This concerns the ******** facility in ****, Maui, ******. My wife parked there on May 9, 2023 and attempted to use their complicated and difficult to see digital sign in station. She expected to pay $17.00 when she completed the process. When she returned to her car, there was a ticket demanding $39.00 for parking without a ticket, and stating that she had 72 hours to pay.Fearing the worst, she paid this fine with the same credit card used to pay the initial $17.00.We called ******** and discovered that they had charged both fees and that the problem stemmed from some typos my wife had made within the initial transaction.Apparently you CANNOT make any typos with ******** and the agent initially agreed to refund the $39.00 fine which was caused by these ******* told the agent we would never park in the **** facility again and would advise our friends of this and he said he was withdrawing his offer to refund the fine because I was unhappy with their company, and he hug up on me.We are in our eighties and dealing with glare makes it difficult to work with digital input devices. My wife simply made some typos while trying to get a parking ticket. Why should we have to pay these rip-offs 39 bucks on top of the $17.00 they already got?Initial Complaint

ParkM sent a notice of card declining on 4/9/23 that stated my permit was still active and no purchase was necessary, just an update of payment and that theyd try again 48hrs. My card was deactivated due to identity theft issues and I was awaiting the new card in the mail. Another notice was sent on 4/12 that matched the one sent on 4/9. I was worried about the card being there in time but the notice still said I was active and no purchase was necessary. Another notice sent 4/15 at about 12:30 AM. Then a notice sent at 1:30 am saying it was deactivated (This somehow ended up in my spam folder). Then at 2:00AM just half an hour later, during non-normal business hours, hours that I was not awake for nor is anyone usually awake for, my car was towed. Now they are saying that there is nothing they can do. This is clearly problematic and honestly seems very shady. As if ParkM and ************* are purposefully targeting this apartment complex because of its heavy minority population and lower income family demographics. The prices of that towing place are insane and they charge for anything, including simply getting a jump if the battery of car is dead. Something needs to be done about this.Initial Complaint

On February 5, 2023 at 5:02:07pm MST 2 vehicles information was submitted to ParkM for2 garage parking permits at the Luxe Apartments at *********. ParkMs computer system failed to recognize that 2 permits were issued and charged us only $10 for 2 vehicles when it should have charged $10 per vehicle for a total of $20. With failure of there system to recognize that 2 vehicles requested 2 permits at $10 a vehicle for a total of $20 one of my vehicles ended up being towed and impounded on Saturday February 11th, I had to go pick it up on February 12th and pay $361.35 because of ParkM system failure of the required 2 parking permits I had asked for they failed to provide the goods and services I requested.Initial Complaint

ParkM's services were retained by the *************************** (Property Managers in ******** ********) to enforce vehicle parking compliance. ParkM intentionally targets residents of the *************************** to steal our vehicles to hold hostage in an effort to extort towing fees from low-income families. ParkM does not return emails and has disconnected their phone system. This creates a disparate impact on ProtectedVeteranFamilies. ParkM continues to inappropriately tow vehicles without consent of the residents. ParkM's user portal has failures/broken URLs so there is no resolution to purchasing permits. I am a disabled veteran injured in combat operations in ***********. I had my vehicle stolen by ParkM and was charged $200 to recover my vehicle. The tow company stole my electronics and personal items when they unlawfully towed my vehicle (without warning) because ParkM failed to update my profile. My vehicle has DisabledVeteran plates issued by the *****************. It is unfortunate that the State's Attorney General refuses to hear complaints from DisabledVeterans when business cause harm to us, as we are targeted for our scarlet ****** displayed across the front and back of our vehicles. The outcome of having my vehicle towed (4 days before Christmas) was I lost a $150k client contract due to the fact that I was unable to recover my computer that was stolen by ParkM and their contracted towing company. It was my mistake thinking that moving into the *************************** would be an improvement on my family's quality of life. These people are criminals and will us statues of limitations and their unscrupulous legal representation to further cause harm to a complaining witness. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH PARKM. NO ONE WIIL HELP YOU WHEN THEY STEAL FROM YOU.... I have attempted to contact ParkM to resolve this matter for two years. Disabled Veterans are targeted because business know that we have no support for resolution/to CURE!Initial Complaint

This business is claiming I did not have a valid parking permit at my residence with them and there for towed me. I have an active permit paid up to date since I moved here 5 months ago. They have no address and no phone number to get ahold of them but are taking money from me and others monthly. I have been in contact with them through email and all of my screen shots proving my payments and active permit they are denying as valid. They wont get me in contact with a manager and I cannot even talk to a person. Everything is electronic.Initial Complaint

Park M is a faulty never working app that when I try to purchase permits, almost 95% of the time I get an error message and am unable to, I am in the process of moving out of my appartment last night (11/18) at 830 my girlfriend has just came back from dropping a previous load of boxes off and just returned to get a final few, her trunk was open and just about to leave, she came back up and informed me her car was stolen by ******* towing (also have filed complaint on them) she was there less than 20 minutes while we loaded, that's like towing the the pizza delivery guy, faulty system no contact information and constant in clarified price increases. This shouldn't be an operating business if their platform doesn't even work 95% of the time incredibly frustratingInitial Complaint

My sons car was parked at Starta apartments. ParkM which has no phone # to contact them at. Their address is PO Box at *** store. Which is the information I got from BBB. Gave me no notice that the parking was prement was not paid. They did not call or even text. I thought it would come threw the Strata e-mails. Towed the car. Which cost me $364.36 to get back. Im not happy, I thought it was against the law to not warn someone. They said my card was decided on 9/26/2022. Today is 10/14/2022. It says they towed his car at 3:12 am. Sense their is no one I can talk too. I was told it would take 48hrs for them to maybe return an email. Which would have insure I was paying another $300 to the tow company. Im asking for them to return what I had to pay to the tow truck company. This matter could have fixed in mins on the 26th of the last month. Had they have bothered to call & say your card didnt go threw. I believe since I was given no notice. I have no way to call them. They have no offfice to go into. That they need to repay me the $364.36. That not okay at all. The tow truck company they work with ***** towing charges $221.11 just to put the car on the truck. Than they charge $46.56 per 13 hrs. Notifications fee which they didnt notify us of $75. I could care less if the money comes from ***************************************** I want my money back. I want this company to actually have a working phone # & a real address. That shady to me to have the phone # say contact us through email. The address go to a *** store.Initial Complaint

I have been living in the same apartment with same vehicle for 3 years. ParkM has been active for 2. According to the mobile view my vehicle has always been listed as an active permit. On Saturday 10/8 I came out to find that my truck had been booted. When I looked on my phone, my truck had just disappeared entirely. According to them my parking permit had expired June 2021. Somehow I never got booted despite cars next to me being so and the company booting at least once a week. As I said I always could see that it said active. When emailing them they said they had sent out a warning it was going to expire on the June 23 2021. But we're sent that day at the same time, which had them sent to spam. That is the only communication I ever recieved. I asked them to call the booting company to tell them it was an error but they simply said because I did not have a permit at that time they would not do so. I went on to say the reason I did not have a permit was because of improper communication and that it is fishy I was not booted once in that almost year and a half. Their response was the same in they wouldn't do anything. I ended up having to pay $155 to have the boot removed bevause the booting company didn't care at all. I know multiple other people in my complex have had the same issue or issues woth vehicles/permits just disappearing suddenly.
