      The word PREDATORY comes to mind. Billed $2400 for what was less than a mile ambulance ride. They repeatedly called me saying I never provided my insurance company information. I repeatedly provided said information each time. Then they waited for over a year to contact me, again saying I owed because I never provided my insurance details. I again responded that I provided the information. Now 9 years (9!!!) they called me again saying I would be sent to collections if I don't pay. They even slipped and said the name of my insurance company, which I pointed out meant I did indeed give them my provider information. The agent then said my health provider refused to pay saying my auto insurance should be liable. This makes absolutely no sense! ************** does not typically pay for medical transport and it was covered (minus a copay) by my health insurance. However9 years later I have different insurance. Its clear to me that AMR does not care about people at all. They only care about $$. For all I know, my insurance did pay them and they are double-dipping. This company is not to be trusted.

      I received a bill for $1200.00 for a 2-mile trip to the *** I had no choice for transport as AMR is contracted with local services. I continually get emails and paper bills saying there is a problem with my insurance. I've called them 5 times to give correct insurance info and they keep telling me they are told I had no coverage on the date of service...which is false! I even had the rep from my insurance company join a 3-way call with AMR to verify coverage and other info, but still continue to get bills and emails saying I owe entire amount. I guess my next step will be to call the local consumer reporter from the local TV news. If you have any choice in ambulance service DO NOT choose AMR. I will sit at home and die rather than call 911 and risk being transported anywhere by AMR.

      NEVER, EVER use this service!!!! We waited 3 hours for a simple transport. Once they arrived they were unprofessional, uncaring and not trained and almost laughable,. if it werent such a serious situation They immediately called the local fire **** to move a 57 man who weighed 150 lbs. they said they were not cable of moving him!!! They then dropped the ****** going out of the house and insisted a fire man ride along to the facility. It was unbelievable!!! They had trouble filling out their own paperwork. I have called the local company repeatedly to voice my concerns. They have not returned any if calls. My Dad lived 96 beautiful yearsthe last 4 hours of his life he endured incompetence and disrespect! It was shameful! I would rate them 0 stars.

      On 8/25/22 we called an ambulance for my mom because she was passing a lot of blood in her stool and every time she stood up she would get dizzy and have a panic attack . The EMTs for AMR were very rude , they insisted my mom walk to the stretcher they left outside for some reason , wouldnt even try to bring it in the house and when she told them if she stands up she gets dizzy and starts to hyper ventilate one of them snapped at her and said well you can control that just breathe . We told them she had stopped taking one of her medications and we think she might be going through withdrawals and they immediately started treating her like a useless drug addict which my mom is far from , we also told them her stool is mainly blood and come to find out she was bleeding internally from 3 massive perforated ulcers which somehow they didnt think of that and were forcing her to put her pants on by herself and make her walk herself about 20 feet the the stretcher but luckily my dad told them to get out of his way and he carried her out . All in all the worst experience she should have never had to go through and is now doing great no thanks to AMR.

      Verbally abusive staff bullied me and yelled at me all the way to the hospital while i was having a possible second stroke in a 2week period. I was crying when i got tot the ** Horrible experience I am afraid to call for an ambulance now because of the abuse I endured during my transport with AMR

      I give the two stars because of the quick response. My name is ***** I was sick last month had to call an ambulance to the hospital, which I regretted. I had a bad experience while I was in the ambulance on our way to the hospital. They bulled me really bad. One of them started: Are you an alcoholic *****? And the guy responded and said naa she's on crock addic, I'm I right ***** loughing all of them including the driver. they took one of my prescription buddle and never give it back. Guys, I have never drink alcohol, I don't drink alcohol, I never even seen how the crocks looks like, I was ****** terrified, never feel safe and never thought that I was going to get off that ambulance alive. I thought maybe it was an scams ambulance.They used to good, safer, but now I'm wandering, is this the quality that Ambulance stand for? How can you protect the patient from getting amotional abuse by such a ppl?
