AND - as a result of their negligence, I actually sent someone with a horrible criminal background into someone's home because Checkr indicated that their background was CLEAR.

       

      I am attaching the most recent email chain with Checkr, indicating that I have been working with them for over a month on this particular issue with this particular candidate, but this has been going on for several months. I have not received the credits or the reports I have been promised, and I should NOT be paying for background checks that were done in the past, because the information was inaccurate and not what I believed I was paying for. When you hire a background check company, you believe that what they do is check backgrounds and report the results. This isn't what they do at all, and I am again requesting a credit for ALL of the backgrounds that Checkr has performed - because I have to go back and re-check ALL of them since the results that were reported are inaccurate.

      The information in our background check reports is displayed in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Since June we have provided and walked through the process for activating this information multiple times.

      We have issued credits, however we will not be returning any funds as we provided the information requested in a format that is compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

      I applied for a job through a company called angiservices and checkr is supposed to be running my criminal background check it was scheduled to be completed on September 12th and I still have not received the results or been able to start my job because of my background check not being completed and the information being available I've reached out 3 separate times and they don't have a customer service phone number only email communication

      I lost my livlihood in August when Checkr made Lyft aware of 2 misdemeanors that were expunged from my record 2 years ago. Worse, they sent **** the original arrest charges, which were thrown out at my court appearance in 2017.I was growing a successful career with ****, and invested $50,000 in a car to join their Black fleet. Now I am reduced to scratching a living doing DoorDash, and borrowing from my parents. Over the past month I have lost approximately $15,000 in income. I feel frustrated and helpless, with no one to speak to at Checkr or Lyft. I had 2 misdemeanors on my record which were expunged 2 years ago, but Checkr reported pre-trial charges that were never supposed to be on my record, and which now will haunt my career forever. I have obtained court documents and sent them to Checkr, with no positive result so far. I hope Checkr will allow me to get back to work soon, I dont think this is fair.

      Checkr has provided false information on my background check and failed to fix the issue since years I have been trying to get them to resolve it. I even gave them my driving record but they did nothing to assist me and it ha affected my employability.
