      May 24th I signed the consent for checker to do a background cbackground. I am in desperate need, and that is why I applied to do this work. I had been on medical leave, i had to move in a hurry,to a place that is a $1000 more expensive a month, and cant afford the bare necessities in life with the recent changes, changes made because I thought I would be able to work and supplement my income. Almost 3 months later and they still have not provided my background check. I get the same generic response about covid and court hours due to covid which is no longer the issue. I need them to complete my background check so that I can work.

      This is the same generic  Response you give everyone and that you have been giving me for 3 months now.. It doesn't take that long as I said in another complaint where they wouldn't allow me to reject your answer I've contacted the courts and know they aren't backed up I asked them the process and it is quite simple.. You have caught me to lose out I'm making so much money in a time where I could barely afford to buy a roll of toilet paper . You are causing me to have charges for late fees, bank fees,  and a hard hit to my credit.  If it were you waiting to be able to work would you deal with this? Would this be acceptable? I think not!!!

      Based on the request of the company you have applied to partner with, we *** search counties where you currently live or that *** be associated with your address history. These searches *** include available and legally reportable records associated with your name, date of birth, and other available personal identifying information.

      As a ************************** there are procedures we are required to follow in order to collect information and complete background checks. As a result, we are unable to expedite our search or take additional steps to speed up the process.

      This company has had my background check for over a year and a half now. I applied to a company that uses Checkr for background checks back in late 2020/early 2021. My application never made it through the background check at Checkr. I reached out and never heard a response. I let it go because I had gotten another job, and went off to Basic Training for the ************* Im back now, Im the **** Reserves, and am looking for a side job. Today, I applied to the same company, thinking that with it being over a year now I can try again with no hassle. Nope, Checkr STILL has my same background check from that long ago as pending, and wont let me even view or contact them regarding this. I emailed and am still awaiting a response. These guys are truly horrendous.

      Checkr has not reported my current Driver's License status to Doordash, leaving me unable to start work with Doordash. I have spoke with the manager ****** whose stated the update would be sent to doordash and it never was. This has been going on for months now as I just spoke to a doordash representative yesterday who advised my current Driver's license is still reporting as suspended when its been in good standing.The only reason why it got suspended in the first place was because a parking ticket was sent to my old address and i didn't know. Since then it has been paid off and I am in good standing.I have suffered loss of income as I have been waiting for this to be updated. I've been waiting on Checkr to update this for well over 5 months now and still no help. They even failed to notify doordash that my license is not suspended. I had an awful experience with this whole process.

      DoorDash has complete access to all reports they have ordered from Checkr, no matter the date or status.

      Checkr **** got me fired from Uber a year ago over a mistake on a background report. **** a year later and only with the help of ************************************ was I able to get a copy and get this corrected by them.They have refused to share this with Uber to clear my status, they also never informed Uber the report was in dispute.

      This is my second complaint I have been waiting on my background check from checkr tomorrow makes 3 months and my background is still pending I have called numerous of times I've already filed a complaint and got a computer generated response the same response they give to everyone else I have also ran my background three times and have got it back within a week they're constantly lying costing me thousands of dollars I honestly don't see how this company is still in business there needs to be a class action lawsuit on this company I am waiting on my background for Lyft and Uber. I am beyond frustrated and it's really sad that there is nothing that we can do we just have to sit here while we take all of these losses due to this company it's ridiculous and sad

      Hello. My name is *********************. I have a problem with a background checking company named "Checkr" (Checkr.com)Checkr.com posted unauthorized, and incorrect background information about me (from 29 years ago) to my employer (Lyft). I was on my 2nd tour of duty with Lyft. I drove for the 5years ago (5star ratings) for about 14 months. And recently I re-applied about 13 months ago. I was driving (part-time) for about a year. (all 5star ratings) and then...Just last month, mysteriously, Lyft performed a random background check on me. And a misdemeanor from 29 years ago was posted from their background checking company (Checkr.com)Lyft deactivated my account. I lost wages. I have not driven for Lyft in over a month. (I had a luxury vehicle account) I filed a complaint with Checkr.com. It is in dispute right now. Based on the information provided above, Checkr is in violation of following consumer laws...1. 15 U.S.C. **** sec 602 A 2. 15 U.S.C. **** 604 A *************************** (A)(1)Therefore I would like to exercise my right to the following laws..****n. Civil liability for willful noncompliance 1.(A)any actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or damages of not less than $100 and not more than $1,000; or (B)in the case of liability of a natural person for obtaining a consumer report under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose, actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or $1,000, whichever is greater; I need Full compensation of 1 month for my luxury line Lyft account in the amount of $3,000 and the removal of that inappropriate 29 year old misdemeanor that they posted.       I was applying for a job on Amazon Flex, and checkr run the background check on 7/12/2022, and I found there was reckless driving on my record in another state, which I have never been to the location they describe, so I submitted reinvestigation request on 7/14/2022, and dispute the case, submitted all the supporting documents, and no reply as of 8/10/2022, I applied another one on Uber, they work with checkr as well, then same thing happened, reckless driving, and one more record showed up as attempting exclude police vehicle, which is a felony record doesn't belong to me, and it was charged for a sentencing of 364 days, it has cause so much trouble for my life, and there was no way I'm getting license renewed next year.

      I applied for a job at Uber. They use a company named Checkr to run background checks.. since the beginning of July of 2022 I've submitted my documents to Checkr for my background check. To this day my background check is incomplete.. I've tried to contact Checkr but they have a automatic phone service, and it's just a voicemail service.. I've emailed them, and it's a automatic service too. I'm all out of options...

      I have applied for a Lyft and Uber I have been waiting for almost 2 months for my background check to complete it's still in the pending stages I have called the company numerous of times and was told due to the pandemic was the reason there is delays in the background check I was told Sacramento County where I live was holding up my background check up. I contacted Sacramento County they told me that it would not have taken more than seven business days for them to complete my background check and that checkr should have been had this information. I contacted checkr to inform them what I was told from Sacramento County and all they keep doing is giving me rebuttals and lies I'm told that I will receive an email Within five to seven days which I never received I'm calling almost every day and there is no new information that they can give me I am on the verge of losing my home my vehicle I can't even provide school clothes for my children due to this company
