  Completely unresponsive to help solve a problem that would result in an upgrade to their services. I was able to get in contact with a rep once who said a ticket had been issued for our situation but no one contacted me and my repeated contacts back to the rep were met with silence. Their phone is disconnected. I would not do business with them.

  It is impossible to reach anyone at this company, even if you want to pay them! Even the phone numbers listed on the BBB site are disconnected.

  Survey Monkey advertises low rates to do a basic survey, but the actual cost is much higher, which seems dishonest. They then can't even send in a way as to get past spam folders, and then after the fact I'm told by customer service that they "could have helped with this" after I spent $208 for something that wasn't very helpful or straightforward. Complete fail on the most basic function. Tricks you into auto renewal and won't give a refund for months in which you don't use their services. I used them because in the past I had a good experience. AVOID.

  I work for a small non-profit organization and we have used SurveyMonkey for several years using the annual membership. Last year we transitioned into different survey software and no longer needed our membership. Our account auto-renewed and we were automatically charged $380 to our company card. We attempted to request a refund as soon as we saw the charge on our account, less than two weeks into the new annual period, and SurveyMonkey support has been completely unwilling to issue a partial or full refund despite us not using the service.

  I work for a nonprofit. We did one survey in seven years of business, not our usual gig. We needed ***** responses only. After doing the whole "free account" thing, come to find out you have to pay for any more responses than 10. OK, my bad, so where do I sign up? Started signing up, saw the price, GASP GULP, ok, let's do this. Somehow, I paid for a year, not my intention. NEVER got an email receipt. Not until the next month did I get an email advertising using the perks of this account, thought "that's weird" and low-and-behold, I was charged the wrong amount. Contacted CS, they said "I waited too long to notify them" um...had I received an email with the charge amount, I would have noticed immediately. "Doesn't matter" - says the company with the shadiest business practice around.Simply put...DO NOT PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT ****** CAN DO FOR FREE.
