    My nonprofit organization has been using this app for several years now to assist several families in Africa who are in need of support and assistance. This past weekend, a decision was made to disable my account without any notice or explanation. They also denied us the possibility of an appeal. We spoke with a customer service rep as well as a supervisor about the issue. They repeated the line, no explanation can be given to maintain the integrity of our security. Im still scratching my head trying to figure out what that means. We are a *************** nonprofit organization doing the simple work of providing food, shelter, medical attention and educational opportunities that would otherwise be made unavailable to the individuals we assist! WorldRemit disrupted our mission this weekend by arbitrarily disabling our account without any notice or explanation. Seems like pretty lame, inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. We feel that we should have at least been given the opportunity to address whatever concerns and answer any questions that WorldRemit would have had concerning our organizations work and mission. Weve recommended WorldRemit to others along the way. We will make it part of our mission moving forward to discourage our followers, colleagues and partners from using WorldRemit!

    To say I am disappointed in World Remit is an understatement. I have been sending money through this company for about 5 years and about 3-4 weeks ago, I sent some money but made a mistake while typing the last name of the recipient. The recipient was told at his bank that he could not get the funds and I created a case via the app to fix the last name(Remove one letter). Since then, I have called severally only to be told their partner has to release the funds.I went on and asked for the transaction to be cancelled and my refund processed. Nothing has changed and I feel very bitter at this point.If the money I sent no matter how little it was was to save the life of a dying patient in the country it was sent to, world remit's inability to co-ordinate a simple name change could have lead to the death or incapacitation of an individual.I am very very disappointed in this company and I regret not using ************* or other reputable fintech companies to do this.I will be reporting them to the BBB here in ***************** and again, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WORLD REMIT!

    They are inconsistent. Im worried that my recipient will not get the money. The agents have different explanations and no guarantee.

    Transfer was taking too long, I requested for a cancellation but it was denied. I was told theres a technical issue on transfering. I tried Xoom.com the money was transferred smoothly

    I was scammed $100 by world remit to somebody in *****. *** reached out and Im not getting anywhere nobody answers the phone. Do not use WorldRemit.

    So a week ago I made a transaction with WorldRemit for the first time. I used the gcash service as i wanted the money to be sent instantly. I received a confirmation also an email stating the money will be with the recipient within minutes. 30 mins pass, 2 hrs passed , 8 hrs passed nothing happened. And for those hours Ive been trying to call their 24/7 customer support which did not accept calls. It keeps telling me to see their Faqs which do not answer any of my concerns. So because of this long delay I decided to cancel the transaction as I saw it was an available option. I needed the money to get delivered so I used a different company that did it instantly. Whithin minutes of cancellation I was emailed that transaction can not be cancelled as it is already in process. But its not paid yet to the recipient! I called their customer service which was finally accepting calls after 8 or so hours and talked them about cancelling it and I was given the assurance. 2 hours later they still completed the transacrion and send the money to the recipient. Under their terms and conditon it says you can cancel a transaction as long as the money was not yet paid to the recipient. I called again their customer service promising me they will get the money back from the recipient and that i will get updated within 24 hrs, update never came. I emailed them they kept saying the same line that they cannot cancel if its already in process, but its been in process for long hours when it is supposed to be instant. And i was told that theres delay because of their system outages -same repond to the review below. If your system fails it is not your customers fault! approved their request of cancellation if you failed to deliver the kind of service you claimed World Remit! Youre scam. You say you cannot cancel a transaction in process then why put it as an option. Now I filed a dispute,my bank is working to get my money back. I have evidences of their failed services.

    WorldRemit.com is a complete scam...Here's the email received 5 minutes after the transaction...It's a nightmare!We're sorry to inform you that we've made the decision to cancel your transaction and close your account.This means that we've cancelled your payment. In the majority of cases, it should appear in your account within 2-3 working days but it can take **** days depending on your bank/card issuer....
