      *******'s contract states "We just want to know exactly how you want it because after all, you'll be the one living in it and looking at it each day". ElkStone is not living up to this part of their contract. The shower door enclosure is way to short but according to ElkStone's comments this is the standard, and if we wanted a taller enclosure we "should have said so in the beginning". We were never presented with the option of having a taller enclosure. We had a conference with three representatives where they used the word "options" and this was the option we chose. We reminded ElkStone we were not given "options (pleural)". Only the "standard" size was on the contract. All that was talked about during the signing of the contract was Guru glass would be taking care of the shower glass and "they are having delay issues with glass orders so you will pay Guru glass directly" There was never any talk of sizing and the option of height. So beings we are not contractors, we did not place our focus on the height of the enclosure. And again there was no mention of different heights. Then upon installation of this short enclosure we immediately contacted the project manager, he then stated "well if you wanted an 80 inch enclosure you should have asked, we have two sizes 70 and 80". ElkStone is not willing to work with us to rectify the issue. They state they will give us a 10% discount on a new enclosure; however, if we would have been given the right options to begin with the cost would have been *******. But to fix the issue, caused because of miss communication, this project will cost us *******. Throughout this whole project there where blatant mistakes, forgetting to apply for the permits, ordering the wrong amount of drywall, not following up with the tile person to make sure this was completed, having to remind the ** many times to reinsulate the window which was removed and project finishing up 4 weeks later then projected.

      We always want our customers to be happy with the final product and we do everything we can to make sure that happens! Customers have choices when it comes to the variable customer costs, such as the shower door, carpet, and such. Our company provides estimates based on the customer's style and budget. Our clients work directly with our preferred vendors, or the vendors selected by the customer, to make their final selections and obtain their quotes. There is a process between the customer and the vendors to make any changes necessary before the final selections are chosen. We understand this customer is unhappy with the selection made and we are working with the customer and the vendor to see what can be done to help this customer.

      Our company was unaware of any complaints at the end of the project. The permit was applied for the day after the proposal was signed, which is standard practice for each of our projects. We are at the jurisdiction's mercy as to when the permit gets approved. This client added 700 square feet to their project, which meant additional drywall had to be ordered, but this was done well in advance and the correct amount was onsite prior to when drywall began. Tile started and finished on schedule. The window was already sealed when the customer reminded us to do so. From beginning to end, this project was finished in 8 weeks and 2 days. This includes the permit delay, weekends, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas week break. Considering the scope more than doubled in size after we started, the project went seamlessly. The shower door was installed after the project was completed, as discussed above.

      We are hoping for a positive outcome regarding the shower door, and we are actively pursuing efforts. Customer service is very important to our company, and we do what we can to ensure that each project is completed to a high standard with happy clients at the end.

      In a short seven weeks, our ***** square foot basement was complete. From the designer who came to our house to measure and get the floor plan - to our awesome project manager who was at the house about 4 days a week checking on the work, Elkstone was there to make sure we were happy with the progress. Different trades and/or our projector manager so potential problems before we did and had them corrected. Their online dashboard, payment system, calendar and "to do list" for us was an organized-person's dream!! I would strongly suggest them to anyone looking to finish their basement!!

      ***** was our project manager, she went far and beyond to help us with any concerns and got answers within the hour, She was on top of checking on contractors, as far keeping them on schedule and making sure we were happy with the end results, thank you ***** for making sure the contractors did it right, if it wasnt for her we would of had a few bad experiences. Would definitely refer to friends and family
