The products were very good; but, my reason for 5 stars is solely based on the immediate response I received to an issue I had with automatic shipment. When I signed up for service I didn't realize I opted for auto shipments. When I was surprised by a notice of an upcoming shipment and an automatic charge for products, I reached out to customer service at 9:39 PM on April 20th. Not only did I receive a reply to my issues, my issues were resolved the next day with an apology and a full refundGrove Collaborative

Shipping was a mess, literally. One of my poorly packaged bottles leaked all over my order and the box. My order literally arrived in a soaked box in a garbage bag to hold it together. Then to make matters worse, Grove customer service is a joke. They refunded me for the 1 item with an account credit that didnt even cover the full replacement cost of ordering a new item. When I reached out again multiple times to get my money actually refunded, *** heard nothing back. So now I have an account credit with a company I dont plan to do further business with and Im without the product I ordered. Good luck getting someone in customer service to respond. Predatory scam!!! Unknown to me, they charged me $65 a month for items they put in my cart, that I didn't put there, and never sent me anything. This was on top of the yearly $20 VIP charge they advertise on their website.Grove Collaborative

Grove has some genuinely great products, but unfortunately that is completely overshadowed by their shady and intentionally convoluted business practices. My first issue with Grove started when I signed up for an account with a discount code that was sent to me in the mail. What I didnt know, because it was not on the pamphlet OR even on the website used to sign up, was that Grove automatically signed me up for their PAID VIP membership, which isnt cheap for something I never wanted in the first place. Most likely, this membership sign up was written into their Terms of Service, which is shady. Then, theres the feature of the auto-shipments. Every month, Grove will automatically charge your card and send out what you have in your cart if it meets their low threshold. Conveniently, there is no option to cancel auto-shipments, and when Grove support tells you there is, what they really mean to say is that you can postpone it up to four months in advance, but you cant turn them off. Shady! Recently, Grove has implemented another new feature without giving notice that automatically subscribes you to several items that - surprise! - meets this threshold and, unless you catch the email you were never expecting, will be shipping that out ASAP. And, to top it all off, there is no way to remove your card from your account. If you want to, youll probably have to jump through hoops and contact their customer service, if its even allowed. ********************** intentionally takes advantage of their main customer base: families, that have neither the time or knowledge to be sifting through Grove emails, especially when they were never given a hint of Groves shady practices in the first place. AVOID GROVE, DO NOT MAKE AN ACCOUNT. They are constantly updating and adding more features that are thinly veiled attempts at taking your money and praying that you didnt notice their single email among many. Please dont support them by buying their products in Target either.Grove Collaborative

Youll always hear back within 24 hours (and often much faster than that)! While reviewing your account, I see that you contacted our Customer Happiness team for the first time (since becoming a customer in September 2022) on 12/7/2022 regarding your *** membership. Our team quickly and kindly assisted you in canceling the membership and refunding the *** renewal fee per your request. Your account has been fully deactivated as of March 24, 2023, when you contacted our team. Scam business. They make it impossible to cancel subscriptions/services and when you finally think you have (because theyve told you that youre canceled), they continue to bill your credit card. **************** is passive aggressive and unhelpful. You may also cancel your VIP Trial or VIP membership by emailing ********************************** You may cancel your VIP membership at any time, but your cancellation will be effective at the end of the then-current annual subscription period unless canceled within the 30 days from the charge date for your current subscription period. This means that if you cancel your VIP subscription after 30 days or more of the charge date of your subscription, your VIP Program subscription will continue for the remainder of that subscription period and you will not receive a refund.While reviewing your account, we see that you connected with our Customer Happiness team a few times. Our team credited your Grove account $60 for the 3 VIP renewal charges since the refunds requested were well beyond our refund window (30 days) as described in our Refund policy. Upon escalation to a senior member of our team we were able to refund the most recent charge from 10-27-2022. Additionally, we relayed that the others could not be refunded due to system limits related to the age of the charges. Our team members responded to your questions promptly, respectfully and in accordance with our Company policies set forth in our Terms of Use. We are so sorry to hear about your experience. That is certainly not the experience we wanted for you to have. At this time we have exhausted all of our options for resolving this issue. Grove is a total scam. Even tho the initial offer looks enticing and they have clean products - never give them your credit card info. They will keep sending you things, charging you fees even tho you didnt order anything. They will automatically put everything you order on auto ship without telling you. Now they are sending me the exact same products I ordered one month ago and I havent even opened the ************** yet. Emailed them before my order shipped and got no response. They shipped it anyways 3 days after my email. Very shady business practices. Sneaky way they set your account up so you dont know youll keep getting orders. Avoid at all costs.Grove Collaborative

Per your communication with our Customer Happiness team on 2-15-2023, your VIP membership had been canceled but your automatic shipments were still active on your account which is why this order processed. This company automatically opts you in to a subscription for the "free gifts" they offer in your first order -which are no longer free after the first time. They don't ask if you want a subscription order, just start automatically giving you one. They also opt you into their $19.99 VIP membership without telling you. Their own site claims they will email you two days before charging you that VIP fee, but I never received that email and woke up this morning to a $19.99 charge to my PayPal account. They also make it difficult to opt out of any of thisGrove Collaborative

I am able to log into my account but once logged in none of the links associated with editing or viewing my personal account or account setting do not work. The ************ available is to "add to cart". I cannot edit my subscription or access my VIP options. When I click on "your setting" it takes me right to "choose my gift" or "SHOP ****'s favorites"... None of the links under "Your Account" work. I can't even check my order history. The link just takes me straight to SHOPPING and adding to my CART. Seems crocked to me!! BEWARE!Grove Collaborative

I had such problems with shipping with Grove Collaborative. My first order was lost. They resent the order with some items missing and the rest were damaged. They sent another shipment, but it was returned to sender for some reason. They finally resent the damaged items, but still an item missing. Then finally sent the last missing item from the order. All this took numerous email communications with Grove and **** I gave them another chance and ordered again. That order was returned *** to sender by *** with no explanation. The whole experience was frustrating and a waste of time. I will not order from Grove again. I only hope I get my money back for the last order without too much more wasted time.Grove Collaborative
