      This is honestly probably one of the worst banks/worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life. I highly recommend staying away from this company if you value your funds. So lets get to the story. I opened this bank account and moved some money over and started a direct deposit with my employer, within a week or so. My bank account was automatically closed after 20+ phone calls go to some stupid voicemail. Like tell me how a company that suppose to be in trusted with your hard earned money can just ignore your calls, they call you when you are at work, especially when you specify in your voicemail call me after 6pm, but whatever maybe they didnt hear that part. Come to the weekend, what a phone tag war, every other thing says they are closed, the app says open and website and automatic recording said they are open too and yet cant get to talk to someone or wait in hold. You call and it either sends you to a voicemail or automatically hangs up on you when you go through the prompts, like unbelievably frustrating. However when you call from a different number (not associated with your bank account) somehow they respond and they are magically open. Two weeks in i get a weird phone call with weird noises in the background and while i was on the phone i ****** the phone number +45. Something guess what its from *****/*******. I immediately think this is a scam. How this AMERICAN COMPANY IS CALLING YOU FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY?Yet I answer, the sofi agent was accusing me of doing unusual transactions because they were unable to get my money from my other bank and blamed me of not having funds which I certainly do The SOfi agent offered to do a conference call to get my money from the other account (which seems like a SCAM) so I told him to just close my bank and put the funds to the bank linked to my account which I believed it was the safest answer to say if he really had my information and this wasnt a scam.I obviously keep thinking this is a scam.

      If I could leave zero stars for this company I would. About five years ago, I switched my federal loan to a private loan due to low interest rates as well as a better deal (at least it seemed so at the time). Since then, I have returned to school and have had nothing but headaches with this company ever since. For the past four years, I have been completing and submitting paperwork for payment deferral as I am a grad student. I had been waiting to use unemployment forbearance until it became absolutely critical to use this option, especially as it is available for in three month increments, and there is a limit of 12 months total in which you can use the unemployment forbearance. This summer, I have been unemployed so completed the paperwork. As it expired this month, I called the company to complete the unemployment forbearance option once again. Unfortunately, however, I was told that this option was discontinued, and Sofi no longer offers unemployment forbearance. I received no notification in the mail, I recived no heads up, and I have had multiple conversations with Sofi over the past 8 months to understand the best repayment plans available while I complete my degree. I appealed and requested an exception due to the fact that no one had informed me that there would be or even had been a policy change. As a response, Sofi unilterally made the decision to deny my exception. Again, they did not contact me nor send me any paperwork or notices related to this decision (so yes, again, no transparency or accountability). As an added complication and headache, Sofi also contracts out their collection services so I am having to call Sofi and their servicing company, Mohela, to understand what is going on. Of course, if I talk to someone at Sofi, they refer me to Mohela. When I contact Mohela, they will refer me to Sofi or inform me that the policies and policy decisions are made by Sofi. Both companies are Awful. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

      This company does not honor their contracts and does not care about its' customers or its' employees. I began working with Wyndham in early 2022 because a friend of mine was a Loan Officer there and I prefer to work with friends when possible. I received a quote for a mortgage loan and the process was going well, and then Wyndham let go of half of their workforce, including my friend. We decided to keep working with Wyndham because we had already paid $600 for an appraisal and were close to closing. We got delayed in closing because my wife is a travel nurse and I was finishing school, and we got passed between 5 different loan processors / officers as they continued to fire staff. This was immensely frustrating because we had to keep reexplaining our situation to the new points of contact at the company, which slowed everything down. We finally got to the end but then the day before closing they sent me an updated terms sheet with a full percent increase in my quoted interest rate and about $10,000 in "discount fees" which was not on the original contract. I had my rate locked on the contract so when I disputed this and included the language from their contract they said that they could not honor their original quote, and that the contract language around the term Rate Lock... I quote.... "Could have been worded better."So in short this company screwed me out of a $600 appraisal, dragged this process out for months, fired my friend and reneged on their own contract. Go somewhere else, these people are crooks.

      I had buyers under contract on a home and 2 days before closing, the Senior Mortgage Banker sent this email to me and the buyers: "Underwriting has come back with a decline for the file, due to DTI and credit casefile. Without a large increase in down payment or assets, the loan is dead."No explanation, no solution offered. They had provided everything needed in a timely manor and up to that point, there was no indication that their loan approval was in jeopardy. Debt to Income and Credit is checked at the very beginning of the process so this felt like a misdirection. I believe something is going on behind the scenes with SoFi and they have been advised to pull the plug on certain loans with a low locked in rate, which my clients had. I had my buyers immediately contact one of my preferred lenders who got them fully approved in 24 hours and is closing the deal in 11 days from start to finish. Meanwhile, SoFi had 34 days to do it and couldn't (or wouldn't) get the deal done. My buyers ******* money of $4,500 was in jeopardy because of this shady business but luckily, the sellers were willing to extend once they got approved through my preferred lender.

      Zero Stars. This place is an absolute disgusting scam. Card was opened fraudulently under my name through application fraud. I have spoke with 4 people all of which give conflicting info. 4 emails, 4 phone calls later All I have is that they have flagged the account as fraud. Chargers in ********* to the tune of $12,700 on a $12,500 limit ran ** in a little over a month. If you receive any bit of unsolicited mail from this company I would immediately check that nothings been opened fraudulently under your name. This will likely take months to clean up because of the total ineptitude of their fraud department.

      Got approved for a loan smooth easy process, unfortunately though I sent a referral to my mother in-law because they do a $300 referral bonus. Contacted SoFi and they claim she did not use the link I sent. I actually assisted her with her application and clicked the link myself. So I will not be receiving my $300 apparently plan to stop all business with them. Tip: Do as your advertisements say! Lost a customer because the company couldnt own up to giving a $300 credit.

This company sets the bar for all financial institutions. They answer the phone, email, and text all hours of the night! They work extremely hard to keep you happy.       A SoFi credit card was fraudulently opened in my name. I had never heard of the company until I received a past due notice for $967. I called immediately to notify them it was a fraudulent account. It was extremely difficult working with their customer service. I filed a police report and filed with the *** and here it is 4 months later and countless phone calls, emails, mail correspondence and notarized documents and they are still trying to claim the charges are legit. They are continuing to report the charges to the credit bureaus. A SoFi representative admitted that internally they could see that the person who made the application and fraudulent charges is located in another state. If they run the rest of the company the way they run their fraud department then I would say it's the last place you want to have any financial connection.
