I have never contacted refijet and have not asked them to contact me. I do not even have an auto loan. I am receiving robot calls hourly and they have sent me text messages referring to me as "J". There is no J in any part of my name.Business Response

I completed a lease buyout of a ******* vehicle through RefiJet with representative ***************************** in February 2023. The loan was purchased from ******* Motor Finance and assigned to *********************** completed, and signed. Several months later, I still had not received the title for the vehicle. I emailed ****** using the same email chain we previously used to communicate and he asked if I had moved from CA. I have lived in MD throughout this entire process so I was confused - did they mix up my file with someone else's? I need the title to refinance this loan and while communicating with another company, they stated that the *** for MD still had the registration and title listed as a lease with the original lease finance company (******* Motor Finance). I inquired with the ***, who stated that RefiJet should have sent them the *** form to correct this when the original lease buyout was completed. I emailed ****** again and he stated "This looks like an older file. When I look up your name, all I fine is an application you initiated on 10/23. However, when I searched your number in our call system, I found this message from our loan closer on, Feb 20th , 2023 (see below) and shows that you never replied to us, and your loan was never completed." The absurdity of this response was laughable. I responded and attached the loan documents in the hopes this would help. He then asked "did CCU even have a file for you?" This situation is beyond ridiculous and unprofessional. I am shocked with the behavior and tone of your representative. I expect this situation to be appropriately resolved and will be happy to never have to deal with this company again.Business Response

Unfortunately, this was a *** error that resulting in your prior leasing company still being listed as the owner even though the lien holder on the tile has been changed to the correct lender. The *** is stating that because a duplicate title was produced, they are going to need the owner to go to the office and change the information in person for the fastest results. We sincerely apologize for the confusion on your inquiry to refinance. When the vehicle data was entered, it pulled the wrong model year and that caused an error in the initial valuation. We have addressed this internally to try and mitigate this from happening again. Thought I found a good rate through lending tree with this company about 3 weeks ago. Was told I qualified, signed all the documents(there were many), provided all the documents requested by them to get this done. They even changed the lien holder on my insurance policy themselves three weeks ago!! I call last Friday because *** never received a bill or any correspondence in three weeks from them or Consumers CU. They assure they will call me back before end of day. I finally get a call back today, four days later, requesting even more documents to get my loan closed. The credit union hasnt even funded the loan yet. Keep in mind according to the contract I signed I am only about 8 days away from owing on my new loan AND this was supposed to be a done deal. I told them to cancel the whole thing. I dont trust this company, the processes, or the hoops you have to jump through to get this done. It gives me scammy vibes. I got an email from my current bank asking for proof of insurance or they would buy and bill me for insurance today since refijet took it upon themselves to change that and then not follow through! Stay AWAY! Highly do not recommend!!!! Will never do business with them or look through lending tree ever again! I dont need anything resolved, but to warn others of these people.Business Response

10/6/23 - 10/10/23 Refijet I asked to stop contacting me. They called 16 times in one day from 11 different numbers. They messaged me several different times. I asked repeatedly to stop and be removed. I got a message saying youve been removed 5 times and I am still continuing to get calls and messages. This is harassment. We have reviewed your complaint. During the application process, RefiJet received incorrect or false information regarding your current source of income. Per the text message conversation on file, the *** did communicate that the lender will not accept paystubs (from Uxxx) that do not match the employment info provided (which was Axxxxx) on the application. We also informed you that paystubs provided were older than 30 days from that current date of 8/25/23 and would need to be current or would not be accepted by the lender. RefiJet then asked you to provide 3 months of bank statements however could not guarantee they would be accepted. Shortly after RefiJet received a Do Not Contact request from you so no further work on your application was done at your request. The lender would not accept the form POI which RefiJet does not have any control over and once you requested to no longer be contacted, your request was honored.

I am rejecting this response because: I did not finalize the loan on the 7th. As I wasnt even sure which loan I was going to be applying for yet. I switched last minute. If you claim you have proof he says we take a $495 processing fee as profit Ill gladly take this complaint down. But that was never stated it was stated the price and I ask why is it 2k more and he states its for government and local. All I would like is this fee refunded as it was not stated correctly due to federal laws!
