This toll company continues ues to send me tolls from a plate/vehicle I sold 3 years ago. The dmv confirmed the vehicle/plate is not registered in my name but this toll company states it is. They will not call the ** dmv to verify. They are putting it on me to prove through dealership a financial statements. I refused to be burdened with their poor business model and they threatened my credit. I think they are trying to scam the public by issuing mass requests to plates that have association to old accounts. I would bet this company uses the same information source as *******. I have received the same Go-Pass bills on the same vehicle using ******* tolls.

I am rejecting this response because: My wife was never listed as an owner on the vehicle so you stating the truck is listed in her name is false. I personally checked with the Anoka county police department and the plate is not in my name. Again false information. I went through this exact issue with the toll system in *******. This problem is internal to the information transfer within your organization. I am not calling, emailing, and chasing bank records on a vehicle I traded at a reputable dealership nearly 4 years ago.

I am rejecting this response because:

While I appreciate the closure of this false claim by your company it shows absolute proof of your poor business structure. Your employees provided false information of responsibility and vehicle ownership. Instead of using your paid staff to overcome your false billing process you place the responsibility on innocent individuals with threats of fines and credit manipulation. I feel compensation is in order for the time my wife and I had to take to show proof in your failing business model. How many innocent people pay these fraudulent fees out of fear and retaliation? I feel compensation of $250 dollars would cover the time and trouble associated to resolution of your false accusations and monetary demands.

    Sincerely,

I just received in the mail a collection notice from ********** ********************************** LLC on behalf of Northwest Parkway for $53.20. The problem is, I never received the initial bill for the opportunity to pay it before they sent it to collections, so therefore a $6.00 bill or whatever it was originally for is now over $50.00. Also, I never have driven on the Northern Parkway toll road. I would like the original bill sent to me with the photo of the toll and it taken out of collections, and also given the opportunity to pay the bill if it was my vehicle. By the looks of things I am not the only one this has happened too and they should be held accountable.

Received no notification of original bill. Received bill with $50 late fees added to two $1.60 tolls and threat of being sent to collections. This company should be held accountable for their deceptive and dishonest practices.

I have received a debt collection letter stating I owe them $52 which Is absolutely unacceptable from there part trying to get me to pay that amount of money for a toll bill that I never received and then going into collections for that amount they are stating its the second notice when its the 1st time I have received anything from them I believe they are scamming people into paying far more for using that road than what is really worth which is $4.80 of a bill that I never received from them! Absolutely a scam from there part

I received a collection notice from Linebarger, Goggan, and ***** stating I owe $52.05 as of March 2023 for a license plate I havent had in years. Upon calling them to determine the legitimacy of this notice, they informed me that it was a toll from September of 2019. I informed them that I have never received such a bill and asked them to provide proof that this is a legitimate notice and not a scam. They responded that they were unable to. I do not believe that this is a legitimate toll and would like them to remove my information from their records and not to contact me further. If this were in any way legitimate they would have no problem providing documentation to prove that it is.

I received a bill for $53.20 from a collection agency which is pretending to be a law firm under the name of "********** ********************************** LLP". When I contacted Northwest parkway I was told this was for $6.60 in toll usage. Northwest parkway told me over the phone they do not have any staff available with the ability to remove the $46.60 in late fees added to the original bill/bills which were never received in the mail. Northwest parkway confirmed they have no proof of delivery records for the original bills that were supposedly sent. Northwest parkway told me I would need to contact their collection agency which pretends to be a lawfirm("********** ********************************** LLP") to have the late fees removed. Their collection agency("********** ********************************** LLP") is severely understaffed and has unreasonably long hold times which is making it difficult to resolve this issue as they are asking for additional information/authorizations to discuss this account which would require multiple callbacks.Plate number: CO ANCW92 Northwest parkway account number: ********** ************ account number vehicle is registered to: ********

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/25/2023

    Complaint: 19596775

I am rejecting this response because:

Clearly NWP is deliberately misreading my complaint in which I clearly stated the following: "Northwest parkway confirmed they have no proof of delivery records for the original bills that were supposedly sent."

In their response they state that: "In review of the customers complaint, ******************** claims to have never received any of the bills and wants proof they were sent."

Clearly I was asking for proof of DELIVERY, I am not asking for proof they were sent which is irrelevant here, I am asking for proof they were DELIVERED which is very different.

A scan at some **** sorting center is not a DELIVERY confirmation.

The evergreen **** regularly loses/misdelivers mail/packages and lies about it due to severe staffing shortages(when I have contacted the post office myself they confirmed delivery failures are common due to severe staffing shortages and that I should request anyone sending something to my evergreen address to blacklist **** as a delivery method as the evergreen **** does not have sufficient staff to reliably deliver mail/packages), this a longstanding and widely documented issue that has been going on for a number of years, see:

    *******************************************************************************

    ********************************************************************************************************************

    **************************************************************************************************************************************************

    ***********************************************************************************************************

    *******************************************************************************************************************************

    *****************************************************************************************************************

The claim by NWP that "Per further research, ******************** did not add license plate, *********, to his *********** account until 11/2022." is also clearly inaccurate as my documentation shows that the car was registered to my *********** account no later than 10/******** attached pdf).

By NWP's own admission they were aware that the plate was registered to an *********** account by 11/2022 and made no effort to attempt to use that information to contact the account holder to deliver a bill and instead decided they would prefer to continue to charge more unjustified late fees.

I have offered to pay the correct amount, $6.60, a failure on the part of NWP to successfully DELIVER a bill to the registered address from my understanding should be a dispute between NWP and their delivery service, charging fees of over 400% due to NWP choosing to use a delivery service(****) that is widely reported to be extremely unreliable for my area is clearly not justified.

If I were to pay a clearly unjustified fee of over 400% due to NWP's failure to use a reliable delivery service this would only encourage these sort of unethical billing practices.

    Sincerely,

    ***************************

I went up and down a few sections of toll road on different occasions within a few weeks. I received the bill for the first one, went to the online portal, and was given the option to pay all of the bills at once. So I did. I then received another bill, which I ignored, since I had already paid all of them. Skip ahead to today where I received yet another bill. It says I owe $50 in late fees for $6 in tolls. Turns out, there is an entirely different payment service for random stretches of toll road. I paid $36 to "***********," but had $6 in tolls from "Go-Pass." These were NOT different roads - it's the same toll road that I paid a toll to "***********" for. "Go-Pass" charged me going the other direction on a random stretch of the same road. This is obviously designed to make it easy to miss paying one or the other so they can charge absurd late fees. I guess I'll take the long way round from now on, because this is nothing less than a scam.

I spoke with a representative today about receiving a collection notice for unpaid tolls that I never received a bill for to pay. Some of the tolls date back to 2019 and I was very surprised I did not receive any *********** for these tolls. They had my address on file and it was correct but I explained to them I never received a bill. The representative explained they had sent mail, even charged me for the stamps, and I had never received any mail. the representative said they could only reduce the late fees by 80%. I don't believe I should have to pay any late fees since the only notice I received was from a debt collector for over $97. I explained to the rep I would pay for the tolls but not the late fees. She said there was nothing they could do. I will not handle this with the debt collector. The resolution I would like is to pay for the tolls and not the late fees.

I was sent a collections letter from ********** ********************************** LLP in regards to a toll debt from Northwest Parkway for the amount of $541.80. I do not currently have a balance with Northwest Parkway not only that but the license plate referenced in the letter does not belong to me. NW Parkway is claiming that I owe them for 5 trips from over 9 months ago. They DID NOT send my company a bill for actual trips of my vehicles. They sent me only 1 bill for 1 trip for $6.60 that was legitimate last month. Then when I called to pay the bill they claimed there were 5 more trips from 9 months ago that were late and not paid...offering no proof that these trips were my vehicles. They send out bills to me in previous years that are not correct...months late and no evidence the vehicle belongs to me. They extorted $35 from me with threats of late fees and collections for trips that they have no evidence proving the vehicle was mine. I want the $35 back and whoever is managing this company poorly should be fired. All they have to do is provide video or picture evidence of the vehicle to confirm. They should take care of this with ************ and stop harassing me for money. I pay my ************ bill on time and never have any late payments. This tollroad is a total money scam because every one who has been scammed will not drive on the road anymore. They are desperate for money and fabricate bills to companies to get paid for cars that have no license plate or temp plates. This kind of fraud needs to be investigated by the *****************. The attached picture is of the ONLY bill that I have gotten from NW parkway in the past 12 months. Yet they still claim they sent me bills for trips from 9 months ago. This is a lie. They never sent the bills. I would have gotten them. I want a $35 refund and the ***************** to investigate them for customer theft, billing fraud.
