Netgear's ******** support is never something you want to work with. I had a CM2000 that had a firmware failure. Called ******** support and got a replacement sent next day shipping as I need internet for work. Due to failures in communication between the ******** support and RMA department the replacement unit took 5+ days to arrive. Once I received the refurbished replacement unit it was broken. Netgear support determined that they could not send me a new unit until they received the old unit. After almost 3 weeks a replacement unit has yet to be sent out and I have had to call 6+ times in one day after getting rerouted and placed on hold for over 3 hours. Additionally when calling 6+ times in one day ******** support hung up on me 3 times.NETGEAR

I called to get help about modem not connecting to main internet server. The first thing that they wanted was for to re do the warranty. The agent stated that I would only be charged if he was able to fix the problem over the phone. Low and behold two and half hours later he could not fix the problem and stated that because he took us through steps to fix the problem that he didn't believe it was a netgear problem. Even though connection for everything else was working. Will not be purchasing anymore equipment from this company.NETGEAR

I purchased a Netgear modem/router/cable serial number ************** I registered it on June 5, 2022. I wanted to purchase an extended warranty for two years for $79.00.
I made at least five or six calls to Netgear. The ******** service associates, I believe, are in India, do not speak good English, nor understand the issue.
I tried to use the link Netgear provided several times. It never worked. I talked to a manager who sent me a different link to apply for the warranty. He told me the information went through, but the bank was not accepting the charge.
I contacted Chase Bank tonight with my business Visa card number and asked him to release payment.
I do not have an hour to spend calling Netgear to make a simple purchase. The links and screens are confusing and in some cases, try to get the ******** to purchase additional services. Not interested.
All I want is the $79.00 two-year warranty.
I would not recommend Netgear ******** service. They're inept, hard to deal with and difficult to understand.
I am hoping that Chase Bank will release funds from my credit card to pay for the service. I also need a copy of the warranty from Netgear.

NEVER AGAIN I purchased a Netgear router/modem in Sept. 2021. In June 2022 the device stopped working. To verify that it was not an internet issue we had an Xfinity tech inspect to insure that the incoming signal was good which I had to pay $75 because it was not from there end, they tested and had a strong signal to the router/modem, but showed no signal coming out of the device. The tech indicated that the router was bad. I then contacted Netgear and was issued a case number at those times I requested for a replacement so that we could return the device for evaluation and replacement. This is the process as outlined in the NETGEAR Warranty. Instead of issuing a return of equipment they proceeded to ask that we perform tests to insure that the device was defective. It is pretty obvious that the device is not operating, its stuck on firmware update screen and they cannot do anything about it until our ISP refreshes it on there end. Once explaining that to my ISP they said it has nothing to do with them its from NETGEAR. Back and fourth for 2 days on the phone to have ZERO help makes me believe its 100% from the manufacturer NETGEAR Once again, I opened another case and they suggested that we sign up for their technical support service which has a fee which I decided to bite the bullet and accept STILL ZERO HELP This is not just me....It seems like this is happening to HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of people on the NETGEAR forum STILL NOTHING Im withen my 1yr and want my unit fixed ASAP or complete full refund of equipment or I will look into a class action lawsuit . 100% unacceptableNETGEAR

Do Not buy Netgear. Their devices do not last more than a few months or a year. Their service is non existent and is basically fraud. Bought Netgear 3 device mesh in 2020 from Amazon. After a few months encountered interruptions, patiently worked through it with service contract which they forced on me, with a promise of replacing the units with 3 calls for the same problem. Past 3 months been calling them 3 times a week, and te iced every excuse on the book, never re owned my replacement or talk to a supervisor. Finally called Amazon out of frustration of paying $500 and have such nightmare. ONE call and Amazon processed refund ! Now that's service! I called Netgear back to get my 19 months of service contract back , same issue ! It's a nightmare ! Nothing but nerve wrecking excuses and lies! I just love Amazon ...NETGEAR

Netgear is a horrible company. They use to be so good. They hold you hostage when your product stops working and try and sell you a warranty or service agreement. I
I bought an adapter for $50 from Best Buy (who I will be lodging a complaint with as well)
and forgot to do the 90 day warranty. Interesting that all of a sudden, my adapter stopped working. Had to call ******** support only to be told I needed to buy a service agreement for $50. So now this faulty adapter is costing me $100?? They are terrible that they train their ******** service people to upsell you. I can't get this adapter working so I'm going to throw it away and buy a new one from another company. I will NEVER buy anything Netgear again. I think they are a horrible money hungry business and should be called out. I'm going to complain on many places, Yelp, Facebook, etc. that consumer beware! I don't like being forced into anything simply because I bought your product. This adapter should not have stopped working after 90 days. Netgear shame on you! I think you know exactly what you are doing with this extorting business model. What a terrible terrible business you have become.NETGEAR

Since the adapter is out of support warranty the technical team offered you a support contract to further assist you. However you refused to sign up and requested to talk to a supervisor.
Please be advised as per consumer warranty policy customers will have 90 days free support warranty that covers basic troubleshooting and configuration.
