      Otterbox sent me cheap plastic protectors when I had ordered Amplify GLASS protectors. TWICE. that is deceptive advertising. absolutely disgusting. now my phone is without a screen protector and it's a 700 dollar phone!

      Reading the reviews, it's a bad company. After carefully reading their legal warranty, it became clear, that their warranty is specifically for marketing purposes and nothing more. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and any damage that occurs to the case from usage (any damage after it's put onto the phone) will void this warranty. This is how they can get away with stating the warranty is 7 years in length. They can state "The damage you are talking about is from use not from manufacturing". They purposely confuse the consumer to make their product seem better than it is. The warranty only covers the case and not the phone. Any damage to the phone due to use falls under user error, the warranty does not cover this.The photo request is due to people ****** requesting the warranty. They're trying to protect their brand, not the phones, this way. In reality, it's cheap plastic. They make their money from warranty shipping and handling. You can get cheaper cases and screen protectors of the same protection and quality at cheaper rates by going to certain websites. I stopped buying OtterBox cases from myself and my family members and started getting the best-priced cases/ screen protectors that do the same thing. Safe your self $30-$100 and look at cheaper brands, you'll be happier.

      I ordered a otterbox defender series on November 30th. It was shipped on the 2nd of December 2023. It was supposed to be delivered on Thursday, December 7, 2023. It never came.This company used to have a great reputation. Now they live off it & produce an inferior product (like HP). I ordered a new one, because the rubber on my case started cracking after 2 years. I spoke to my ************ had the same issue and is switching. The cover for the charging port broke in a year. Otterbox has its cases made in *****, ****** and the **. The defender series is made in *****. Anyway, on December 7th it arrived at my post office. It said acceptance pending. It still says that. I had trouble contacting them. They dont have a email, chat doesnt work and took several calls to reach them. Expect wait times of 20 min+ at minimum.When I finally got ahold of them. I was told they had just received it back. I asked for a refund, which they gave me. My question is why wasnt I contacted. Would they just have shipped it back? They said it was shipped back due to the address. It had a MI address. Really? Then how did it arrive at my post office in PA. I used PayPal, which has my address. So wasnt my mistake. No sorry, we will fix this or anything else. I will be getting rid of my defender series & will never buy any of their products again. They are way too expensive. They no longer offer a lifetime guarantee. It is now 7 years. They dont cover your phone replacement, if it fails. So I am getting a Tanker Casebus for $40. I paid $53.35 for the otterbox & that was 30% off. The day after ordering. It went to 40% off. They have to discount their cases, because only an idiot would pay full price.My advice is to avoid Otterbox. Their cases are no longer quality. They are hard to get a hold off. Get a Casebus or another brand & save money, while getting a better case.I had the same issue with my XL, & iPhone 6 case. I will NEVER buy otterbox again. They are now garbage.

      This warranty is not at ALL what it once was. They are now making it their mission to make the process as difficult as possible, in order to discourage people from making warranty claims. They will make you wait 7 days for a response, ask you to call, ask you to send pictures multiple times, make you wait some more... Not even worth it. AND their clear cases become yellow within a month. For 50$+!!! AVOID

      They won't honor a warranty on a case that was discontinued, even though it's within the 7 year warranty their reps claim. They then found a defender series case that they were going to send to me after spending over an hour and a half on the phone. After I was told they found one, they then swapped it for a lesser case without even telling me about it, other than sending an email that the case was discontinued. If they are going to offer a 7 year warranty, in my opinion, they should be honoring them. I will not be buying otterbox products again after this headache. They also seriously lack communication skills and don't respond back to emails.

      If there were negative stars, they would be awarded them all!! I attempted to file a warranty claim on an OtterBox phone case I have had less than 6 weeks! Upon making the initial warranty claim, ***** claimed to be a free replacement. Thats a lie. My bank account was immediately drafted $9.99 for a WARRANTY CLAIM REPLACEMENT CASE!!! However! I did NOT receive a confirmation immediately!! Several days later I did receive an email asking for full length photos of case with notebook paper and my name and date hand written. I done as they asked! Days passed! I inquired about the status, & was sent another email requesting the same thing! Furious, at this point its been 2 weeks! No ******************* is still in their possession! I asked for a full refund! Which I received an email finally! Saying it was canceled. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED MY MONEY!! This seems like a scam OtterBox uses to fraudulent charge customers for services NOT RENDERED!!! DEPLORABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A COMPLIMENT FOR WHAT THE DESERVE!!!!

      They stole my money for a warranty refused to release the hold on my funds and or send my merchandise when contacting them it took days to get a response were on day ******************************************************************************************************************** any future business with a company who is clearly doing bad business and is being able to get away with it. Do better, in days like this everyones money should be treated just as you would treat your own. Currently looking into legal action because do better, you guys cannot continue to get away with robbing people blind!

      Excellent protection for Ipad. My son is severely autistic but uses an iPad so an OtterBox was essential. He has thrown that iPad so many times very hard against walls, onto floors for years. I've only just recently had to replace an iPad due to a screen crack but it had taken so much abuse prior. I am completely satisfied with this product and will certainly buy again and would definitely recommend.

      Otterbox's Warranty is a complete scam. They say they offer a limited lifetime warranty on their cases. When you look at their warranty, this actually means 7 years, which is reasonable, but then they say it doesn't apply to discontinued products, and every item they discontinue after a year. Their 7 years then becomes only a few months because a new phone is put out, and they stop producing cases for the old model. They then admitted they sell off remaining inventory to third party sellers like Amazon to avoid offering warranties. They won't reimburse you for getting a case from one of these resellers. The craziest thing is they don't see how this is wrong and dishonest.

      Worst service ever. I had a bought an iPhone case the lifeproof FRE and the rubber siding started to lift up leaving my phone vulnerable. Water started to leak through my phone, good thing I caught it before it damaged my phone. Submitted a claim was asked for pictures, which I sent over. Detailed images at that. They then reply and proceeded to tell me that they needed my name and date on a piece of paper next to it, did that. Then they replied again saying they want my phone case taken apart with the picture of my name and date. I literally keep getting the runaround after sending MULTIPLE pictures with a description of exactly what was wrong with my case. They email me again saying that I now need to SHIP the case WITH MY OWN MONEY for review. This entire process is literally ridiculous, customer service is unhelpful and useless. I can imagine if I never sent in the photos but I literally sent over 10 photos of the case with my name and date. I just want a refund at this point. You guys can keep your case since it’s poorly made anyways.
