    Bait and switched. Booked Days Inn on 8/4 as our flights had changed and we needed to add an extra night to our stay. Didnt look too bad and reviews were decent. Literally the only reason I used snap travel was for the price/quality of the room. I didnt need anything super fancy as we just needed a clean room with a shower and bathtub (so I could soak my feet) 10 days before our trip (more than a MONTH after booking) I receive an email that Snaptravel can no longer accommodate our room, as the hotel was closed but they have another place they can switch us to. How did nobody know it was going to be closed until 10 days before we went? We went by and it was totally boarded up and that definitely did not happen within 10 days, and was obviously already planned to happen. With the festivals, football season just starting and the weekend rates, our option was to take this other room or pay more than double what we had already paid and booked through snap travel. Hotel was called shalimar I feel we did not have an option and we were bait and switched. Had we been switched to somewhere of equal quality I wouldnt be sending this email right now. Literally probably one of the WORST hotels (if you can even call it that). Sketchiest area of town. We checked in late because we were just going to go back to the room and relax/soak before our flight in the morning. First impression- boarded up graffiti building directly across the street, super sketchy area. Dried puke in the parking lot that was still there when we left (I wish I took more pictures than the ones I took) MOLD on the ceiling from a leak that did not look remediated. I have photos if needed. Possible p*** on walls and someone elses makeup all over the sheets. Bathtub drain was broken, walls and light switches so filthy. Not the hotel I booked. There is no way they didnt know until 10 days before my trip that the hotel I booked wasnt available.

    Had never heard of snap travel but their prices were a significant savings compared to the other sites and booking was easy. I kept looking for the fine print or some kind of glitch like an extra fee but was pleasantly surprised at how simple and easy it was. Hotel clerk said the confirmation came through faster than any other sites shed ever dealt with?
