I recently had a car incident in ********, ** (July 30, 2022) where I was stopped waiting at the left run light. My car tapped the vehicle in front of me. My car had no damage and the vehicle ahead of me may have only received a scratch on their rear bumper. The person of that vehicle had AAA auto insurance and filed a claim on me. The insurance adjuster immediately filed with the *** an SR1 on me before knowing how much this incident will cost. As it stands currently the cost of the repair is under $1000. An SR1 should not have been filed until the insurance company definitively knows it will cost over $1000. As it stands I will now need to wait for the final estimate and if under $1000 will need to do further paperwork to amend this issue with the ***.

My painters broke 2 sprinkler heads and fid not tell me. I discovered water in my front bedroom and closet a week later. I immediately filed my first ever claim with AAA on 7/7. The abatement company arrived on 7/20 to remove asbestos in the drywall mud, cutting open walls and installing pladtic wall barriers. AAA recommended Classic Restoration from their contractor connection list to complete the water damage job at my home. They accepted the job and I paid my deposit to start work asap. Today, 8/8, I just received a call from classic restoration advising me that no ******* will take the job because there is not much money in it for them? I went with AAA recommendations instead of seeking out my own contractors. Obviously AAA does not vet these contractors at all!It has been over 1 month since this claim started and all that has been done is ripping open walls in two rooms of my home!!!!I have no clue when this work will ever get completed!!! I am a Platinum AAA member and will start looking for new homeowners insurance upon completion of this claim.

I called AAA for the first time ever on Saturday July 30th at about 8:20pm because after filling my car up with gas the car did not restart for unknown reasons. Received a response from AAA saying a tow truck would arrive by about 9:15pm. Made Several calls and online responses throughout the night at a closed gas station continually being told that a tow truck was on the way. 14 Hours Later.....A lady on the phone told me that her records indicate that my service was completed at 9pm the night before. I said how is that possible after I have phone called and contacted online so many times throughout the night? The lady on the phone kindly asked me if I would like to request another service. My response was.."ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?" I protest, because I never got the first service contrary to her records. I wasn't willing to wait another 14 hours for a tow truck that *** or *** not show up.Would you wait another 14 hours for a tow truck? How valuable is AAA.. Worthless

The service has dropped off a cliff. Previously, I could get a tow truck within 30 minutes in ***********. Today, I called at 8:30 am for a tow and its 11:35 am and nothing. Been on hold for 45 minutes to get an update. I also have not received a single text updating me as to status or reason for delay. Truly Pathetic for a 35 year member.

I feel I need to mention my experience with a homeowners claim we had with Autoclub of Southern California. We have been with Autoclub for over *********************************** November 2021 when A pipe in the wall had a leak and did extensive damage to our downstairs. Autoclub sent out a contractor to give a bid for the repairs. When I contacted that same contractor to start the work, they informed me they only give bids and could not do the work for the price they gave to Autoclub. We had to hire our own contractor and the cost was double the quote. We were left paying the additional $30,000. I am very disappointed and will be changing insurance companies.

I've been a AAA roadside member for ************************************************************************** get into my locked car. I was shocked at how horrible the service was. From phone hold time, to three-hour waits for a technician who never showed up to the astronomically lame excuses I got from the supervisors, I can truly say this is the worst service I have ever received from AAA roadside. I had considered using them for car insurance but based on this experience and the comments here, I would never give these people any more of my business. Luckily, I discovered that I had roadside assistance through my GEICO car insurance policy and they responded within 30 minutes. I will most likely drop AAA roadside when the term expires. Good riddance to these people. Their reputation is in the crapper.

AAA has good roadside assistance but car insurance is too expensive and they raise it each year (even with various discounts, good driver, member etc). My biggest problem is two years in a row theyve wrongfully charged my account for a membership. I have a family membership paid by my parents, yet each year I have the same problem with them. Im forced to take it up with my bank and dispute the charge even after I call and talk to customer service. Im told its not showing up on their side and they cant see what account:card is being charged. Another time they charged my card (not linked to my parents) for my parents and other family members roadside assistance service. The woman I spoke to couldnt r plain how my credit card info was used on my parents account. Ive lost trust in AAA of Southern CA. Further their customer service is lacking. Be prepared to call multiple times to fix sn issue. My family (4 members) has been with them for years, but we are all seeking new roadside/insurance services if we havent already changed. I wouldnt recommend AAA.

I have been a member for 20 years. I think the service has gone downhill since I signed up. I called for battery assistance when my car wouldn't start. The *** they quoted was 90 minutes then delayed an additional 30 min. Finally when they came to check my battery they jumped it and said the battery was fine. By the way, it was a AAA battery that I had purchased in 2019 - the battery is supposed to last at least 5 years. Instead of replacing it on the spot they recommended that I go to *** Boys to get it tested. I went to Auto Zone that weekend and they said my battery was fine and so was my alternator. Cut to a 4 days later I take my cat to the vet and when I was leaving my car wouldn't start AGAIN. Because I needed to get my cat home, I took a Lyft and then decided to deal with it the next day by calling AAA to come out and jump start my car. The wait time again was 90 minutes. Then I got a status update saying it would be delayed another 90 min but by that time my service shop was going to be closed. I decided to take a Lyft to go home since it was too late. A driver called me 15 minutes later asking where I was. WTF?> I decided not to wait anymore and got a jump that day took my car into service station called AAA the next day to have my battery replaced since it was still under warranty at the service station - the rep asked if I was going to be there in person and I said no. They sent a driver out and then I get a call saying I needed to be there in person even though the initial rep didn't say so. They said I needed to be physically there even though I had NO car!! They recommended that I take an Uber?! After the time and amount of rides I had to deal with the day before? The rep on the phone was rude and cut me off instead of listening. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY THEIR LOW QUALITY BATTERY. ****** LEARNED. And their customer service was awful. Plus I didn't list all of the terrible things that happened along the way trying to contact them via phone.
