      1st appointment, even though I was told they would be able to install a ring door **** system the same day as the walk thru, they didnt. The guy showed up and said, we dont do that on the same day. We then booked an appointment two weeks out for an arrival time of 2-4pm, and you guessed it, NO ONE showed up even though the day before ontech sent an email saying they would be there. Then today when they did not show up, I am currently on the phone and have been for 1.5 hours, with an ontech rep that is trying to figure out what happened but she is on hold with one of their installers/providers. Ontech lacks integrity to do what they say they are more than willing to waste your time. Just another poorly led companies that does not back up their promises. All too common these days. Disappointing.

      Avoid at all cost. They came to install a ****** nest lock and it was not working properly so they could not install it. The technician said the lock was defective and I needed to request a replacement. Once I finally received the replacement they claimed that the warranty from the installation period had elapsed and I needed to pay again. When did the warranty for the installation ever start for a lock you did not instal? It's a scam. Stay away.

      This company is a joke. I booked and paid for an appointment. When I did not get an email confirmation hours later, I called and they told me the service call was cancelled because of suspected fraud. I saw they refunded my cc. So, I booked and paid a second time and same thing happened. Each time this happened the appointment availability slipped out. When I called them each time, they told me that they "needed to verify my order" and that they could not send an email confirmation until the order was verified. So each time I waited and checked back only to find appointments cancelled. This has wasted my time and delayed the badly needed installation of my thermostat. Pretty bad when you can't even make an appointment.

      TLDR our installation help was frustrating, costly and potentially risky. Their process for getting a refund/talking to someone is nonexistent.We got a SimpliSafe home security package. Our equipment arrived, we got the auto email from SimpliSafe "Thank you for choosing SimpliSafe. Just click here to schedule your appointment with our SimpliSafe-verified technicians." We did. I thought that the technician(s) that arrived would be knowledgeable about the SimpliSafe system; they were not. I thought they would be more effective than me at any installation activities like drilling; they were not. -One tech kept moving sensors around instead of slowing down and measuring. After he left, I realized he'd stuck various sensors down and then moved so many times, the adhesives weren't adhesive anymore. I bought more 3M sticky stuff, and re-applied them myself.-When installing the outdoor camera, he drilled two holes into our house, then when he put the camera near the mount, realized the camera wouldn't fit. So he had to drill two ADDITIONAL holes into our house to the camera could tilt -They didn't know how to use the app or setup sensors. I pulled out the instruction book to show them a few things.-One technician showed me the 'security screw' that goes in the bottom of the SS doorbell; it's what keeps the doorbell theft-proof. Told me importance of not losing the tiny SS-specific screwdriver. I noted his advice, then went back to the other technician that needed help troubleshooting. I assumed when I walked away that technician #2 was putting in the s**** to make the doorbell theft-proof. When they were getting ready to leave, he gave me the the tiny screwdriver.This week we realize: there's no s**** holding the doorbell in place. He skipped it! Then pretended he had when handing me the driver. I have complained to SimpliSafe and *tried* to contact OnTech to no avail (email and multiple phone calls). Do not use OnTech for SimpliSafe if you can avoid it.

      Horrible experience with our installer in ******, ** outside of ***********, ***** After calling and saying hed be there by 2:30, he didnt show up until 4pm, causing us to miss our 2pm appointment that we had rescheduled to 4 to make sure we could accommodate him. After all thathe wouldnt install the new thermostat because the old one wasnt responding ?? THATS LITERALLY WHY WE CALLED YOU TO COME PUT IN A NEW ONE. My husband asked him to wait while he re-set the pilot light and he refused to wait. Literally just left. Ruined our entire day entirely. IS THIS NOT YOUR JOB?????
