I opened a dispute on 5/19/25 for an UNauthorized debit amount of $250.20 taken from my checking account. checked my bank account balance on Sunday 5/18/25 & immediately noticed this large transaction taken from my checking account.I haven't made any large transactions such as this, for anything, in this time frame! Immediate concern, called to see about steps need to take to file a dispute (since this is not something I typically have to worry about) in which a Bellco *** said they could do it over the phone. explained what happened/submitted the dispute via phone call, assuming that this would get taken care of, knowing in my heart I am innocent & this money was takEn from me. They granted a "provisional credit" in said amount while they conducted their "investigation". However, upset to see the provisional credit reversed as of yesterday & the charge still taken out of my account- as from their end (Bellco) it was "investigated" & denied w them stating transaction "was authorized" by me. This is completely UNtrue, as I did NOT authorize a transaction on Sunday 5/18/25- when that appeared (was at home all day with my child), nOr at any other time around that time period, or eveR at all to whatever/whoeveR that company is)! utterly disheartening this amount of $, (which is nOt a small amount for a struggling single mom)- is being taken from ******* children!!! That amount of $ is maybe half a month's worth of groceries for my kids!! also feel insulted that it's insinuated that I made this charge, which I absolutely did NOT & would dispute it?!? Upset that their team didn't investigate well enough to conclude I didn't make this charge on my card, let alone that I would have no clue what its even for at that! or where this so called place even IS to make a charge in that amount! I'm hoping that they'd do the right thing & reopen this claim and investigate further, as this is taking food from my kids' mouths and I have been a loyal Bellco member for over a decade!!!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I have called & talked to customer service about this dispute several times now. They have sadly shown again, & again they are unwilling to help me- *despite* me pointing out the many *incongruencies* on this case by the opposite end from me, that clearly help point to how this was fraudulent!! Some of them being: that no such husiness exists under the name of where said charge is from when researched online, also the phone number connected to the so called place that it's from is not even in service (I called it), so how on earth would they be able to call this so called business to confirm anything It's a so-called business is "beauty salon/barber shop" and yet the charge shows it was taken out at 2:37 AM in which I've never in my life heard of any of those kinds of businesses being opened at that hour. The location of where the supposed charge was made are apartment buildings not businesses. I was around several people in which I didn't have my purse on me 24/7, in which somebody could have easilyntaken my card from my purse at any given moment. Also, the person who took my dispute over the phone did not word things right or use the verbiage I specifically asked to be used for the dispute filing. I also asked them to send documentation of that and the person over the phone said that I gave authorization to my friend's daughter to use my card as if I gave her authorization to take over my card at any point during that day or evening which I did not. In fact, the card was in my possession up until the points, I was in the bathroom or the other room and my purse wasn't with me in which my friend's daughter wasn't anywhere near us or even in the same location or place. I realize I should have never filed a dispute over the phone with the person taking it. And I should've written the dispute with my own hand on a paper.I just thought I could trust the bellco representative! This charge is beyond fraudulent, and it hurts my heart, among my finances for my children that my bank that I have been so loyal to forbso many years is not being loyal to helping me. I've been a loyal client of a bellco for about 12 or 13 years! It beyond sickens me that they are so unwilling to help someone who has maybe filed ONE other dispute yearsss ago (that was a mUch smaller amount) in alllll of these years/all of my time banking with them. I have also opened TWO loans in rather large amounts through Bellco in which I've NEVER even had ONE late payment & fully paid bOth off even earlier then needed to be. These are just a few examples of what shows what a good and loyal customer I have been to this credit union. It's very sad that they can just let me be robbed of this money & not reimburse me. I am welcome to them also calling me if it's a *manager* from the fraud department, I, however *still would like to keep this open with the BBB and have assistance in whichever way I can from the BBB* in efforts to have support on a better conclusion for this.

I was finally able to talk to a manager within the dispute team, he was very kind and understanding, and after discussing more facts about what happened, he was able to reopen the investigation in which it had a positive outcome for me this time. I requested a payoff for my auto loan (3/31) and I still dont have it as it is very much needed from **************************** as I purchased a vehicle on 3/31 which was a Sunday (it is now 4/8), so I couldnt contact anyone that day about this as business was closed. I need to get this letter/screenprint something emailed to me or ***************** ******** at ************************ as soon as possible before they take my car and I am carless (my other one is gone now). I am not local to ********, I live in ******* so I do not have a branch that I can go to. I hope that I dont have to escalate to management. My credit score was not because their online platform for payments for a ***** was very confusing with five separate accounts that showed up on thedashboard. When I made my HELOC payment, it went toward an account that expressed the balance of my HELOC. I thought everything was fine cause Ihad made the payment but because it wasnt for a different account or one of the other four accounts, they did not accept it as payment for my HELOC even though Bellco did receive money. I paid my loan in full to Bellco. I had actually called because I wanted to be done paying this loan, and I asked how much to pay off the entire loan, which was 500 something dollars, which I paid. Its clear something sketchy happened on their end. I had to call them four times to get my auto title sent to me. I think someone screwed up, and they werent supposed to send the title because they marked it as a charge off, getting their company a tax break when they shouldnt have, because it was NOT a charge off, as I paid the loan in full. They finally sent me my auto title, however, its still showing up as a charge off on my credit report, which is inaccurate. If one of their employees did something sketchy, it had nothing to do with me, and I did my duty of paying my loan in full before they ever posted a charge off status on my credit. I would like this false information and this account deleted off my credit report immediately. They do not have proof because I paid them the amount in full before they tried to claim a charge off status for themselves. Clearly, something sketchy went on, on their end and this false information should not be on my report.Business Response

On 05/17/21, the dealership paid $10,133.02 toward the remaining balance on the account.(The Dealership paid the existing balance on the account at the time of the transaction)On 05/17/21, Bellco charged the account $58.54 for Interest incurred during the first part of the month of May 2021.On 06/02/21, Bellco charged the account $15.00 for Late Charge Assessment.(When the 'remaining' balance was brought to my attention, Bellco was contacted and final payment was made for the remaining $58.54)On 06/08/21, when contacted, Bellco applied $15.00 for Late Charge Waive to reverse the Late Charge.(When Bellco was contacted on 06/08/21, I inquired about the late fee and the Bellco representative advised that was in error and they corrected error.)On 06/08/21, after discussing with the Bellco representative, payment of the 'now' remaining balance was paid in full for $58.54 - applied to the account on 06/09/********/30/21, Bellco continued to show a balance of $0.25 (although two attempts had been made to pay the remaining balance in full).Between 10/14/24 and 11/08/24 (over three years later), ***** reported to TransUnion VantageScore that on 06/22/21 the account had reached 30 days past due, as they had not received the proper payoff on the loan to close it in full.This action has negatively impacted my Credit Report Score and is currently negatively impacting my abilty to obtain a home loan.On 01/06/25, the error was reported to ********************************************************** describing the situation, the error, and requesting to resolve the matter.On 01/28/25, in response to the dispute reported to ********************************************************** they provided account balance numbers that do not match the account statements, indicating that "no update will be provided to the agencies regarding this dispute".(From the Bellco response, it seems they reported to TransUnion VantageScore the account had reached 30 days past due to the $0.25 that 'remained' on the account, in error.)Business Response

They filled with the credit agency that I had delinquent payments on a car .. the account has already been closed and paid in full. There was never any delinquent payments. When called to get it fixed they said they dont know what Im talking about and cant help me that it shows paid on time. They will not admit or fix there mistake and it made me have a -86 point hit on my credit . The final statement was sent out on September 12, 2024 and it was paid on September 30 in the amount. Of ******* I have supporting documents I can send as well to show all communication. The lease was paid in full due to my protection order for my daughter and I and the other party who the order was against was on the car so we could no longer have it. Hello I am reaching out because Bellco overdrafted my account the money that I asked to DISPUTE for a Defective Product that I received. I called them and they gave me the same ******** that the Portals Parfums also provied me. So basically I have stolen money from both Bellco and Portals Parfums and nobody is understanding the situation about the dispute and the refund that I am requesting. I have explained the situation over and over again and I am being treated like garbage by both businesses. As stated on the Screenshots I asked for a refund due to a Defective item I was denined that because I was inform to Return the Item no that is false because the policy states no returns or exchanges I told bellco the same info and they ignored it and told me the same think as Portals Perfume that I have to Return the Item in Order to get a refund false why go back on your word and change the policy that's wrong and against policy lieing to your Customers is wrong. So I am hoping that the bbb can get this Issue Resolved because I can't take this frustration anymore it is affecting me mentally and i don't understand why I am not taken seriouslyBusiness Response

Bellco will contact the member to explain that if she used a debit card (or ACH) to purchase a product that was defective,there is very little Bellco can do. Since the purchase transaction was authorized by the member, Bellco can only dispute the transaction with the merchant through the normal dispute channel. If the merchant refuses to refund the purchase price, the member will need to deal directly with the merchant or the company she used to pay for the product. I am rejecting this response because I have repeatedly stated the situation with Bellco over and over again providing evidence and explanation of the situation but they never understood me and just ignored my concern and respond and basically went with the Merchants Side instead of a member of Bellco. Someone from Bellco did contact me to I guess get all the evidence which I did provide before contacting the BBB and Clearly nobody took a look at that evidence. She also mentioned she would send me a link through Email so I can submit my evidence again but never received anything. That's why I contacted the BBB in the first place because **************** as already screwed me in the past and I won't let Bellco do the same to me. If nobody then help then that shows that Bellco is the worst bank and Clearly doesn't care about there members. I have also contacted Affirm about the situation since I made a payment plan with them for the Item but there investigation has been taking long which is why I contacted Bellco but again they have no Care in the world and my only help was the BBB but sadly it seems like nobody wants to help or get this Resolved I've basically been stolen by Bellco, Affirm, and the Portals Parfums Website for the Money I paid for fraudulent product.

I am rejecting this response because not only was I basically Scammed $200 by Both Bellco & Portals Parfums I was Forced to Finish Paying the Defective Product with Affirm since Everyone Rejected me due to discrimination and I am expecting to earn back everything I paid for which is again the reason why I reached out to the BBB due to both Businesses and a dispute process with Bellco is just going to take long again probably another month waiting and pretty sure I will be rejected again and have the blame on me I have provided a screenshot of the full payment that I had to pay which I shouldn't have paid and I am expecting all that back ASAP because I ain't playing anymore with Bellco or Portals Parfums or Affirm

I am rejecting this response because I have been back and forth with both Bellco and Affirm through phone about the issue I asked nicely to have a conference call with both and no one is accepting that decision and Refused. Has I gave explained to both bellco and Affirm no I did not return the Item and I understand that the dispute was denied so I decided to pay the loan in full and i took Screenshots of the loan being paid in Full until for some reason bellco did a charge back which Caused to mess up my credit with Affirm and caused a overdue payment on a loan that was again fully paid and a loan that had nothing to do with the issue with the dispute I asked for. When calling both parties one informed me that bellco needs to put back the money to Affirm of the chargeback they created and bellco inform me that Affirm is supposed to respond to there emails clearly none of the parties is communicating or getting the work done which is causing unnecessary over due payments that shouldn't exist because I paid for them in full I also never asked for credit or the dispute to be reopen and bellco did that on there own without my consent. Nobody is understanding what I am asking for these over due payments will not be paid twice by me they either come from bellco or Removed from Affirm because it's ridiculous. Like I mentioned to both parties I don't care about the dispute because it was basically rejected and I paid my loan In full but whatever work they did caused another problem and I am unsatisfied by Both parties because of the mess They just created. These loans were paid in Full and none should be overdue and I called for 2 weeks straight to get this Issue fixed and no one is committing to do that. And the lack of communication from both bellco and Affirm is Unprofessional and the fact that I asked for a conference call which is simple to speed up the process is being rejected because No one wants to get this resolved. I Provided Screenshots of the loan that was Fully paid and the loan that had nothing to do with the dispute because there should be no reason why it's under overdue payment when they have been fully paid by me. And again I am not paying these loans twice it comes out of bellcos pocket or Removed from Affirm because I won't let both companies ruin my credit. So BBB this is an issue that needs to be fixed ASAP I have more Screenshots I can Provided. I just want this Issue fixed fast and overwith because I don't like how both bellco and Affirm are not communicating and getting this issue resolved when instead they are making the issue worst. And if it's not hard to ask I would like to speak to someone through phone to re explain everything since nobody is taking information down correctly and I expect for bellco and Affirm to be in touch not through Email because clearly that's not helping at all it's better to straight up call them and actually put in the effort to work on the issue then to work slow as a sloth and make the issue even worse for me.

Bellco requested that all credit reports be pulled in order for them to update the other bureaus and this is unacceptable. Bellco has continually avoided this request for over a year.

I am rejecting this response because no written confirmation has been given. Bellco has stated for over a year that the report(s) have been correct. Bellco states that no communitaction on my requests is in any historial reports. Only that I have requested several time to have the error correct. If no communitcation has been found how does bellco know I requested it in the first place. I have requests communication with a "supervisior" over the last year with no responce from Bellco . Once I recieve a written confirmation and I see the correction on ALL reporting bureaus and ALL my current Bellco accounts are closed will I be satified with the outcome of the results

I am rejecting this response because:Letter was finally sent regarding an request to update. However, no update has been received. Bellco has yet to define when the update will occur. Bellco has said 30 days. Bellco has said 60 days. The 30 days has already been met, and reporting is still not updated with Credit reporting. Have contacted Bellco several times on when the update will occur. Basic 30 days response has been given. Last contact with Bellco was now 60 days. Have contact Bellco to clarify is it 30 or 60 days. NO Reply has been given. This dispute is to remain open until Bellco updates the Credit reporting.

I am rejecting this response because:I gave no such instructions. The account is still in dispute until it has been determined that the credit report has been updated. Anyone can send a FAKE form letter to my address on file and say "we did it" I am not pleased with the bellco customer service. I have asked on serval occasions to speak with a supervisor. We did some more research on your account and see that you had filed credit bureau dispute on 11/27. On 12/13/2024 we updated the credit bureau to let them know that you werent late for Nov 2024 payment as there was no payment due since 11/2023. For whatever reason when we made the update with the credit bureaus it looks like it was rejected. We are looking into why the update was rejected. In the meantime, we have resubmitted to the credit bureaus to let them know that you shouldnt been reporting late and will verify tomorrow that it was submitted successfully with no issues. I will follow up with you to let you know.
I do want to apologize for this error. I see you have been a member with us since 1997 and want you to know that we value your membership and take this situation seriously. I am sure this has been frustrating and time consuming. I want to get down to what caused the card to negatively report suddenly and why the updates we made were rejected by the credit bureau. so on 10/8/24 Bellco without obtaining official court order to do so due to debt which was illegal. I called and offered to do a payment plan as I am struggling quite a bit they refused. I told them I was working with a debt company but that didn't work for them either.Business Response
