      I Applied for a loan with SoFi. What they advertised appeared to be a bit better than I would have done just paying off the credit cards in the 3 year programs they offered. But they came back saying they couldn't do what they advertised and offered a substantially higher package. I cancelled the application, but after reading the reviews I thought I had better get registered with BBB. It looks like a bait and switch to me.

      We have been doing business with Wyndham Capital Mortgage for several years now. We did our 1st refi back in 2016 and had such a great experience that we have been back for a purchase and a couple more refi's. We have worked with ****** each time and the process have been fast and efficient. Our most recent refinance was completed in July 2022 and from the date of our application to closing was a little over 2 weeks. It was amazing! The team is very professional and responded quickly to any questions we had. I would definitely do business with them again and recommend them to our friends.

      SOFI is an unethical and predatory lender. We fell behind on payments during the height of Covid-19 but we paid off the loan in full and fulfilled the entire obligation. We could have paid off a negotiated settlement for 2/3rds of the full obligation but we felt strongly that we needed to pay it in full. They refused to accurately reflect that the loan is paid in full with the 3 credit bureaus. This is highly unethical and is destroying our credit worthiness. I would not recommend using SOFI.

      My spouse and I were thrilled to have reached the end of what felt like a successful attempt to refinance our personal loans with a new one at SoFi. We were very happy with the approved APR offered (to be clearI dont mean the pre-approved APR) until we reached the last step regarding autopay, and it was casually a new, higher APR for both the non auto pay and auto pay. I immediately called SoFi because their website said it may have been due to needing confirmation from our employersa step we would have taken to obtain the promised APR. The rep told us 1) we shouldnt have applied through Credit Karma, but should have directly. 2) He ignored my questions about our employers and attempted to claim the approved interest rate was qualified by small print that stated that number came only if we did auto pay AND set up a SoFi checking account with $1000 monthly direct deposit. There was no such small print. There was a discount to the APR for doing the autopay, but none of the numbers he was listing even matched math that would achieve the approved APR. The next day my spouse spoke to another rep via live chat. They confirmed the requirement of auto pay and a checking account with $1000 monthly direct deposit. The discounts still didnt reach the approved APR mathematically. This is incredibly offensive and deceptive. This rep acknowledged that this was all misleading. We canceled their loan offer, but my spouse has a hard inquiry on his credit report-my account getting one is TBD.

      I got a personal loan through them and then got the money scammed. They don't work with 3rd-Party Credit Consolidatiors and very hard to work with in order to make partial payments to. They want you to agree to their terms instead of what you can afford to give. I highly don't recommend Sofi due to their bad customer service and willing to work with their customers in payments

      My account was frozen over a month ago. My paycheck has continued to be deposited into account but I have zero access to my money. I call and email daily but not once has anyone returned a single call. I cant pay my bills becaus SoFi wont let me have my hard earned money. My wife is 6 months pregnant and I cant buy groceries!!

      Today I am getting ready to go on vacation and my Sofi credit card did not go through on a transaction but I did have available funds. I called Sofi today and they said that my card was flag as fraud. I never got a call when it was flagged on Aug 3. I made a payment on Aug 11 no call, I called Sofi on Thursday Aug 18 and Aug 19th the team member never mentioned Fraud to me. Oh your payment will be posted midnight Aug 19th. Called again today and got the Fraud conversation from another employee. Spoke to a manager who is trying to take care of this but Train your staff! I run a support center and this would not be acceptable and would make things right today!. RUN!!

      I'm very sorry I can't write everything I want to here due to word count limitations, but I'll try to be succinct. I already initially felt screwed with my **** interest rate, which they sold to me as a good value but then added it to the transaction fees; the extra $300/monthly mortgage I'd end up paying didn't rest well with me, but I continued on the application. My generous self-employment income is meaningless to ****** ***, so I had to use my husband's income to refinance. They wanted proof though that we filed an extension for 2021 and on that form it showed we had $33,000 estimated taxes due. They saw this as a possible debt and questioned it. Interesting they never asked if it had already been paid, which it had. They refused to consider my income, which the taxes came from, and the *** didn't think I owed anything yet because I hadn't filed, so it was all theoretical. Interesting they will refuse to use income to evaluate my loan worthiness, but will consider taxes from that income to penalize me.So further humiliate by that, then I pay $550 of my own money for an appraisal from someone I can't choose, who lowballs the value of my home, maybe because we're a gay married couple, maybe because it helps the mortgage company, but the result was it was $15k lower than even the lowest end of Zillow, and that of course raised my estimated loan fees by "only" $500, which then made the appraisal $1150 in reality. My lender was mystified why I seemed to be upset over $500, but the disappointment was from the beginning, and then we just got dinged and tricked along the way until I had to realize I was being taken advantage of. I will do another appraisal in the allotted three-month waiting period to see if it greatly varies, whether we were discriminated against as a gay couple, or just not part of the secret agreement between the appraiser and the lender. I'm glad to keep my low mortgage for the moment and see where my appraisal falls in the shorterm.

      We bought our 1st home with Wyndham Capital! **** and the team were always there when we had questions or concerns. They worked great with our realtor as well. They made this process seem easy. They have an online portal that was easy to use to send files and sign documents. We feel so lucky to have found them and will definitely work with them again!
