      Made the mistake of buying a house with a solar lease and taking on the previous owner's lease. We noticed a leak in the ceiling of one bedroom in the spring and notified the company. They sent somebody out two weeks later who said he identified the problem and will file a report and that I'd be contacted to schedule a repair as he needed more people for it. Fair enough. Only I was never contacted. So I followed up to see what was going on. I then was told the name of my claims manager and was told they'd contact me in 3-5 business days. Only they didn't. So once again I contacted them. They told me they were waiting on a third party vendor. Fine. I gave it more time. Didn't hear anything from them. Kept emailing. No response. Called multiple times. Never called back. One time they actually picked up and I was told I could submit my own quote for repair and they'd have the review committee consider it. I did that. Never heard back. I contacted them again still nothing. I'm now in limbo and fear I'll have to take this to arbitration. It's been over 3 months since initial contact. We have mold. A neighbor told us that the previous owners had to have the panels removed and the roof repaired and panels replaced. Clearly this isn't a new issue. Also the panels were not installed correctly according to our independent solar people who came to quote us a repair. They had pictures to show us and wow. Also the panels are not operating at what sunrun "guarantees" but that's hardly any surprise. Stay away from this company if you want any actual customer service.
