      I purchased a full clear aligner treatment plan from this company around August 2024. The package I paid for totaling approximately $2,900 explicitly included a set of final retainers at the end of treatment. These retainers were part of the advertised service and critical to maintaining the results Ive achieved through the *************, as I near the end of my treatment, I have been informed that I am no longer eligible to receive my retainers, despite having paid in full. The companys only explanation is that I am somehow "disqualified" from completing the treatment a vague and unsupported claim, especially considering that Ive followed through with my aligners and simply want the product I was *********** be clear:I did not cancel treatment.I did not request a refund.I am simply requesting the retainers that were part of my paid treatment plan.The company has refused to resolve this issue and has not made any attempt to offer a partial refund or compromise. They repeatedly deny me access to retainers I already paid for, which feels both unethical and deceptive.Furthermore, I believe their advertising is misleading. Nowhere during the purchase process or promotional materials was it clearly stated that retainers could be withheld based on subjective internal criteria or the company's unilateral determination of "treatment eligibility." Customers are not clearly informed that failing to meet unspecified conditions could result in the company keeping their money and denying the retainers.This is a bait-and-switch tactic, and I am requesting the following:Delivery of the retainers I was promised; OR A partial refund equivalent to the cost of the retainers and the portion of treatment they are withholding.I am also submitting this complaint to the ************************, as I believe this practice may violate consumer protection laws.

      I have reached out through the proper channels approximately on three separate occasions and was told that I could not get part of the items I paid for and my bottom aligners are almost done and Ill have no way to retain my results; so to ensure Im not ghosted again, Id like to have a representative reach out to me as they have done when they wanted me to make the purchase with some sort of confirmation or resolution to this problem! So that I have not wasted approx three grand, i understand if I needed more aligners that would be the case but i am simply asking for the final pieces of what has been already paid for within my package.

      Started the Byte aligner process May of 2023. I paid $2,677.95, which includes the $721.75 for byte protection plan/10 years' worth of retainers once the process has been completed. The process I paid for was supposed to be 4 months long, I understand revisions happen, but we are almost 2 years into this process and I'm not happy with the results received. In the past two years I've had refinement aligners sent twice, issues with the aligners ruining my gums, molding twice and hundreds of pictures via their app and countless emails. I sent a request to stop aligners on my bottom set of teeth as it was painful and my gums are deteriorating, but the teeth are still not straight. On 1/10/25 I was told by a ***** I will not need a dental visit to continue/complete my process. But on 2/20/25 I received an email from a ******** that to continue the process I would now need a dental visit with digital scan and x-rays. They have offered 400$ to offset the dental visit, but I do not have the time, PTO or money for a dental visit. Since then, I have requested a partial refund, refunding the aligners, but to continue with the retainers (I have yet to receive, bottom was ordered 7 weeks ago) so I don't have more issues with teeth shifting. Today, months after asking for a partial refund, they stated they will not offer a refund, even partial, only offering $400 to go to a dental x-ray and scan visit. I feel I have been taken advantage of and have not received the care and treatment that I have paid in full for. Attaching some of my emails.

      BYTE Aligners My Honest Experience I feel obligated to share my experience with Byte Aligners in hopes that it prevents someone else from going through the nightmare Ive been dealing with. Byte has caused serious, possibly irreversible damage to my teeth and overall oral health.After trusting them to straighten my smile, I was left with my teeth moved sideways, loosened (including mobility in my front tooth, which I never had before), and severe misalignment that has led multiple dentists to tell me I may now need a dental implantall because of these aligners. I am no longer a candidate for aligners due to the damage theyve caused.Ive reached out to Byte multiple times and their response has been completely inadequate. Theyve offered only a refund for the aligners and a single $140 dentist bill, despite the extensive and costly repairs I now face. I continue to receive automated check-in reminders from them, which is insulting considering the trauma theyve caused.Whats worse is that they are currently under a class action lawsuit for this exact issueand theyve admitted in notices that their aligners are harming people. Yet they continue to market and sign up new patients as if nothing is wrong.This experience has left me feeling ignored, dehumanized, and heartbroken about my smilesomething I used to be confident in. The emotional toll is just as real as the physical one. I am in the process of seeking legal action, but in the meantime, I want my story to be heard.Even at the time that Im writing this, I am in throbbing pain because I cant afford the dental expenses that they should be covering.

      I had contacted Byte multiple times about my aligners not fitting correctly. Originally I hustled needed photos, but then they wanted me to get X-rays from my dentist!? My problem was never resolved and so I tried to continue with my current aligners. It has been years and my smile has only gotten worse. I have gum issues and multiple chips in teeth!!! I asked for a refund and am stilling waiting to hear back.

      I have been instructed by my regular dentist to immediately stop using byte retainers d/t them causing malocclusion of my teeth. I have included dental letter. When contacting Byte regarding this, I was informed Id receive a full refund after providing said dentist letter and in ADDITION $200 to compensate for my dental visit. When providing said later, I have been now told they were not able to provide a refund. I now cannot get a response via phone, email or online chat.

      This business ensured an aligner guarantee that they are not honoring. I have been back and forth with this company for over a year. Theyre asking me to go and do an intraoral scan to be able to receive my aligners I paid thousands of dollars for. They did not tell us about this change, nor was it required when I first started with this company. They sent me an impression kit to use to create a mold of my mouth for my aligners which they still have record of.

      On 1/11/2023 I ordered the $12.95 impression kit order #******* then 2/28/2023 I placed an order #******* for the full aligners $1999. I received the aligners and they werent fully wrapped around the rear of my teeth, the aligners werent molded correctly. They also pinched and scratched my gums, causing irritation. I subsequently filed a ************************ case against Byte requesting a refund. They asked me to resubmit photos. I told them the aligners needed to be completely re-molded, and that my teeth probably needed to be re-impressioned to ensure it was done correctly as these ones did not work at all. Thereafter, I never heard anything. I would like a full refund by check sent to my address ***********************************

      Byte aligners were contraindicated by my local orthodontist. I returned the aligners at Byte's request. On 3/11/25 Byte says they processed a $1699 refund for the returned aligners. I never received the refund through the original payment method ******. I was told to wait 2 weeks and call ******. I called ****** and the refund was never sent. I called Byte for the transaction number of the refund and they have not provided it. Every time I call they tell me to wait 3 to 5 days for a reply. I want my promised refund!

      Byte has charged me for their service. They had required me to send medical proof from my dentist statin that the aligners were not working for my case and unfortunately creating more of a medical issue. I was told I would receive a refund, to which my account was stating the payment was processing, but never received into my checking account. I had contacted my bank like Byte had told me to do which they told me that it can take up to 35 days for it to transpire into my account and that the company seemed 'shady' for how long it was taking. 35 days hit, and I contact Byte. They stated I needed to contact *Splitit* their credit card processing team. I contacted them to which they had me give them very personal banking info. I was told i would receive a confirmation email once we hung up the phone in 5-7 minutes. Once 20 minutes had passed, I tried calling the number back to see why I haven't received my email to which I was constantly brought to a line where I was told about gift cards I had won etc. No one was helping me and they were constantly requesting more card information to be able to 'help me'. I have since been on the phone with Byte to which no surprise, have been giving me the runaround. I have already closed my bank account for uncertainty of who I was giving my information to since it was the number Byte stated was their affiliate, to which is not seeming likely due to the number of times they have told me I won a gift card. I just want my refunded money that I had paid.

      I purchased my Byte aligners on September 30th 2024 with a monthly payment plan of $94.53 and they finally arrived in the mail October 18th 2034. While the actual process of fixing my teeth was only supposed to take 4 months (or 14 weeks), its now been almost 6 months as of writing this (April 12th) and I have yet to see any difference in my teeth. They look exactly the same and now the treatment is completely overdue. I read some other reviews and complaints and realized that Im definitely not the first ****** this has happened to and Im just incredibly frustrated. Some people have even gone years having this issue and Im not putting up with it any longer if its not going to ******* seeking a full refund of what Ive already paid in the past 6 months or at least for my payments to stop going forward because I was a promised for my teeth to be fixed in a certain time frame and now its past the time frame and nothing has noticeably changed despite me following the exact directions of wearing them ***** hours a day.
