Why is this company allowed to post sale prices that are only for members only. I spent 40 minutes shopping only to find out at the register that none of the sale items I selected were on sale for nonmembers. If they only honored the sale price for white people they would be shut down immediately. Same principle they are discriminating against those of us who refuse to join their $30/year membership. ***.

Terrible customer service. They never answer no matter how long I hold and they don't call back when I choose save your place in line option. I have tried multiple times.

I purchased a "****** 30 ft. Retractable Test Leads" from Harbor Freight Tools here in *********, **. After bringing it home and using it, I found that the test leads did wind back up into the real! After attempting to return the item, I was told that a 20% restocking fee was required even though the product was defective! The cashier told me it should not require a restocking fee as it was defective; however, the store required that the fee was necessary! This is not an ethical practice and the business needs to change their policies!

I bought a icon tool box 4/23/25 and was told by the sales person it would come to the address I supply in two weeks. We'll it is 5/21/25 and I'm still waiting. Called customer service and they tell me it will be 5 t0 10 days after 6/3/25 till i receive it. Wouldn't give me the option to cancel order till 6/3/25 the address i listed is closing 6/13/25 so i my not be at that building. If I was told it would take 7 to 8 weeks to get this box i wouldn't have ordered it. At least I would have sent it to the building I'm getting moved too. I worked for *** and they are closing building in June. Beside having to move to another building i also have to deal with misleading delivery date for the box

Purchased Atlas Pole Saw 40v 10" on 06/07/2022. The tool is on clearance for a reason. The motor will fail within two to three years. No replacement parts available. This tool needs removed from the shelf no placed on Clearance. If you are aware the tool has issues pull it from the shelf. I purchase a lot of tool from Harbor Freight but this Pole saw Atlas 40v was not built to last.

Do not trust the in stock online indicator as I drove an hour round trip after item showed in stock (there when they opened) only to have them tell me the system must not have updated and they were not in stock. Drove another hour and a half to another location to *********** not trust items shown for sale without calling first. Daily special showed Predator, outdoor, power, equipment at 25% off. Once again, after an hour round trip drive they told me it was power tools even though the ad clearly stated equipment. The Predator water pump fit every one of the four word description. Needless to say I will now take my business elsewhere, but suggest calling them first if you are seeking a bigger ticket item. Straight up false advertising on this one!1 star only because they dont have an option for 0 stars.

I paid for a tool chest at Harbor Freight in ********** on Feb 24, 2025 ($139.30). It was entered as a pre-order (not currently in stock). I was given a receipt with order number. They told me I had to contact them they would NOT call me. So I revisited the store in person at least six (6) more times over the last three (3) weeks. I visited on Mar. 14, the clerk took my name and tried a look-up. My purchase was nowhere to be found in their system... In any way. This went on long time. When I explained I had a receipt and that I tried giving the order number to "***" on Monday the clerk only said that "***" had been a bit strange lately ?!? The clerk asked if my wife could look up the purchase on our credit card using her cell. I said no, we do not use our phone as such. At that point, I think they began to think we were lying. They told us UNLESS WE HAD A RECEIPT THERE WAS NO ORDER !!! They said we would have to bring in a receipt to show proof of purchase. They took my money and said they had NO RECORD, and we were not going to have the tool chest ! I told them we had the receipt but they did not believe me ! We left Harbor Freight feeling like we had done something wrong and they did not believe us. CREEPY !!! We went immediately home and returned to Harbor freight in 30 minutes (14 miles round trip) ... WITH THE RECEIPT ! The receipt was long, detailed and without a doubt PROVED our purchase (we had a receipt sent by email). THEY STILL COULD NOT FIND THE PURCHASE IN THEIR RECORDS and said they would have to look into it. A clerk took my receipt and made a copy in their office with the two-way mirror. Creepy ! Do they stand in that office peering out and their honest customers ??? Some Mikandra called us about an hour and a half later saying that they had to call corporate and have them check their records... and BEHOLD our purchase was genuine. NO ONE from Harbor Freight offered any APOLOGY AT ALL and they just said the item would get there someday.

I can see by these complaints / comments that I definitely "dodged a bullet." I received a notification from my credit monitoring company that I had a change on my report. It generically says an account was closed. So I sign in and it says my Harbor Frieght account was closed January 5th, 2025. My heart kind of hit my stomach because the first thing I thought was someone stole the card or something bad happened. I don't know at this point. So I grab my card and call the number. I enter the requested info in the automated system and it says my account is closed. At this point I am getting more worried and the automated system isn't helping because it won't just send me to customer service. Finally after several attempts I get it to connect me. A guy answers and asks me who I am and I tell him. He asks how can I help you? I state my account came up closed on my credit report and I didn't close it. He looks up my account and says yes, it's closed. Shaking my head I ask how? Why? The response I get is we closed it because of inactivity and your credit report changed. I said I've had it for about 6 months! So I didn't need anything yet! He says the agreement you agreed to says we can close your account at any time. I said does it also say you can just say F you and not tell the customer? Not send a letter? Email? Phone call? I have to find out through credit monitoring? He repeats the same BS about closing the account whenever they want. If this is policy that is a disgrace! This company from what I am seeing now is absolute garbage. I see why the prices are cheaper. It's garbage and they charge you to return defective items! I am so glad I never bought anything with my card.

Has sale items through a specific date. Doesn't honor those sales, and won't carry enough stock for demand. Wants you to drive 100 miles away to get the product, even if they may sell it before you get there. Also will not let you buy the item and have it delivered to the store, either on line or an in stor purchase. Terrible customer service, wonder why everyone sticks to the hig box stores..better tools anyway
