I purchased my home home late 2024. Since the date of purchase, my family and I have experienced countless issues with the home. The most concerning of these is the structural integrity of the home. There are severe, lengthening, and widening cracks in the home. The driveway and patio have lifted and shifted so badly that our doors are failing to latch. I have reached out countless times to warranty personnel and they provide pathetic excuses and give us the runaround. These structural issues are just the beginning of the laundry list of issues. The Richmond team and warranty department at the Trails at *********** have been unprofessional and neglectful since the day after we closed. They only care about making a sale, and building homes as quickly as they can. They do not care about the families moving into these homes.

I would select negative stars but the option is not available. Do not purchase a home from this company, they are horrible. I purchased my home in 2023 and I have foundation problems. There is also poor craftsmanship and forget about warranty items being fixed. They string you along until you are forced to deal with clowns that are responsible for fixing warranty items that are considered year 2. They try to force you into a litagation process. The only resolution to my issues is to hire someone to demolish this house and build it from scratch the correctly.

I am a recent buyer in the ***************** community (**************, **) with Richmond American Homes. The experience after closing has been highly unsatisfactory. The builder rushes the first walk-through just days before closing, leaving insufficient time to catch many issues. After move-in, numerous defects surfaced ranging from damaged plank flooring to foundation cracks.Despite promptly submitting service requests, response times have been extremely poor. The service center repeatedly acknowledges issues but then provides little to no follow-up for weeks, sometimes longer. Even simple repairs remain unresolved after extended periods. Their customer service post-sale has proven unresponsive at best.Prospective buyers should be fully aware that maintenance and warranty issues may take an unreasonably long time to address, if they are addressed at all.

Builds are behind schedule and may cost you extra money! My build was delayed and I was forced to stay in a hotel as my lease had expired after my move in promise date, leaving me out 3 weeks of hotel fees. Richmond refused to assist with the cost. After finally closing, it was apparent that they had used the absolute cheapest materials installed in the quickest manor possible... Fit and finish was terrible and several functional defects were observed. Don't worry they said, these will be addressed within 30 days of move in!6 months later, the defects remain and there is no resolution in sight. They drag their feet at every turn and assign incompetent supervisors to "help"These clowns are straight up scammers and do not deserve your business

Looks beautiful but the craftsmanship is horrible. They take zero pride in their homes and its extremely difficult to get them back in to fix what should have been fixed prior to closing. I wasnt happy at my inspection and was told they would not push out the closing date and if. Tried to get out of the contract I could lose up to $18k. I would highly recommend hiring an independent inspector to document all the things that need to be fixed and to have an attorney go over the contract.

RICHMOND HOMES and **** ******** will STEAL YOUR MONEY !!!! In all of my years dealing with people , these people are by far the worst ever !! My wife, our realtor and I went to look at a new build in **************** in ***************. We found one that we thought might work for us. **** was ver pushy and told us that if we wanted to secure the home we would have to get her ******** down in ******* MONEY. We called the bank and had them transfer the money because it was late on a Wednesday afternoon. We were flooded with emails and forms to sign on "DOC u SIGN" .. Do not sign documents on "DOC u SIGN" on your phone or iPad. Confused we met with **** and the loan processor to get the documents on paper. That night we went over the paperwork and decided that this home would not work for us. We contacted **** to let her know we did not want to proceed, she said that our money would not be refunded because we "qualified" for the loan. REALLY ? we were only 3 days in to this and I'M approved ?**** IS A LYING THIEF !!! DO NOT BUY FROM RICHMOND HOMES !!! They wanted me to take out a 250k hello loan for the down payment plus ******* for their mortgage. I would have had ******* in loan payments to pay back on a fixed income !! These people DON'T CARE !!RADA LIES she told us on more than one occasion that the money was refundable minus a ****** inconvience fee !! Another lie DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM **** ******** !!!!THESE PEOPLE DON"T DESERVE 1 STAR

My house built by Richmond American Homes did not pass the energy inspection . The energy inspection was never completed prior to closing. The roof had issues at 3 years old and the shady subcontractor threatened to void the roof warranty. I have gone through the ****************** Board Complaint process and the house still has issues. The companys representatives promise fixes that they had me agree to, but dont complete. I have 2 taped incidents of the customer service representative from ******************************************* and managers from 2 different subcontractors negotiating repairs with me from my home security cameras. One of the repairs is in writing on multiple work orders and it was never completed.

We purchased/built a home from Richmond American homes in Cotati California and it has been 3 years now. I have to say this has been the worst building company i have ever heard of. From the beginning they had poor supervision over the entire development. But my review today is for the poor quality of the warranty work. They send cheap labor out that makes more mistakes than the orignal problem. They did not cut the water before working on the plumbing and the pipe burst. Now we have a hole in our first story above our grand piano. Its Sunday now and the emergency line people have no urgency and they do not care about our problem. ***** the home warrenty manager is aware of all the mistakes made during this week and now is on VACATION not answering his phone, The reason we are working with ***** is because the original supervisor **** was rude for months to my wife dismissing the orignal problem as "normal home maintenance".Long story short do not buy a new home from Richmond American hoping the warranty will give you some peace of mind. They have been nothing but terrible from the start of the building and an absolute nightmare to deal with on warranty requests.
