Date transaction: 3/24/2025 Amount paid: $5,478.00. Twenty days after install my front gate warped and no longer closes correctly. I started reaching out have the gate repaired and every person I talked to sent me to the next person without helping me.There have been issues with them every step of the process due to lack of communication and lack of information. All communications after getting me to sign a contract were generic texts and automated texts that I could not respond to. This is one of the most frustrating things about this company. They have a generic phone number that makes it impossible to actually talk to anyone that can help you. Lengthy delays in response or no responses/call backs at all. They treat you one way when they want your business, and another way when issues start to happen to your fence, and they have been paid. This is so frustrating, and I wasted so much of my time calling Ergeon for their errors with no response. Im sure they are just hoping I will give up and they will not have to repair thier work. The only time an actual person reached out to me consistently was when I owed the payment. Not to mention, the contract ****** states there is a 90-day craftsmanship warranty on the fence. The company has shown no concern about repairing their work. ******** customer service. Still waiting on contractor to repair fence. No show when the scheduled repair was supposed to happen. I reached out several times the week of the scheduled repair to confirm that they were still coming as scheduled since I had the opportunity to go out of town with family for the day. No response all week, I waited hoping that they would show up and never did. ******** texted me at 8:30 pm saying the installer was on his way but he had a personal setback and won't be able to make it out there. We spent 5 grand for a privacy fence in which there are cracks and warping wood. The warranty covers this but the communication is horrible with the company and contractors. One contractor came out after we had waited in our time slot ****** and took the warped board while we were not home. One month later and he still hasn't replaced it. We called the company back to inform that of the unprofessional business three weeks later we are still without communication and without the board. I am rejecting this response because: I am waiting for a second crew to come out. The fence is suppose to look like a brand new fence. Now it looks pieced together with extra nails, different color boards, and is uneven. I would send more photos but the system is not allowing me to do so.

I paid to have a fence and 3 gates installed. I recievetd a 1 year warranty on workmanship.Two of my gates are sagging and I have to use force to open and close them. I complained the day they were installed. Ergeon told me to let it dry and see how the gates work. It was raining on the day they installed them.They came back 3 weeks later and readjusted the 3 gates. Recemented the corner post. Now I have been contacting Ergeon since January to request that they come fix it. They ignore me and now I have called and texted them at least 6 times the past 3 weeks and they keep telling they are sorry and somebody will get back to me. Nobody does. 1 paid 1400 just for the 3 gates. And they do not work.Business Response

Ergeon failed to build my fence correctly. There is a 5 inch gap between the fence post and my house. This allows my small dog to escape from the back yard. I have uploaded a picture of the gap. I called to tell the company about it but had to leave a number and I was told they would call me back. I waited all that day and the next for a return call but they didn't call me back. It is a pattern with Ergeon to not respond or return calls. They didn't show up on May 9th 2025 to install the fence as they scheduled. I called 4 or 5 times, they finally rescheduled the installation for May 13th. The installer did show up on May 13th and was there until past eight p.m. I didn't notice the gap in the fence for several days because I was out of town after they completed the work. I paid for the work on May 15th 2025 for the amount of $2679.30 through a with draw from my bank account. I would like the installer to come back to correct the gap in the fence so the back yard will be secure. They should repair the fence or complete the work so that I will have confidence that my dog will not be able to escape from the back yard.Business Response

I had a fence installed around March of 2024. Per the email I have from the ************************ ********* ******, at ********************** on March 22, 2024, she emailed me the following: "We do call the 811 number and get the Dig Permit issued for you, it is part of the process of installation and the marking of the utility lines is done during the pre-installation visit."On 3/6/25, I received a certified letter from the City of ******. The letter contained a summons as well as an order to terminate. The charges were for Failure to Obtaining a Zoning Permit and 811 dig. Yard setback had to be 50% open. The hearing for these violations was held on 04/11/2025. I was charged with the above offenses and was fined a total of $566.00. Since my fence is under warranty, I immediately called Ergeon Fences and explained my situation to them. If 2 sections of the 4 Foot fence is not corrected at 50% open by 05/11/2025, I may be charged $1,000 per day until the fence is corrected. Naturally, I've called and emailed Ergeon Fences daily (sometimes multiple times) and I keep getting told that a service *** will call me back directly with a date to have the fence corrected. On 4/17/25, ********* ****** wrote the following in an email "Thanks for reaching out. Yes, Ive been made aware of the situation, and I want to assure you that we are actively working to find the best solution as quickly as possible. Our team is currently reviewing the details so we can provide a timely resolution that addresses your concern and the citys requirements. We will be in touch."Today is 5/5/25 and I am a week from having the $1K fine imposed. I would like to have this easy fix done to my fence as soon as possible.Business Response

I have paid a total of $566 for the 2 summons to the City of ****** and have sent Ergeon copies of the payment receipt. I have not been reimbursed for anything.

This is a note on our experience dealing with this company. Initially seemed promising and very responsive. They have their own online platform with limited but guaranteed options where you can choose desired height, thickness, style. We chose 1 thick redwood pickets, 3.5 tall. Spoke with their salesman, ******, on March 1st who assured us all would be provided as quoted or company absorbs the cost. We agreed on initial plan and were handed off to project manager (*****) to coordinate install. Heard from ***** once via text - providing expected date for install (with no eta or what to expect). On day before planned install, we were informed they would be postponing due to lack of material. Two weeks later the material is ready unfortunately its 1/2 inch thick redwood pickets less than 3 ft high, delivered to our door via **********. We communicate our concerns with this and ** comes back with idea to place a new order for new material at (our originally agreed upon) thickness and have her installer cut theses ONE BY ONE into pointed pickets at our desired height - at an extra $1800. No thanks. In an attempt to work with all these roadblocks and ** pushiness, we concede to a plan for 1/2 thick dog eared pickets, 3.5 wide. On new day of install, they arrive with 1/2x5.5-6 dog eared boards from ********** (again not what we wanted). AGAIN communicate issues to ** who suggests (again) to cut them down to 3.5 wide (individually), with extra cost. Its been over a month with several headaches. We decide to cancel since they cant get it together and text the ** multiple times over the course of a week. ** is now saying we have to pay to cancel but nowhere did they keep up their end of the contract. ******.Business Response

They were hired to fix my fence and they left all kinds of rocks and debris after they finished. I contacted them several times with pictures and they won't respond. I tried to shovel some away but it is too heavy with all the rocks and I don't have a place for the rocks, chunks of concrete and wood.Business Response

Thanks for reaching out and we are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. After reviewing your complaint, we do not see any valid warranty claim. Please note that the dirt/riocks that you see is normal and come from the post holes created. Our contracts are clear that we only haul away debris, which is wooden material. Extra dirt or rocks from your property are not hauled away and if we want this service, it does come at an additional cost. Please refer to section 20.(k) of your contract where we do inform you of this process. Attached is your contract and screen shot of where this is informed to you.

I am rejecting this response because: There is a lot of concrete that you created in either putting in the posts or taking the old ones out. The rocks do not belong to me. They are rocks that were pushed over from my neighbors property. I did find a lot of wood as well. this is not way to run a business if you want referrals. What am I supposed to do with all this concrete?

So im not understanding these people.They offered a free no commitment estimate. My mom was looking to get the fence redone. I have gotten an estimate and i thought the price was reasonable. However as i have explained to them the property is not mine. The house is not mine. It is in my moms name. I cannot agree to anything unless my mom agrees. My mom works alot and had not had time to review things. What made my mom disagree to things was the fact that they charge a ***** fee for anyone paying with a check. My mom was like no she is not agreeing to this. Then she in a way came around and said she will think about it. OK Now i get a text from a project manager telling me that " They canceled the project and i am responsible for paying a 1***** fee" I refuse to pay this. Nothing was done to my moms property and as i have explained to these desperate sharks, I have no authority to make a decision on property that is not mine nor in my name. My mom has the ultimate say. I am questioning the reputation of this company. It is not that serious that they try to force my mom to pay 1***** for something. If there is no commitment why are we being forced to pay something. My mom ultimately decided that she could not stomach the ***** check fee as she deems it a waste of money which i am inclined to agree with ****** mom works hard and i refuse to let any company take advantage of her. And her being a senior i am even more over protective. I fail to understand how these people at this company can take advantage of a senior like this. This is wrong. All because they want to charge her an obscene amount to put up a front fence? Are these people serious.No.If and when my mom is ready then she will make a decision and say ok im ready. - I have attached a screen shot of the actual page of your contract/quote and circled where we inform you of the $50 check charge.
- You approved the quote formally on Oct 16th, with a credit card on file that you/mother used.
- I have attached your contract as well and attached a screen shot of where our contract states we will charge $150 for cancelling.
-The Pm did reach out to you and offered a discount so we can try to help with total cost.
- As a final attempt, I reached out to you personally. I called the number on file, left a VM, texted and emailed you. I was reaching out to see how we can help and what can we do to keep this going or review the cancellation process.
