I recently got logged out of my Yahoo email account. Upon trying to get logged in, I realized an old email that I no longer have access to is connected. When I went to try and resolve this email and get logged back in, the only option was to pay for customer support in order to speak to someone about this to get logged back. This feels highly predatory as your only option is to pay to speak to someone or just lose the account entirely.

I am a Canadian that moved to ***** 10 years ago. Many years before that I made Yahoo email accounts, specifically ************************* emails. I have one for personal use and one for more professional use. These are *********************************** and *************************************** Recently my iPhone asked me to re-enter the passwords on these accounts, and when attempting to it told me the passwords were incorrect, and locked me out of them. These emails use each other as recovery accounts, but because they are both locked, I cannot do it that way. I also cannot use a phone number to receive a code when asked. Despite it having my Japanese phone number on record, and never having a problem before, no code arrives when I try to use it to reset it. I have contacted yahoo through direct message on X, and they told me they cannot do anything but phone the call center, but the call center charges people to use it as a 'premium service' which is unreasonable. I have many important things tied to these emails like a credit card, several services, family contacts and so on. This has left me in a loop hole of not being able to resolve the issue and Yahoo is trying to force me to pay for their service just to resolve a technical problem. I would appreciate any help you could provide for this. This problem started on March 12th 2025 and I have yet to be able to fix it. Thank you for your time.-****

Hello,My name is **** ******, and around 5am on 6/16/2025 my yahoo email stopped loading.I tried to sign in, but it keeps failing.I tried to reset my password and authenticate myself with my number, but it continues to loop me back to the login screen.I contacted the customer support line, which authenticated me via my phone number. However, he stated they could not authenticate me even though I provided the code they sent me. He then asked me to scan my driver's license and get my credit card ready to sell me their customer support subscription. I am simply trying to sign into my account, for which I know the password, and confirmed I am the user by receiving the two-factor authentication method. They seem to be forcing their "premium customer support" onto their customers. I don't know what else to do as I am locked out of my email account, which I have had since 2008. Please help me BBB!

I cannot access my email through yahoo mail. I have had this email since 2004. The recovery email and phone number are not accessible. I feel like Ive been an email customer for over 20 years, why am I being forced to pay a monthly subscription to get email access. All I want is to check my email. The email is ****************************************** I have a state issued license to verify my identity. I can answer security questions if they would allow me that option.

Locked out of my main email account with **********************. For no reason and I cant get it back without verification from a non existent email account. To fix this they want me to pay a subscription. This is a scam they have been locking people out with no solution other than to pay them which is extortion. I have a lot of accounts linked to that email from years of no issue use. Yahoo should be ashamed of itself.

Yahoo wants me to pay $13 per month for a premium subscription to access my email account even though I have my password. They want to send a code to a phone I no longer have to access my email account that *** had for over 10 years. I should not have to pay to have access to my email account.

I was logged out of my yahoo account on my iPhone randomly, and received an error message. When I type in my password, I am asked for a code from a recovery email, however this recovery email was deactivated years ago. When I call yahoo support, they wish to charge me for a premium service.I know my primary emails password, and the email address for my recovery and I am still prompted to pay for premium service.Without access to my account, which I have the password for, I may never be able to respond to important emails regarding work, and access personal records.I would just like to change my recovery email to my current secondary email, so I can continue to use this account I have had for 2 decades

AOL has is a fraud and a scam. I've always signed into my account with my child's name as my password without any problems and today when I tried to sign in, "AOL" gave me a password to call them and wanted me to pay in order to get my password or change it. This is a fraudulent attempt and a scam. These people need to be investigated. I spoke with, ***** and another *** who was trying very hard to get my credit card information continued asking as if I was being force to or else and I was. They locked me out of my account and refuse to help me without giving them my credit card information.
