The date is January 29th 2025 I have my receipts and verification that I paid $385 to Park It Right ************* put a boot on my car, l paided the $385 to have the boot removed. I followed the instructions they provided me with including a code. When the lock did not release I tried contacting them by phone, they direct you to a Live chat. In the live chat I tried explaining that the lock would not release. The person was very unprofessional responding " Cuz youre not doing it right". I then tried to explain to him that I paid my fees and followed the instructions, he then said "Stop leaving the chat room" "STOP""stop leaving the chat" "STOP" then proceeded to boot me out of the chat. When I tried to open the chat after putting my information in they continued to boot me out of the live chat. I finally had my husband enter his name and email and the live agent responded with the instructions we have already followed. He then replied saying " well then you're not doing it right because that's the code" after I responded by saying there must be a malfunction because it is not releasing. He sent me an email to show video proof that it was that it was not releasing. I have yet to hear from them and They have possession of my property and I already paid. Still waiting for this boot and some assistance. ********, unprofessional company

This is exactly why we don't participate in BBB false claims.  This violator paid for the wrong release due to their error in the shopping cart so they got the wrong code.  Their vehicle was released the same day they entered the code.  BBB is a joke allowing people to trash businesses with lies and false information.  We will not answer another complaint from BBB.

I paid for a boot to be removed off my sons vehicle with the specific declaration that I would get $150 deposit back within 30 days of the boot being returned. The boot was returned the same day which was acknowledged by Park It Right because they sent me an email saying they tried to return my deposit but couldnt so they were going to mail me a check. I have NOT received any money AND they will not respond to my emails. The only form of contact with them is email.

This is a predatory company hired by my HOA to boot vehicles for the most ridiculous parking rules. Should your tire be directly on the yellow line and not impeding the spot next to it they will still boot you and it will cost $385 to get it off. This is past the Colorado implemented cap of $165. They are able to work around this legal loophole by immobilizing the suspension on the vehicle and not the actual wheel itself so therefore they are preying on residents using this loophole without repercussions, even if no infraction was actually made. They do not have a customer service number to reach an actual human either

    Dear BBB,

I hope this message finds you well. We are Park It Right
Staff and writing on behalf of Park It Right, Inc. to inform you of our
decision to terminate our participation in the Better Business Bureau (BBB)
    business program, effective immediately.

Park It Right has been a participant in the BBB program for
the past eight years. During this time, we have consistently provided detailed
and comprehensive evidence in response to every complaint filed against our
company. Unfortunately, we have found that the program frequently rewards
unsubstantiated claims and does not adequately acknowledge the extensive proof
    we provide.

Over the years, our company has received only five
legitimate complaints, all of which occurred in our early stages of operation.
The majority of complaints we receive are from individuals who failed to adhere
to the parking rules on private properties. Unlike towing services, our
immobilization (booting) services leave the vehicle in place, clearly
indicating the violation. To ensure the validity of our enforcement actions, we
take over 20 photographs per incident, documenting every detail.

The primary reason for the complaints against our company is
the embarrassment violators feel when their vehicles are immobilized. Common
excuses such as missed permits, missing signage, lack of warning, or brief
parking durations are often cited to deflect responsibility from their actions.
Despite our thorough documentation and irrefutable proof, our company has been
unfairly rated with an "F" by the BBB.

We have also been informed that our rating could be improved
to an "A+" if we paid a monthly fee. However, we believe in
maintaining our integrity and do not wish to participate in a program that
undermines the principles of fairness and accountability.

As a company dedicated to enforcing parking regulations and
ensuring compliance, we stand by our actions and the evidence we provide. We
will no longer allocate our resources to respond to unfounded complaints
    through the BBB platform.

We appreciate the opportunity to have participated in the
program, but it has become clear that it no longer aligns with our values or
    serves our best interests.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is a response to the BBB and not to me.  Of course this predatory company would like to remove themselves from receiving further complaints from the community, it is not just BBB where Park it Right is rated F, and that embarrasses them.  They have terrible reviews on multiple platforms and it is because they have found a legal loophole in which to exploit residents. I can continue to escalate  this on my end, and I intend to a I was illegally booted and I will not stand for it.

The only response has already been given.  We don't recognize the slanderous nature of the BBB complaint format.  We are in Parking Enforcement Legally Immobilizing Vehicles Per Contract in Accordance with the PRIVATE PROPERTY PARKING RULES.  It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to follow all courtesies and rules when entering a private property.

I am rejecting this response because:

It's not slander if it's true! Your reviews across multiple platforms has immobilizing suspension is not a legal format per the PUC. Also my car is not double parked, the entire space is open next to me, so again, ILLEGAL!!!! We can go back and forth all day on this.  You can't just quit the BBB because your predatory company is being called out!

July 18th 2024. My car got booted at my place of residence because i was parked in front of my garage while waiting for my parking pass to arrive. They charged $235 plus an additional $150 deposit that as of this date has not been returned. The company has not responded to my 6 emails regarding the return of my deposit. As far as I know charging $235 is above the $160 colorado law for booting charges.

On the evening of 6/3, my car was booted. I was parked in front of my boyfriend's house without a permit. While I am not disputing the boot itself, I have yet to receive my security deposit of $235 from ParkItRight, and it is now over a month since my parking infraction. Their website states 7-14 business days, so I don't understand what the hold up on my money is. I have attempted to email the company twice in the past week to resolve this issue and I have not even gotten an email back letting me know they were looking into it. Given by the company's canned responses on here (horribly childish for a professional business to act this way), I'm doubtful I will see a resolution to this.

Park It Right has participated in the BBB business abusing program for 8 years.  We will no longer participate in this program that rewards violators lies without proof and does not credit our company with 100% proof that is provided on EVERY complaint.  In 8 years only 5 complaints are legitimate and the company was in its very beginning.

BBB is nothing more than a way to reward the very people that did not follow the parking rules of a private property.  Unlike towing our booting leaves the car in place clearly showing the violation.  To ensure our position we take more than 20 pictures to provide proof of our enforcement.

People complain more about our company because we embarrass them by booting their car in place. Unlike a towing company our objective is to reduce violators via visual and punitive enforcement.  The claims we missed the obvious permit, the signs are missing, I was never warned, I was just there for a minute and other false statements by violators are used to deflect responsibility for their own actions.

Regardless of the proof our company provides clearly showing we did not do as the violator states our rating is an F.  The BBB states I can get an A+ if I pay a monthly fee which I am not going to do. We are a parking enforcement company that has 100% proof of every enforcement action.  We will no longer waste our time responding to false statements about our company.

We are trying to get a refund for having a boot put on our car and outrageous fee associated with it. We live in the crownpoint subdivision in ******, **. We received several emails that parking passes are now required or you will get a boot. We have the passes, I picked them up the first day they were available. But nothing was said about getting a boot for other reasons, just for not having a parking pass. We were parked in our spot but over the line and received a boot and a ridiculous fee of $385. That is insane. No warning, no note to say hey make sure you are not over the line, nothing. None of the notifications said anything about other infractions, just the parking pass. Which by the way, there are several cars with no parking pass and also no boot. So I'm just wondering why no warning was given, why the fee is so ridiculously high, and why the actual infractions are not being taken care of. If possible I would like that fee reduced if not fully refunded and I want to make sure that the actual plan is being inforced, which is have a parking pass or get a boot. Also, we found out the state if ******** says the maximum amount a company can charge for a boot to be removed is $160. They are charging $385. They say their device does not count as a boot, even though the definition of a boot is a device that stops the operation of a vehicle. Which theirs does. We just want a refund of the over payment and for this company to k ow they can not charge more the the state says is allowed.

I am rejecting this response because: The ***************** says companies can charge no more the $160 to remove a parking boot. Your device is a type of parking boot so you should not be charging $385 to remove it!

    Sincerely,

On Friday 1/19/24 I parked at the ********************** apartment complex at ****************************************************** at 7pm. I parked in an empty space with no "permit parking only" signs in sight. At 8:30pm I went to leave the parking lot, and there was a boot on my car. The cost to remove it was $385, well over the State maximum of $160. I provided the company with pictures of my car (included here) in the parking space showing there was no warning this space wasn't available for guests and subject to booting. There was a permit parking only sign posted by the row of spaces behind where I parked, so one would safely assume a row without the same signage is available for guests. However, there isn't a permit parking only sign anywhere near the space, or the row, that I parked in. I requested a refund because of the lack of signage, the short amount of time I was in the space, and the criminal amount that I had to pay to drive my car off the lot. They blatantly disregarded the lack of signage in the area and refused to refund the amount charged. I also let them know they charged more than what is legal in the state, and they have yet to return that amount as well. Part of the cost was a $150 "security deposit" which I have yet to receive a refund for, and I returned their property immediately.

I am rejecting this response because: I provided clear proof that the space I was parked in was not designated as "permit parking only" in any way. Park It Right continues to argue there were signs posted near where I parked, however anyone who looks at the images provided can clearly see that is not the case. The amount they charge to remove the boot greatly exceeds the *****************'s maximum amount of $160.00. I don't trust them to refund the "security deposit" I am owed for properly returning their boot after removing it from my car. I have asked for the refund to be processed immediately because I don't want to be associated with this organization, and they have not processed the refund. They stated it takes **** business days, however with credit card transactions there's no reasonable explanation for the delay.

    Sincerely,

This company issued a warning that my vehicle will be booted because my plates are expired. The problem is my plates are not expired. This is a shakedown by a predatory company. Many of my neighbors reported that they got the same warning and also got their vehicle booted for expired plates, but the plates were not expired. This company is ************* arming the tenants of their customers for cash because the tenants are stuck in an *** that refuses to stop using this provider.Save yourself from this horrible situation and never buy a property where the *** uses parkitright.net. They are not a legitimate business. This is a predatory racket.
