1 starI'm not even going to waste my time writing about the same issues everyone else brought up. PS. BBB is a private for-profit business, it's not a gov. ******* As shown in this example, all you have to do as a business is pay. No matter how terrible your reviews are, you are A-OK in their book.Review fromDoug D

1 starThis is the worst firm I have dealt with. It's been two weeks and four attempts to send a wire transfer for a business I sold. I still haven't received anything, and their terrible customer service department cannot seem to get a message to the wire transfer team. Use another service.Review fromDevi H

1 starEscrow.com is the worst to use for a middle man payment. Escrow does not follow anything in their policies. Just be aware it is easy for any buyer to steal Your assets. Even if the buyer does not return anything back to you. Escrow will not do anything and their return period is false. The buyer can easily take your assets and escrow will not release the funds to you no matter what their policies say. They are liars and they do not do their job correctly. Youre better off using PayPal or a different money transfer service. I sold a business and domain to a buyer and he disappeared. I no longer have the business and escrow never paid me. It has been over 4 months and still nothing and they just keep ignoring my emails. Escrow needs to be shut down at this point. They are a waste to use and they are no help if you have a problem. I will continue to pursue legal action against them.Review fromAL R

1 starThese guys are terrible. They canceled my high end transaction for no reason. I questioned the fact that I didnt have a proof of purchase. Who keeps a proof of purchase from 5 plus years ago? When I questioned it, they cancelled my transaction without explanation. Stay away from these guys plus looking at the other reviews, getting your money back from them is extremely tough.Review fromJohn R

1 starHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! AVOID! If the sale on **** doesn't occur or you cancel, your funds don't return to you unless you get on the phone and plead with them. But, then, you know understand that is only the beginning, you have to contact your bank and request a charge back but that's not the way your bank works and escrow.com knows this. Chargebacks are sent for fradulent claims and not cancelled sales. So, escrow.com now says, sure we will take a letter from your bank that is emailed to the customer but now they want a hard copy and to go into a branch and plead to receive such a letter. But my bank says they also don't do this.Escrow.com wanted identification that matches the address on my bank account. Not any other address but that one. A week later after several attempts. That's right, a week. Then, after a long hold with customer service, they relay to me that they can't accept the address on my *** Form return that matches my bank address. So, somehow my bank and the *** accept the address but escrow.com cannot. Every effort by ********** seems designed to slow the process down and matches that of a government bureaucracy. Not a good situation to have a contact with one vendor who has zero competition. After trying to get a couple of thousand dollars sent to the seller, two thousand dollars, it could not be accomplished by the **** auction was now closed so they told the seller that they must now contact **** and get the auction open again. In summary, the customer cannot get their money back until their bank jumps through hoops that are escrow.com's hoops. I am still waiting to receive my money back. The process of verification is ****** ********** and *********. Days pass and stress out the buyer and seller on ****. Nothing moves on the weekend and if you miss a later Friday afternoon resolution, add more days. Eventually, you will get a "pending" on your transaction. But mine never moved passed that. AVOID. USE A BANK WIRE!Review fromMark S

1 starFrustrating bordering on banking fraud They make it very difficult to get your money back should the seller decide not to work thru the transaction The seller indicated they would accept Escrow.com payment when I purchased a $4200 item on ***** After setting up and funding the Escrow the seller changed their mind and I was forced to pay in cash which was quite the hassle as I am in ******** and the seller is in ******* I have been trying to reach someone at escrow. Com to retrieve the $4200 they are holding and have gotten absolutely no help from them Dont use this serviceReview fromken l

1 starI won an automobile auction on ***** who recommends escrow.com for all payments. Thinking this is a good service, I transferred full payment, more than $17,000 following their instructions for ACH. They will not accept a charge card that would give me some protection. They require a photo **, so I provided a valid drivers license front and back. It was rejected, so I provided my valid ** Passport. It was rejected. They required a selfie while holding the ** next to my face. It was rejected as the ** was not legible. They literally held onto my $17 grand while questioning my integrity, is not that pile of money sufficient proof? Repeated calls to their customer service were quite frustrating, as I was treated as a criminal and received nothing but robotic stock replies. My bank, Fidelity Services, warned me that both **** and Escrow like to hold onto funds they do not own. Escrow dragged this out for so long the seller cancelled the auction and relisted. So neither the buyer nor the seller got any help from Escrow, who killed a legitimate transaction with incompetence. The only thing escrow.com lacks is an appeal from the Crown ****** of ******* who needs ** to wire funds from *******. Good luck any pray for help from the almighty if you decide to use them.Review fromGary C

1 starJust here checking and the experiences listed are pretty spot on how poorly they run their business. I am having trouble paying them through *********** and now that I've experienced their attitude, I'm glad. I just wish I could retrieve my info back from them.Review fromJohn I

1 starMy experience with Escrow was nothing short of a nightmare. I was looking to buy a car & found a listing on Find My Electric. After reading the description and contacting the seller, I decided to move forward with the purchase. I transferred $45,000 to the Escrow account that they had been spamming me for days to send the lump some without everything needed by the seller. The car arrived, and to my dismay, it was not as described. The seller had claimed that the car was in excellent condition with a Full self driving Package on the Tesla (15k Value), but it was clear that the car did not have the software as well as was dirty inside and out. The odometer reading was much higher than advertised, and it was evident that the car had not been properly maintained.I contacted Escrow immediately, hoping that they could help me get my money back. However, their customer service was appalling. The representatives I spoke to were unhelpful and seemed disinterested in my situation. They kept telling me that they couldn't do anything about it, and that it was my responsibility as a buyer to contact the seller for any problems or questions. That isn't even the worst part. It has been over a week since I got the car delivered and I have yet to receive the title. I am in awe of how terrible and unprofessional this company is in every way. They themselves did not take the time before receiving my money to find out who the lien holder of the car loan was and I have to sit here and wait for the seller, who already has my money by the way, to do things for me. I am disappointed, frustrated, and tired of all of this.In the end, I was left out of pocket and with a car that was not as described. It was a complete waste of $45,000, $2000 to ship the car, that in the contract was supposed to be covered by the seller, and I wouldn't recommend Escrow to anyone. Their unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and overall terrible service make them a company to be avoided at all costs.Review fromMichael K

1 starThe service is incomplete. I purchased the escrow with lien services to assure that I would get legal title to a vehicle I was buying from out of state. Escrow.com does not require lien holder to release documents of ownership to it in exchange for funds. Thus, Escrow.com leaves open the back door for seller fraud. Precisely what an escrow is not supposed to do.
