I'm looking for a job, so I post my rsum on Ziprecruiter, applied for two jobs and and the response was hello this is ***. I've been using zip recruiter a long time that position has been filled but I think you would be perfect for this position. It's a total scam it's money laundering!
Worst job site ever for finding a job and now they just send me all kinds of emails even though I've asked them to stop about jobs that I'm not even qualified for.

I tried the free trial and canceled the service after a month, but they charged me over $500 a month for the past 6 months! I did not use the service and yet they only would reverse one month plus a few days charges. Website is not easy to use and I will never use it again. I am also telling everyone not to use their services. Poor customer service.

I was hoping to get a quote for the company I work for, and the representative was extremely unhelpful and rude. We don't have a budget at this time, but would create one around quotes given to us. Instead, they flat out refused to assist us in getting a quote without us providing a detailed budget. When I called customer service to try to get this figured out, they scheduled a call for the wrong time zone with me, then the manager was equally as bad and unapologetic. The manager asked condescending questions, such as if I knew what a job requisition was after knowing I am a full-time recruiter. He repeated questions from a conversation that he claimed to have listened to, and did not apologize for his employee's poor behavior or his own behavior after I let him know he was being condescending. They throw numbers and figures at you and try to make a sale to charge you thousands of dollars. They're clearly reading from a script - it's like speaking with a real life wolf on wall street employee. I do NOT recommend using this company - hire a full-time recruiter because it will cost the same but the outcome will be better.

Ziprecruiter is a horrible scam that preys on employers. I signed up for a free trial to get my job published, which is the only way to get your job listed on the site. I received no notification that the trial was ending soon and that I would be charged, like any trial I have ever signed up for with any other company. Their billing system is also very sneaky, they charge you every single day the job is posted but you do not see a charge, bill or invoice until you hit $500! So months later, my company was charged over $3,000 and I didn't even know my listing was active! After the bank statement came in with the outrageous charges, I checked my ZipRecruiter account to confirm I wasn't being charged when I wasn't getting any applicants. There was no indication of daily charges listed on my profile. I haven't hired anybody using Ziprecruiter. I was outraged when the exorbitant daily charges showed up on my bank statement. When I called to ask for a refund, they said that the fees where outlined on the website. I am sure they scam countless customers with these sneaky tactics. I called about the crazy charges and they said there was nothing they could do. When I mentioned that my next step would be to call The Better Business Bureau she put me on hold and asked a superior. Then she came back and offered to refund my last payment ($240) which was after my account was closed. Highway robbery! ZipRecruiter should be ashamed of their business practices. They claim to be an industry that helps small businesses when in fact they prey on them. DO NOT USE ZIPRECRUITER I wish I could post a "NO STAR" review!

      Dear potential Victim,

I have read most of the complaints of this horrible company and nothing matches what I got taken for. I expected a signed document as to fees, and services they provided. Nothing was given.
The first go round was for a minimum amount around $550. Got basically nothing. They suggested the top end service. I have a professional business and was desparate after looking for over a year. I should have known that when I did not receive a description of services, something was up. When the dust settled, they said that they do not do proposals and everything I wanted to now was on the site internet.......ya sure.

So the next stage lasted about a month. I received, so they say, over ninety applications. Out that I found one that was somewhat acceptable living 500 miles away. He said that he would re-locate, no problem. Via email I sent him some trial work to do............he lasted one day.

I was receiving applications from India, Africa, Japan, South America, Mexico, etc. I was receiving application from brick layers, carpenters, beauty shop personnel. Possibly ten that were in the job catigory I listed for, but not near of what I needed
I then talked to them and found out that they never interview the applicants!!!!! All they do is flood the market any where and every place with the request that I filled out. That little worthless endeavor cost me $5000.00.

Two days ago I received an email stating that they would give it another chance at a wonderful reduction of $25%. Another $3000.00 for the same worthless service. As the saying goes, I may be dumb, but not stupid. Today in the newspaper four full pages of there wonderful services!!!!!

Do you get the idea?? Unplug your computer, scan your phone, anything to keep from ever being in contact with this scum bag of a company that is very happy to take your money and nothing else!!!!!! I would have had better response by putting a sign on my back and walking down Main Street........

If I could choose zero stars I would. So months later, my card got hit for $500 but I didn't even know my listings were still active at this point as I had checked my ZipRecruiter account to confirm I wasn't being charged when I wasn't getting any applicants - and there was no indication of daily charges listed on my profile. When I called to ask for a refund, the service was terrible. I interacted with 5 separate people over the phone and via online chats and each person I came in contact with was extremely rude, got defensive and even hung up on me when I asked to speak to someone higher up that could help me. I believe "this chat is over" were the exact words used. They definitely seem trained to not give in as I am sure they receive countless calls like mine, confused about ridiculous charges. ZipRecruiter should be ashamed of themselves. They claim to be an industry that helps small businesses when in fact they prey on them. In the midst of a pandemic and a recession, getting robbed by a service like this is the last thing a small business needs. Additionally, I received very few applicants and nobody that was even relevant to the job I posted, however, they would be tagged as "GREAT MATCH" on my profile. Huge waste of time and money. Small Businesses be warned - DO NOT USE ZIPRECRUITER
