      CSAA, also known as Triple A or California State Auto Association, provides reliable decent roadside assistance service (although the automated phone and texting system you have to endure before the technician arrives is a complete mess and full of misinformation and misdirection, resulting in frequent issues of your technician not being able to locate you). They also have friendly staffers in the most of their physical branches which sure beats dealing with the *** for issues that CSAA can handle, like car registration. But their corporate, accounting, phone customer service and online membership interface are beyond atrocious, and the agents are actually hostile - if you actually get one, after repeated disconnections - and if they actually say they can address your issue, rather than telling you it's not their department and directing you to yet another number. I would like to draw CSAA's attention to a particular membership customer service agent named **************** # ******, and suggest you listen to the recorded call at 8:15am on 8/8/2022 for an example of how your customers are treated. Well, FORMER customer. Wild horses could not make me do business with them again.

      I would add negative stars if I could. We purchased a **. I called to get the ** insured AND upgrade our road side service to include the **. We have/had all of our vehicles and home owners insurance through AAA & have auto pay on all. The agent I spoke with processed the ** insurance but unbeknownst to me did NOT process the towing. About a month later, our vehicle broke down on the highway, towing the ** and what do you know, AAA said we weren't covered for towing the **. We paid $1,000 out of pocket to tow and were met with a lack of regard or accountability for their error by AAA. I have repeatedly asked for a copy of the phone recording from when I requested the upgraded towing coverage and they will not provide unless I have a subpoena. My family including 2 young children were left on the highway, not fully out of the busy highway road for 4+ hours in 90+ degree heat with little to no cell service. 2 shifts of CHP had to sit behind our trailer to protect us from traffic. Apparently it is my fault for not knowing they didn't process the request for upgraded towing (when the agent at the time said they did). Horrible customer service, horrible treatment for long time customers. One of their agents even hung up on me when I repeatedly asked for a manager.

      Worst customer service experience of my life. I was in an accident in February and ****************** has never returned my phone calls or emails after multiple calls. The accident was not my fault.

      Worst company I ever did business with. 60 years auto coverage and over 10 years homeowners insurance. No claims. Received 60 day notice that homeowners policy is being cancelled. Called and left messages 3 times and never got a call back. Found another ins company and had to get California Fair Plan to cover the home in addition to new home owners policy. I then cancelled my auto policy with CSAA. I was later contacted by CSAA trying to get me to apply for an auto policy. What a joke. I was played the fool for 60 years, then dropped like a hot potato. Stay away from CSAA and go with a reputable company.

      I called for help the agent left me stranded for 4 plus hours bc she sent the driver to the wrong location 5 cities away. I have guest sitting at my home for the Holiday that is leaving. This is totally unacceptable. I am a veteran that served this country for 20yrs we have never ever experienced service like this in our lives from AAA. I have sat in the sun in the car for hours. I'm on hold and the other agent is saying it is going to take another hour and a half before someone get to me. My name is L Miles ****** contact me as I am also writing a letter of complaint to the corp office. I want to be compensated and a written letter of apology.

      AAA auto insurance is one of the worst auto insurance companies in the world. 1 star rating is even too high for this company. They just want to take your premium, but would do whatever it takes to reject your claims. Stay away from this company if you have other options.

      AAA Northern California has an extremely incompetent customer service and very unreliable agents..Primarily, AAA does things without the customer's authorization nor do they completely inform you of everything in terms of procedures..I have asked several times for them to stop Autopay not to mention it appears when you ask for this it throws everything off inasmuch I didn't ask for Auto pay in the first place. They put you on hold for long periods and do not return or just hang up altogether. Furthermore, perusal I have to call at least 3 times just to get some form of adequate customer service.. Lastly, despite making payments, having confirmation and approval codes their system still sends out emails stating I am behind...Unfortunately, my experience is definitely that they penalize you for their mistakes and pervasive incompotence..
