On November 16,2023 I left two shoes Cobblers Plus for an orthopedic lift to be put on the sole. I have done business with them before and was very satisfied. I was told the shoes would be ready in 7 to 9 days., I called late in Dec. because I had not heard anything. I was told they were being finished as we spoke. I did not believe him. Shortly before Dec. 25, 2023 when I called the phone number no longer worked. Finally I drove by the business and there was a note saying they were moving to new facilities. On their website they had a drop off for shoes at 13918 /e Mississippi Ave. ste. 458, Aurora. So I sent a letter asking for the shoes to be returned, even unfinished. Would appreciate the money refunded, but mainly I need the shoes. They are worth over $200. No response.

Much like many of the other complaints and reviews (Google, Yelp, et al), our boots and money were stolen from the company. I dropped off three pairs of boots on 11/29/23 and was told to pay in advance. They said it would be two to three weeks until they were ready. I called three weeks later (12/20), and they said they needed another week. I called the next week and multiple times after, and the phone line was down. I went to the store and they had a sign on the door that said they were moving locations. Over the last two months, I have called hundreds of times on all three of their listed lines, and none of them work. As of a few days ago, I found out their website has sold and their business is listed as "Permanently Closed" on Google. I (and I'm sure everyone else) would like their money and shoes back, but there is no way to contact the business or business owner. I have had to contact my credit card company to get refunded (still in investigation and pending phase), but I would still like our three pairs of boots back.

I dropped three pair of boots to be resoled and prepaid early Dec. I received word that they were ready to be picked up on 12.23, I told them I’d be by after the holidays to retrieve them and was told that was fine, call beforehand as they may have moved. That’s the last I heard from them. I stopped by on 1.3, I have messaged several times, called & sent a latter via USPS, no response. Now I am out three pair of boots worth $1000 which hold sentimental value, and prepaid $310 for services. Their listing says they are permanently closed. Can you help? I just want my boots back.

I left an expensive Ferragamo handbag for repair and paid repair and shipping postage back to me at the time. I was told after Xmas and in January started calling. Have never been able to reach them and store is now closed. All I want is the handbag. It was left to me and is a vintage piece.

It was a light beige structured leather bag about 14" x 16" size highly polished leather.

Dropped off my wife's Ugg boots for sole repair November 2023. Store closing effective December 2023, with no store communication with customers as to their closing. I was required to pay $65.00 up front to the owner (receipt ticket #8911), with a 4-5 week estimation of repairs.

Store owner knew he was being evicted from his location and knowingly stole my money and kept my wife's boots, with NO customer communication. At this point, I just want the boots returned to me.

At the beginning of December 2023, I dropped off a pair of Manolo Blahnik suede pumps, worth well over $400, to be re-soled and cleaned. They are a gift for a friend who lives abroad, and I needed them by the last week of December in order to give them to her while she was stateside for the holidays. I went in to pick them up on December 27, and to my horror, I found that the Cobblers Plus building had been vacated and abandoned. A neighbor said they cleared out in a hurry that morning, taking everything with them. It has been two months since then, and I still have not been able to get ahold of them (phone lines disconnected, instagram account made private). I either need $500 in compensation for the shoes and what I paid them, or $150 and my fixed shoes (which includes the amount it will cost to ship them to her). This experience has been horrible, and I warn anyone who tries to use their services.

I dropped off one shoe to be repaired in October 2023. They said it would take a few weeks. About 6 weeks later I called to see if it was ready. It wasn't. They said it would be ready that Saturday. I went to pick it up that Saturday and it wasn't ready. In about another week they called to say it was ready. When I went to pick it up a little more than a week later, the business had completely disappeared. A sign on the door said they had moved and to check their web site for more information. There was no information on their web site. Their phone is disconnected. Several others on Yelp and ****** reported the same story Replacement boots will cost $160 + $30 for the inserts. I paid $40 in advance for the repair.

This company had three pairs of my shoes totaling over $4000. They had my shoes for over two years. I finally got one pair back. Now they have two pairs and they closed their business and have provided no way to contact and get my shoes.

I dropped my boots off at the end of November 2023. I pre-paid to have the soles refurbished and leather cleaned ($75) . They were promised back to me on 12/5. I went to pick them up in late December and there was a sign on the store at *************** indicating they had moved. I called the number on the business card and the phone was disconnected. For the past month, this is what the website says We are in the process of relocating to a larger facility and will have our new address posted asap.At the moment our phones are in the process of transferring over so they may still be down.We have a temporary PO Box set up for mail in orders at:******************************************************************************************** For all local drop of repairs we will be up and running shortly and if you are picking up any items we will be calling you shortly to deliver or mail out your items.I continue to not have my boots which I have already invested the same amount I paid for the boots originally. I have tried to locate an alternate means of contacting them and there is no email. I filled out the contact form on their website. No reply. I am not willing to go to the new address to find them closed. Further, note that when I went to pick up my boots in December, I checked their ****** page to make sure they were open. It said they were open and there was no message indicating they had moved.

I sent a pair of boots to this business in October. They refused to let me know they even had the boots until I complained. Once I did they lied and said they'd shop them out in a few days. They didn't ship them out until I complained again. Then when I finally got the boots(3 months later) they had completely ruined them. I think purposefully. They're not wearable and it's going to cost a lot to have them fixed. The company is refusing to give me a refund, or explain why they ruined them. All I can get is then pretending they can't get in touch with me, which is a lie. This place should not be allowed to do this.
