We want to file a complaint on AAA Roadside and Battery Assistance, however, there was no address or headquarters we could submit the complaint to. My daughter requested Triple A to replace her car battery. When someone from Ramos Towing Company, contracted with Triple A, arrived to replace her battery, they put the battery in the wrong way and destroyed many car parts. Then, when we complained, the company deleted the request that my daughter filed and lied, saying they never touched the car battery. Now, my car is in the Volkswagen dealership and costs about $3,000, and neither company wants to take responsibility. We will be filing another complaint for the Ramos Towing Company located in Riverside, California. We called Triple A at ###-###-#### and talked to the claim department, and they said they would pay for it if the towing company didn’t. However, they ended up refusing us. Our case number with them was 38***7. Ramos Towing Company also gave us the work order number 292195. Ramos Towing Company’s number is ###-###-####.Business Response

Our response offers apology. We explain the service provider is an independently owned and operated business and is responsible for any damage resulting from their actions or those of it’s employees. Based on our review, we are unable to hold the service provider responsible for the damages reported. The diagnostic test detected pre-existing issues with the vehicle charging system and alternator. If there are any questions, please contact ****** ***** at ###-###-####.

On December 10, 2022, at about 5:00PM, I and my husband in the car with me, was stuck on the Northbound 405 Freeway in a highly dangerous area (although I was able to pull on the shoulder). After being on hold for about 15 minutes, I was told that a tow truck was on it's way and will be there in 20 - 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I called back and was told to wait another 10 minutes. After 3 hours and multiple requests and especially informing that it was a HIGHLY dangerous situation, no tow truck showed up. I researched and finally was able to contact a nearby private towing company and they were able to arrive within 10 minutes and towed us safely to our house. By this time it was already 8:00PM. This is the second time I've been in this situation, the first time was about 6 months ago, I did not file a complaint then since I was not in a dangerous situation and it was one off so I let it go. This is absolutely unacceptable. I have been a member for over 25 years. I really had to call a private towing before a tragedy occurred and made the situation even worse. I paid $290 and kindly ask to be fully reimbursed for it to prevent escalation to the Better Business Bureau. I have attached the receipt. Three plus hours waiting for a tow truck to arrive and pull me to safety is utterly unacceptable. Finally, at 9:30 PM, I received a call that AAA is on it's way and will be there in 5 minutes, seriously? Are you waiting for a tragedy to occur to remedy the situation? It still gives me chills thinking about the situation we were in. If you need additional information, I will gladly provide.Initial Complaint

On 12/10/22, an intoxicated driver by the name of ******* was dispatched to ************************************************************* and arrived late due to initially reporting to a locate in *********, 2 cities away. Upon arrival, he refused to assist and complained about how difficult it was for him to access the **** He smelled of alcohol and his pupils indicted drug use. Almost 2 hours later, we still do not have batter service. I am requesting either a refund or a free year of membership as this is the 2nd unprofessional experience I have encountered with AAA sub-contractors. We should not have been left in an unsafe area, with 2 children, 1 of whom is disabled, for this amount of time. I am not receiving the service promised via AAA's mission/vision statement.Initial Complaint

I needed roadside assistance because my serpentine belt broke on my 99 Integra that was lowered; the oil pan was 1 inch of the ground. I called AAA told them I needed a tow and a specific truck for my car. They were supposed to show up 3 times because I had to call three times for not showing up. Finally after being on the website and the phone, they said they could come but it was a GM tow truck instead this time, not AAA and I had wait till 11:00 pm. Keep in mind I originally called at 5:00pm after waiting in the rain and having to hold in going to the bathroom they finally showed up with the wrong truck, my front fender got scraped as well as my oil pan. Then the next tow I requested today (telling them Ill pay in cash for the tow) I had to call AAA twice now, the first time to schedule (and they have the wrong phone number on file), and the second time after the tow truck was late (I was told at 2pm when I first called that the truck will be at my location by 3:30). So Ive now had to call my mechanic shop to tell them my car will be towed there later. Now the mechanic shop is closed and I need my car fixed to leave the state soon. AAA just decided to not give me an ETA for the tow at the end, and they kept putting my phone number in the system wrong. No complaints with drivers always give a tip.Initial Complaint

My car was towed on 26 September in California, in which upon unloading my bumper was ripped off (**** ****** Skyline). I waited for two hours for a contractors flatbed to come pick up the car, which caused me to be late for a mandatory military appointment. Upon leaving for the appointment, I received a message saying there was damage to the front bumper due to the unloading of the vehicle, but due to work could not immediate drive the hours back to where the vehicle was. Upon picking up my car from the shop the following week, I found they had ripped the bottom front bumper off (which company acknowledged). I filed a claim through AAA and have forwarded it to them three times now, but all communication has vaulted on their end. They claimed they do not have any records since it was done through one of the contractors, and have not offered any assistance in rectifying the issue.I am requesting AAA to replace the front bumper and damage caused by the unloading of the vehicle, as I requested this service through their company.Initial Complaint

On November 10, 2022, I went on AAA of Sothern California's website to buy annual passes for Sea World. They had a buy 1 get one free on the Silver Pass I wanted. I purchased the passes and went to Sea World ********* on Friday November 11th. I had them scan the print out at the gate and was let in and went to guest services to get my passes printed. At guest services I was informed that the passes that the barcode is scanning is only a fun card. I told them I bought the silver pass and even the printouts say silver pass on them but Sea World said that since I purchased them through AAA that I needed to take it up with them. So on Monday morning I called AAA and they asked for 72 hours to look into it. I never heard back. I called again on the following Monday and was told I needed to contact Sea World because it was their problem but that AAA would look into it and get back to me in 72 hours. I contacted Sea World who said it was AAA problem since I bought the tickets from them. I never heard back form AAA so I called again for the 3rd time requesting my money back. They denied the request and said and I quote, "yeah thats *****, that is a bad situation. " So now I am out a bunch of money for a product I did not want or purchase.Business Response

I requested a service to recharge the battery of my vehicle, they sent a representative who mistakenly connected the equipment to the car and caused damage that caused me to incur other expenses, I immediately informed them of the problem, which they said would solve it after almost 2 months, they answered me that the company was not responsible and that if I wanted I could take them to court.Initial Complaint

My membership was set to be charged on October 19, 2022. I set up auto pay on my account so I wouldn't have to worry about paying it manually every month. I made that information clear when I signed up with the representative. For some reason, my membership was never set to auto pay. When I logged into my account, I tried to pay it manually but it would not work. I contacted customer service via email and have yet to hear back. After sending countless emails to customer service, I sent an email to the *** *************************** but again no response was ever provided and there has been no resolution to date. This is the second time this has happened to me. I was a member for years before this issue occurred the first time and again no one responds to the emails but they have a contact box on the website. The *** is worse, not answering the emails teaches other employees that they are not expected to do their jobs. It's beyond disgusting to pay these people for services they do not provide.
