Harbor Freights sales policies can be frustrating due to unclear fine print and restrictive coupon exclusions. Many storewide discounts exclude popular items like jacks and tool storage, and membership requirements for ***************** deals add a paywall to savings. Advertising often lacks transparency, leading to surprises at checkout. Consistency across locations also varies, with some stores enforcing policies differently. Prices end up being not so great. I am taking my business elsewhere.

*******, poor construction. Do NOT buy this compressor. I purchased a 3 Gallon, 110 ********Free Light-Duty Hot Dog Air Compressor. Used this for light duty, tire inflation chores at home about 6 (six) times. Then this compressor stopped building air pressure. Motor still runs; just no air pressure. Came to discover that internal plumbing joints are breaking, and poorly made parts are falling apart. Unbelievably shoddy and cheap construction. HFT is good for a low cost wrench and hammer. Do NOT buy anything more sophisticated. To make matters worse, employee in the store laughed at stupid customer for buying this product without "extended warr" - they know customer will soon be sorry for trusting HFT.Finally, I decided to warn other consumers.

If I could give zero stars I would I bought a sump pump recommended by the sales associate said he has had the same pump in his basement for 7 years. Same sq footage of home so I bought the 1/2 hp with the floating shut off switch. I didnt get offered an extended warranty because i know i would have bought it. Right as the 90 days is up because i bought the pump in July now its November, the sump pump ***** up. I call the return center and ask hey tell oops you are out of your return timeframe you will have to buy another. This is a scam! I bought one bigger than I needed and it burnt up in my face. I had a sump pump before this that lasted ************************************************************* this economy

For months, I have been trying to get a refund of $113.66 for two defective hoses (that attached to a defective water pump) that I purchased right after hurricane *****!To date, Harbor Freight has failed to issue my refund and they have inexplicably devided my refund into two checks. They lost one check, had to reissue it and the second check was never even issued. To date I have received NO MONEY despite a dozen phone calls (full of empty promises and excuses) and my issuing six follow up emails. The company's representatives have lied to me numerous times while the payables department drags their feet (prpbably so the company can earn interest and report false profits by withholding my money and probably many other peoples in limbo for months).I am fed up with trying to pry my own money out of this greedy company's hands.I was promised a refund in 6-8 weeks. It is now over 10 weeks and there is still NO "check in the mail!"

Won't spend another dime in this store. Have Harbour Freight credit card that has never been paid late or over limit and honestly seldom use the **** thing and have had my credit limit decreased 3 times in past year for no reason . SYNCRONY BANK ***** by the way . You have lost another customer for this terrible business practice. Thank you and hope you go out of business soon.

I bought a pressure washer from harbor freight. Got to the job site and it wouldn't start. Took it back and exchanged it. Got to the job site with the second one, and again it wouldn't fire or start. I ended up renting one to get the job done and returned the second defective pressure washer. They charged ME a $70 restocking fee instead of holding the manufacturer responsible. Called corporate and they said no exceptions and would not correct the theft. That's what it is. THEFT!!!

Paid for a new item and received a possible open box or repackaged (by ****** I wish I could attach pics here. Contacted HF and never even got an acknowledgement. Can't drive all the way to their location to return that is why I had paid for shipping. The ****** I have learned is to avoid buying online from them as their customer service is not very responsive.

Sale prices are posted on Sunday. Rang up at regular price. Manager says sale starts on Monday. That is NOT what the price says. It gives an ending date but no starting date. Manager still would not honor the posted price. I have never had any store not honor a posted price. Oh well, Harbor Freight wont.

Harbor Freight charges a 20% Restocking Fee even if the item you return is defective. I returned a defective Plate Compactor that failed the first hour of use. The wheels fell off and the engine quit running. I did not want a "replacement" after reviewing comments from other buyers of this item, I just wanted a refund. Even though it was their product that was defective, they still charged me $126 against a $630 purchase for "restocking" a defective item? On top of that, they also did not refund the full taxes I paid to the State - they took another 20% off that! Contacting their *********** was a waste of time. They say these items are "subject to a restocking fee"; the definition of "subject to" means "possibly affected by" - not "mandatory". Harbor Freight needs to held accountable to Truth In Advertising. They need to be HONEST with their customers and state that this "20% Restocking Fee" is MANDATORY for ALL returns, regardless if it is their defect or not - but then I guess that would dry up their business fast, as so it should.

Online price for a floor **** 90 bucks, in store price 139 bucks. I show to store manager online, he say oh you have to click on it, so I do and price changes to 139 bucks.Bait and switch? Rude manager with a drink in his hand dealing with customers? Not honoring online price!
