Amp Research Running Boards purchased 1/31/25 5 year warranty claim filed and accepted 4/25/25 Was told ** have a warranty replacement board in 4 weeks. Its now almost 8 weeks and counting with this response from *** except were working hard to fulfill your warranty request. I asked why I can buy a new set of boards and have them in a few days? I ordered some repair parts from amp research/electric step on 11/08/2024 and havent received them as of 06/11/25. Thats over 7 months. They have informed me by email about moving warehouse. That was 2 months ago. I tried to communicate back with them with no response. This is a terrible way to run a business!Initial Complaint

I purchased Electric Steps from Amp Research11/28/2022 and May of 2024 one of the driver rear brackets broke.I have been back and forth on phone,emails,etc with all kind of run arounds.I am told the shut down the California warehouse and moved to ,******,or ***********This has to be one of the worst companies I have dealt with.I am supposed to have 5 year warranty.If they can't get my part to me to fix,I need a total refund to buy different brand of steps.They tell me the manager was fired,other agents fired,are the closing down?Please help.Initial Complaint

I purchased running boards that were missing the mounting brackets (*********** and *********** $85 each x 4 plus shipping about $325 with tax). Brand new out of the box just missing parts. So, I called AMP ************** and was told I could place a warranty claim if I had the original receipt (of which I don't since Knight Ram the dealership made the purchase when I bought the truck off the lot). So on friday I went ahead a purchsed the 4 brackets through the website electric step of which AMP directed me to do so. Stating they had them in stock and could ship out. Found out today that is not the case and electric step had placed an order with AMP Research. Bottom line AMP and Electric steip don't have the parts to ship me and AMP will have to custom make the mounting brackets since they carry no extra stock ever (per AMP). The best they can do is hope for a 2 to 4 weeks when they can take time out of selling new running boards to make the parts they forgot to send me.Initial Complaint

I purchased Amp Research steps from a certified retail installer less than 2 years ago. I have recently had issues with the control module failing and am within my warranty timeframe. I have reached out multiple times to Amp for resolution with no response. They auto respond with a 1-2 day timeframe to get back to you. It has been over 2 weeks with no response. I bought my steps not even a year ago, I was told they came with a 5 year warranty. Well over time the driver and passenger side step stopped retracting or extending, sometimes nothing at all. I've also had it extend while I was standing in the driver side door with it coming down on both of my shins causing one leg to bleed. When I contacted the dealer I purchased them from to file a claim under warranty they informed me that I would need to contact the AMP Research directly to file a claim on their site, well I have filed multiple claims with them, of course no response. From what I have seen on ******** they are supposed to have a fix in the controller, I'm thinking I need just the controller, How hard is that to contact the customer back. I guess I need to contact an attorney in reference for a class action for my injuries. STAY AWAY FROM AMP RESEARCH!! Their customer service is garbage!Initial Complaint

Reached out several times via email to file a warranty claim as directed by the customer service rep via phone. Received an automated response stating my claim has been initiated and I would be contacted within 1-2 business days. It's been 6 business days. There's not a way to check status of claim. I installed the powersteps a little less than 2 years ago. I conducted all of the troubleshooting steps as directed by the customer service rep I spoke to on the phone. I was then told to file a claim and the only way was through email. No response and/or call.
