Uplift told me twice over the phone that being on a payment plan would not affect my credit. They also told me that entering a payment plan after my original plan end date was over would no longer be reported to the credit bureaus. I believed them, and then when I saw a hit for a past due balance I called them right away and was told that their agent didnt tell me that. So with that I requested the recordingthey responded two weeks later and said to subpoena them I need help here. I know what I was told and theyre now lying to me.Business Response

Hello my name is ***************************** I am reaching you because I have a problem with Uplift finance company and I really need you to help me on 6/13/2024 I create a loan to purchase a ticket from Cheapflightsfares the purchase amount was above 4000$ after booking within one hour I decide to cancel the ticket I called cheapflightsfares and they told me they didn't issue a ticket and there is no charge on my account but after when I called uplift they told me there is two strange charge on my account one is tap portugal 303.54$ the date of transaction is 06/19/2024 the other one is Delta ***** and the date is 6/14/2024 I don't recognize this charges and also cheapflightsfares doesn't recognize and keep in mind that loan is only for one time use and created only for cheapflightsfares not someone else I sent letter of that company that they didnt charge a ***** to that card and this so called bank giving me hard time they say call delta or tap which I called and they said we dont know anything about it since UPLIFT didnt give and not giving me full card number and not only that there is no booking code since they didnt issue a ticket and my ticket was AIR FRANCE not TAP OR DELTA now I stuck this charge doesnt belong the company not filing despute the so called supervisor which her name ***** was very rude and liar they want to charge me or better to stay steal money from me they dont want to have confrence call with cheapflightsfares I want those charges to be removed since this is not fair and that doesnt belong to me since that one time use only was only for cheapfaresflights my due date for 404 payment is on july 13 and I really need your help to remove this charges which is not mine and its fraud I feel this bank they are bunch of crooks and liars from supervisor to regular employee I called so many times for 15 days they are playing game supervisor doesn't answer emails and calls please solve this problem my loan name is Cheapflightsfares loan id ************Business Response

I dont accept with the bank answer since this bank is very dishonest and bank unfortunately I am dealing with bunch of liar and crooks and I am the only one who suffers here what they say its not realistic it is impossible to reach merchant without any card information this so called bank they open loan account under your name but they do not provide virtual card information number but at the same time they let bunch of criminals to have access to your card and use it after wasting my time for two weeks and dealing with dishonest supervisors who didn't want to talk with me at the beginning they didnt want to answer my calls all they say contact with the merchant without giving my full card number however I called Tap air Portugal and they locate the charge two passengers got ticket from ***** to ********* its one way ticket and the booking code 3KA5GU and name of those passengers are ************************************ and the other one is *************************** their booking made through third party agency which is not cheapflightsfares I create that loan only for paris trip and the name of the loan is Paris trip my ticket was AIRFRANCE LAX-CDG BUSINESS CLASS I sent the letter that cheapflightsfares didnt charge any money and I dont know where this charge came from this so called ***** bank didnt put a little effort to contact with the *** AIR PORTUGAL and also with Delta not only that 15 days ago there was only one charge which was DELTA AIRLINES 95 charge and I called them told them I dont recognize the charge but again they didnt do anything they could've stop the card which they didn't and another charge came which was tap fraud happening here and its obvious and this bank wants me to pay it for it is this legal? I explained everything whatever they say is lie and also before they approve the loan they didnt tell me even if fraud happens its going to be your responsibility this bank doesnt file disputes this bank doesnt share my virtual card number but at the same time they let others access all those info I clearly explained everything before it is obvious fraud happened and when I talked with Tap two people which I shared their name on the previous message they bought one way ticket from ***** to ********* my trip was AIRFRANCE from LAX-CDG not ******* also this card is only for one time use how come this card charged two times and two different times with two different merchant and not only that through third part agent which wasnt cheapflightsfares this is clearly fraud and also this so called corrupt bank must tell their consumers before they approve the loan that there is no dispute and they are not responsible for fraud they are not transparenta and their system its not safe and full of issues also when there was only one charge which was ***** airlines and it was 95 dollars I contact with these unprofessional liar people and told then what was happening but again they didnt stop the card till the second charge came and big charge came these people they are not relastic and what they say its lie this company its very suspicious company that I wont recommend to my worst enemy nothing make sense with this bank they are full of violation this mistake fraud happened because of irresponsibility of this bank

I placed a trip through Uplift for a trip for Air and Hotel for my Wedding last year. I went online and cancel both trips and received a email with a refund back to uplift. I never took them trip and now they placed my on collections for a trip I never took and money was refund back to them. I never took the trips. I had planned on taking them but do to other cost is decided on not taking the trip. Inwemt on there site and cancelled both of them and they sent them refunds for the trip I didn't take but now they are trying to make me pay for either the flight or hotel. I did not ask for any credits or anything. My assumption was the entire amount of the loan/ trip was all removed since the money was sent back to them.Business Response

Uplift, *** is a buy now pay later service for flights. I was to pay $104.47 a month. I ran into financial hardship and reviewed all of my monthly obligations, and underpaid a couple months as my contract didn't state these were reportable to the credit bureaus. However, they did report and dropped my credit score by 60+ points on all of the big three.In my contract underpayment is clearly defined, separately from missed payment returned/unsuccessful payments and late payments as seen in section 8. Section 16 goes on to state that MISSED payments and LATE payments MAY be reported to the credit bureau. My concern is that nowhere in my contract does it state that an underpayment can become a late payment or missed payment. Section 8 states that an underpayment has a balance still due by the date but it does NOT say that an underpayment will be reported as a missed or late payment. After having this escalated over multiple days their complaint manager explained that they convert underpayment to late payment, but I stated I read the contract literally and that interpretation leaves ambiguity. My next point of concern is that I called customer support and attempted to speak on this attempt. I requested that they pull the recording and call logs, as their representative made many false claims that have legal implication. She said that she would not read the contract with me in the sections Im saying because its just common sense, which isnt a legal standing in contract law. She also said that the terms of my agreement do not have to be included in the contract that even though I signed the agreement the opinion of the representative trumps the clearly defined language of our contract. She said she isnt legal and wouldnt speak to my contact, so I requested to speak with someone else for which I was abruptly hung up on. I am rejecting this response because I stated they had a lot of grey area in the contract that is open to interpretation. My only acceptable response is for the fix to my credit report and I will continue to make payments to the loan, but I will no longer make lower payments after the discussion. I will make full payments and have it paid off in the next 2 months. I shouldnt have had to reach out this way to get their attention that the contract is vague and can be interpreted by the definitions they provided which does not include partial payments as convertible to late payments. The business has not made any concession on part of the open interpretation of the contract in which a reasonable person could have multiple interpretations. The openness of the contract is visible when their customer service rep told me on a recorded line that it doesnt say it in my contract and it should be common sense which is evidence that it is not clear that partial payments will be converted.Sincerely,

This is a false statement. We have not been in contact I had the team reach out one time. There is absolutely a grey area, and it is visible by listening to your customer service rep who stated and I quote it doesnt matter if its in the contract it should be common sense. Common sense is subjective, and not only does this justify a reasonable person would see the interpretation, but a representative of your company can also see my interpretation but said it isnt common sense. I have stood by my assessment that there is no other satisfactory answer. If need be, your grievance team has acknowledged the recording, and I will have it subpoenaed. Id rather handle this amicably however you as a company are not standing by the contracts you insist we sign. I understand now what youd like your contract to state, but it doesnt state that currently in the form that I signed.

Our company name is Uplift Investing, Incorporated based in ********** and we have no clients based in *******. I don't know how/why BBB links us to this complaint as it has no evidence of any relationship to our firm By extension, we become victim of this unrelated claim or complaint. Please remove us from this complaint as we have nothing to do with it.
We are in a heavily regulated industry and file annual report with regulators, an honest company. This inquiry just validates that our decision not to be part of the BBB or pay fees to your bureau - the evidence that this complaint doesn't relate to us is so obvious.

I was notified on June 17th that I was reported as delinquent on an account, **********************. I knew the account was paid off so called the company. The company knew that I had a fraud warning in April on my debit card and they were unable to collect my automatic payment. They notified women on an old email address that I no longer use for businesses like theirs. I did pay as soon as I realized there was a problem and paid off the account in May.I told them this was a mistake and asked if they could remove the negative reporting because I acted promptly to remedy the problem. The representative states they that Uplift does not do good faith credit reporting removal. I reiterated it was a mistake and asked again to have it removed. The company states they can not remove the credit reporting because they do not do that. I explained it was a mistake and lack of communication. They did not seem to care and told me they would not fix the negative reporting to the credit bureaus. I feel this is an inappropriate response and action on their part. I tried to do an application for uplift online and I keep getting denied and the denial says application cannot be verified. I tried to call uplift. They do not have a phone for customers to talk to them, they do not have a chat on their website anymore for customers to talk to them and they do not answer your emails for customer to talk to them. I sent verification twice of my IDs. Uplift has falsely reported derogatory marks on my credit report that needs to be removed. In an attempt to prevent further damage to my score I paid the balance. UpLift approved and lent money on multiple accounts in my name. I found out about the debt in my name through a loan process. The loan cannot go through with these delinquent balances. The company has reported the delinquent accounts to only equifax but does not show any late payments and has not affected my credit score. The company has not sent any collection information via mail. I reported the accounts to the ********************** **************** and have only received 1 vague email from them.
