If you'd like to deal with a company that does not live up to their promises, planned to sell to public before rewarding their backers (and selling to the public at a cost cheaper than our pledges), and has an immensely rude customer service team, then this is the company for you. The worst part? The product just does NOT live up to what we were promised or the cost of it (on top of the extra shipping we were required to provide in order to get our pledges). The color is already chipping, I can't even open the cup's pop top (it was supposed to be a slide top, dunno what happened there), and the parts don't connect together well. There's constant movement of the parts and makes it sound like its ready to fall apart at any moment.
I'd just avoid this. Get yourself a hydroflask with a handle or literally any other stainless steel double walled container and you'll be better off. Concept great, execution extremely underwhelming. I would not recommend this company to anyone.Remaker Labs, Inc

Hi again, J***. All shipping group emails were sent out in late September. As we’ve shared in our backer updates over the last few months, and in the shipping emails sent to you, October 3rd was the final deadline for Kickstarter shipping collection in order to get you your pledge reward. Depending on the group that you are in, you have had between 2 and 5 opportunities to contribute shipping. We have been sharing monthly updates to explain the timeline of our fulfillment process, we apologize if any of those updates missed you.
We needed to set a deadline in order to place the purchase orders for future Hitches with our factory months early, with the exact quantities needed for backers, and then plan to book freight with final numbers shortly thereafter.Review fromOscar C

Remaker Labs had a great idea and had plenty of support and backing on Kickstarter. They did not forsee a a global pandemic coming, they did not forsee a host of issues coming which would increase shipping costs. So they asked their backers for more money. Which is fine, that happens.
However, if a backer missed an email (which many did because their emails were marker as spam in my email client) about the extra shipping costs, then they simply took your money, and sold your bottle to someone else.
This is a completely unethical business practice. I am happy to pay the shipping amount now, or they can return my original backing pledge. Instead, the company has chosen to take our pledge and use the money we pledged to produce our bottle and resell that same bottle to someone else. I hope someone brings this company to justice, or they find it within their own conscious to rectify the scenario.Remaker Labs, Inc

By backing a project on Kickstarter or Indiegogo, you’re helping to create something new, not pre-ordering something that already exists. You are essentially backing an idea, not a physical product- that is why they are referred to as 'perks' and 'rewards'. We sent 3-5 emails and updates explaining how to pay the additional fee, we are sorry they missed you.
We did not sell backer units to retail stores.Review fromAdrian H

Complete scam. Making backers wait time and time again for 2years with still no product. Then asking us to pay for additional shipping cost while you send out marketing emails with the product at a DISCOUNT wirh FREE SHIPPING and added bonus’ to others. You consistently are posting social content about your supposed product and when people make comments, you LIMIT their voices and don’t really respond. Amazing how far you’ve been able to go without a class action lawsuit. Maybe other reviewers and I should get together to file suit for going against your terms of agreement.Remaker Labs, Inc

We have gone to great lengths to ensure that backers always pay the same or less, in total, for their rewards (including shipping) than a web customer pays. Even with this special offer, it only applies to orders of 2X hitches or more.
In total, a web customer buying 2x or 3x Hitches, the total between what a web customer pays and what a backer pays is a difference of only about $10. For backers who have 4x Hitches, backers still save $10 over a web customer. This is because web customers pay much more for every Hitch, and that also translates into much higher VAT they must pay. We’ve also stressed in many of our previous backer updates Q&A that we are able to absorb these small differences of $5-$10 in shipping costs because of the higher price website customers pay per unit and we can absorb a small amount like that in our margin.
Please rest assured that backer orders are our #1 priority, and our team spends almost all our time and resources producing tens of thousands of units for this purpose. Also, as per our recent updates, we also reallocated a lot of retail units that would have gone for web customers to backers, to ensure that Group 3 and 4 can get fulfilled even faster. We have also gone to great lengths to ensure that backers pay the same or less than web customers, and in a few instances, like a special offer on the website, the difference is only a few dollars.Review fromPeter D

Paid over $200 for 4 bottles, and now they are asking for another shipping payment despite them raising $1.2 million dollars from the start.
I didn’t see the email before the window closed so now they tell me I won’t be getting what I paid for. Not even trying to make it right. An absolute joke of a company. Do not buy from themRemaker Labs, Inc

We needed to set a deadline in order to place the purchase orders for future Hitches with our factory months early, with the exact quantities needed for backers, and then plan to book freight with final numbers shortly thereafter. We have already done that as of this week with our factory.
Therefore, as we have not received your additional shipping collection before the deadline or during the extension, we are unable to fulfill your reward. Again, we have shared in multiple backers updates and shipping emails sent directly to you that this was the last opportunity to contribute additional shipping.
We want to thank you for helping bring our project to life. The support we got from our Kickstarter backers is what enabled us to run and grow our business, gather customer feedback, design new products and improve our initial design. In the Kickstarter community, the items that you receive after making a pledge are referred to as “rewards” because they are not purchases in the traditional sense. Think of rewards as gifts that are sent to our supporters as a token of appreciation for their support of our business.Review fromSabrina R.

Backed the kickstarter in May 2020 because I believed in it. I paid $10 for shipping for the early bird special. However, after 2 years and “issues with supply chain”, they want backers to pay additional shipping to get their product ($18 for 1 bottle), while charging basically nothing on their website for anyone. It’s disgusting and unbelievable that this is okay.Remaker Labs, Inc

Company over two years ago. Thought they would make nice Christmas gifts. Never received the product even thought they have been selling them direct to consumer for over a year. They blame supply chains and rising cost and after a two year delay they have just sent an email asking for $100 more if we want to receive what we paid for two years ago. Unbelievable. Do not support this company.Review fromAl W

1 starWasn’t going to review them but this is the final straw. Company already had us pay one extra shipping cost and now they’re trying to get us to pay an extra one. But yet some people already got their bottles and didn’t have to pay double shipping fees. As if that isn’t bad enough, you can go on the website and order the bottle for LESS than what kickstarter backers have paid. They refuse to send them out without more money. And if you don’t pay the extra (x2) fees, well you’re out of luck and they take your money and send you nothing. One extra fee? Ok. I get it. Pandemic. Two extra? Nah. Now you’re just scamming people. You can only cry pandemic for so long before people stop believing you. There has been kickstarter projects AFTER you that have been made, sent and received already so you’re excuses are thin and not believable. I would NEVER recommend this company or it’s products to anyone. Whoever they hired for logistics and financial decisions should be fired and never work again. Luckily some of us are smart enough and have started the joint lawsuit and are actively getting new members daily that have been wronged by them.Review fromMatthew R

1 starRemaker labs launched an indiegogo/kickstarter to fund they Hitch cup and bottle product. After receiving over $2million in pledges through indiegogo (unsure what they made through kickstarter) in fall 2020 they kept making promises about making headway and that backers’ rewards should be shipping “soon” it is now Summer 2022 and rewards have still not been shipped. However, they are happy to sell you a Hitch cup and bottle from their website, which has photos and reviews and says nothing about the delays they keep stringing their backers along with. This company has stolen millions in backing funds and failed to deliver on their promises.
