    The ** for all of these large waste collectors is to buy out the small waste collection companies then reduce services while increasing rates. I recently moved out of the service area for Waste Connections and needed to cancel service. I was so happy to cancel due to what I interpret as bullying their customer. As a parting shot, they are charging me a $40 cancellation fee, even though i have been a consistent (and obedient) customer for years. They used to take occasional extra trash bags that didn't fit into the trash cans. They sent a notice that they won't do that any longer. When the weather is bad, they don't pick up but won't credit any money for no pickup. They won't pick up bundled tree limbs any longer. Recently they began using the arm that grabs the trash can rather than a person emptying the can into the truck. Last pick up both my cans were on the curb but one was positioned slightly behind the other. Rather than get his lazy rear out of the truck he just didn't empty the second can. I called to complain and they said they would charge me to come out and empty the can because it wasn't positioned correctly. They had just switched to the new method of picking up trash and I wasn't even aware. If you can, choose a small collection company. All the large companies are just there to s**** us. A while back I called to complain. A manager got on the line and said that if I didn't stop complaining they were going to cancel my service. Holy cow! They must have enough business that if they get a complaint, rather than working to improve they just fire the customer. Ridiculous!! Happy I'm leaving!

    This company is terrible with customer service. The phone **** have always been dismissive, offer no solutions, tell me they can't help me in ways that they have in the past, and I was outright lied to today (unless the agent just doesn't understand their computer system). I will admit my fault where it's due, as I did not get my recycling out at the right time. I asked the driver to swing back by but unfortunately they did not (but the drivers have helped in other ways before, so I have no beef with them). However, when I have called in, the agents offer no solutions at all. I even offered to pay for a missed pick up, and would accept any fees. "We don't do that, and there are no trucks in your area." First, they have done it in the past when we came back from vacation before. Also, I have a photo of one of their vehicles, in my area, one mile away from my house. When I confronted the agent about that, they just shrugged it off. If this company did not have a monopoly with our HOA, I would dump them faster than the garbage they pick up.

    Our service was less than adequate in 2024 due to drivers not picking up, sometimes even after we called to report we had been missed. We have been a customer for somewhere around 15 years, and have continually hung in there because trash companies are difficult anyway. This month I received my annual bill with a 27% increase--with no explanation and no warning. When I called them, they refused to negotiate, so I got three bids form other companies and asked if they would match. They denied, so I went with another company and canceled my service after being an excellent customer (and I even do my own customer service!) and pays on time. I would give less than one star, if it let me. Boy I wish I had so much success that I didn't need to retain customers. DO NOT USE *********************** IF YOU CAN AVOID IT.

    Received a bill from them for the first time ever (been at the same address for 25 years and trash is paid through the ***** They say I had "an extra." I called to ask what the bill was for and they told me I had an extra container or bag out in addition to my usual trash can. I told them I did not (how much trash can one person generate in a week???). And the **** *****, says, well, we'll check the camera footage on our truck and call you back. She actually did call back the same day (which is good) but says they couldn't pull footage from the truck because it was so long ago (I just received the bill 2 days ago) so "as a courtesy" she'll waive the fee. Then she proceeds to say that their drivers are very accurate about who they charge for what, so next time I have extra garbage I will be charged. --Basically, she called me a liar--after I sat on hold for ************************************** how friendly their customer service agents are and how much they value their customers. THAT'S WHAT THEY THINK CUSTOMER SERVICE IS?????

    They did not pick up my trash 2 times and will not credit my account for their mistake. Went to cancel service today and was told there is a cancellation fee. I was never advised of this when starting with this company. They are not picking up trash then not giving credits for the weeks not picked up. now wanting a cancellation fee. THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF. beware if you hire them.

    Waste Connections is by far the worst waste company i've ever dealt with, they continually miss pickups and don't communicate with us when they promise to do so. They absolutely will not provide ANY customer service when there is an issue. Nothing. The have missed two straight months of recycle pickups. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!! USE SOMEBODY ELSE

    Trash Truck broke two big branches that were hanging over sidewalk. Company said it was my responsibility to trim my tree and there was nothing they can do. Now I need to hire a tree service to trim my tree. Unbelievable. I have video of the incident from my blink camera. What makes it worse is it was my side yard. My trash is in the front. What also makes it bad is they told me they deal with this all of the time. Seriously?! So you just ram your garbage trucks into peoples trees and you blame the people stating "Our trucks are too big so there is nothing we can do" Total GARBAGE!! I'm going to apply to be a garbage man and just drive trucks through the neighborhood and play garbage truck tree derby and not have any consequences.

    Have cancelled service multiple times. Keep getting emails with invoices and requests to call them. When I do, if I get through, they take down my request (saying it has to go to a specific person who is not in the office at the time), and nothing happens. Then I get billed again. I've been billed 5 times since disconnecting service, totaling $630.

    I've been with this company as a customer since they came to the ****** area years ago. They have always picked up multiple trash cans during our weekly service. Two weeks ago they began picking up only one trash can. The first week I filed a complaint online via their website that thye only picked up one of two cans and no action was taken by the company other than an auto-response that my complaint was received.Week two they only pick up one of my two cans again. I called customer service and the agent informed me they only pick up one can now. She said they were getting fined by the landfill for too much garbage so only picking up one can per house. I said that was news to me and nobody ever communicated this change in their service level to us and would they get the can they have missed for two weeks please? Long story short, she bumped me to the supervisor who said the same deal, only pick up one can (despite picking up multiple cans for years). She would not admit a change in service level nor would they come pick up the can they missed for two weeks, but it is what it is. They only pick up one can now instead of multiple and they never communicated this change in service to this customer. Of course the service price did not drop. I'll manage with the one can going forward, but they should have communicated this change in service level to their customers.

    If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company will not pick up my recycling, doesn't answer their phone or return calls, doesn't respond to online form for missed service. Has continually raised their rates every billing period. Sends out notice that they will only pick-up trash in their cans, no bags, boxes or anything else. I was stuck with WCC when Pro Disposal sold out to them several years ago, wasn't my choice. I'm paid through August, so only two months through our 4 month billing period. I am leaving them anyway, maybe Republic will be better. For your own sake do not use this disreputable company. 1.18/5 stars should tell the story!
