Weve been a customer, policy holder, for 4 years, monthly payments and never late. Weve followed the contract, with that being said, when our vehicle broke down, it was no longer driven. We had it towed to a shop. It has not been driven since. *****, the adjuster, put in the notes that the metal shavings were from continued use. This is absolutely not true. When the car broke down, it did not drive again, PER THE CONTRACT!! Our mechanic told Carshield/American Autoshield that we needed a new engine. In the contract, that **** been paying for FOR 4 years, says that the ENGINE IS COVERED. Our claim is only authorized for for $1500 towards a timing chain, but it also needs a new engine. We were going to cancel coverage a long time ago after hearing about how bad American Autoshield is. I convinced us that weve been good, paying too long to not, that it would be good, because were going to want the coverage in case something happened. Well here it is. Something happened. Our engine and timing chain needs to be replaced. We did not drive in it. We read the contract. After all this time, American Autoshield wont honor the contract. I would recommend, to not have faith and seriously reconsider coverage with these crooks.American Auto Shield, LLC

Would leave zero stars if possible. Rude agents all the way around. They have no idea what parts of the vehicle go where or what is covered. They definitely need to be more knowledgeable of the products they sell.American Auto Shield, LLC

Of course they are going to feel that way they are the business. But, as the consumer when someone is blatantly lying to you or just has absolutely no idea how something works it get frustrating. I am filing this complaint against American Auto Shield due to unacceptable treatment and mismanagement of my account.Rude and Unprofessional Claims Agents:Claims agents ******* and ********* treated me with extreme disrespect. Tamisha's poor handling led to my warranty being placed into collections without warning, and ********* outright refused to let me speak with a supervisor, which is entirely unprofessional.Warranty Mismanagement:My warranty has been repeatedly deactivated without any clear explanation, and despite my attempts to resolve the issue, Ive been met with confusion and a lack of assistance.Convoluted Communication:Being passed between Car Shield, Key ****************** Front Range Payment, and American Auto Shield without any resolution is unacceptable. The lack of clarity and communication has prevented me from managing my account effectively.This situation is intolerable. I demand an immediate resolution of my warranty issue, a clear explanation, and corrective action against your staffs unprofessional conduct. 1 starWe are at a standstill with a claim on my jeep. It is still at the dealer after they denied the claim. The jeep has a bad head gasket, with coolant leaking into cylinder number 3. The dealer sent pictures to American auto shield and they denied the claim due to burnt coolant and intrusion. When I asked for further clarification, they said that the photos the dealer sent showed burnt coolant in the cylinder and the intrusion was coolant into the cylinder. Thats the exact effect when the motor has a bad head gasket and they are using that as the excuse not to cover it. Coolant should never be in the cylinder unless it has a bad head gasket - yet they denied the claim because it has coolant in the cylinder and has been burnt. Well obviously if anything goes into the cylinder while the motor is running its going to get burnt its the combustion chamber. They wont listen to anything and said that I can dispute it but it will likely be denied again and you can only dispute it once. The agreement clearly states that gaskets are covered yet they are refusing to cover this based on evidence that a gasket has failed.Review fromTopG

Been with CarShield since February got it to protect my self financially incase a break down and cant make it around. My car couldnt start on July 31st so I got it towed to one of there partnered shops same day to start a claim I have been calling weeks straight in August asking where we at in the process said still waiting on shop. Waited said ok wait another week still waiting on shop got tired of calling so I waited until September same thing still waiting on shop on September 26 telling me yeah need another diagnosis to prove its the engine after first diagnosis. Well got frustrated thinking yeah I am not getting my car back until 2025 with no way to get around to work with trying to pay ***** rent, car note and insurance was thinking its costing me too much I am loosing money going, had to default on the car got repoed at the shop. Now I am potentially getting sued for a New engine from the leasing company!American Auto Shield, LLC

To whom this may concern I would not recommend this place of business, I've been trying to obtain my reimbursement for five months now and all I have got is excuse after excuse and the run around. I uploaded my receipts as i was informed to do so. and I would get my refund for my left window motor I still have yet to receive it. A customer service representative by the name of ******** **** up on me excuse me of doing acts that in which I did not do defamation! she stated that i took parts to a repair facilitate and had them install the parts and tried to contact them to get a reimbursement. I am so upset that i have been trying to obtain my reimbursement for five months that has cause me a great deal of stress and pain. I been a loyal customer for 4 to 5 years in this is the out come. I was sent to a repair shop by car shield that just took my ***** dollars for a misdiagnosis of my driver side window, the *** said it was the switch but turns out to be the window motor that is cover under my warranty. So I went into another shop to get my window repaired and it was the window motor which i paid ****** for they are not trying to refund my money back. I spoke with muilple customer repersentive and they said that i would receive my refund when i called today I was giving the run round again and was told differnt things now I am waiting on a supervisor call again.American Auto Shield, LLC

Car shield and American auto shield You will make you jump through an insane amount of run around. Nothing is ever really covered you always pay out of pocket. And also prepare to not have your vehicle for weeks. Youll get a rental but still pay a portion of it. Not worth it. **************** from both Car ********************** and ********************** is horrible. Update I had another horrible experience they just lost a law suit were they need to pay due to false advertisement. My engine is not covered even though the advertisements say they are. I have all service records nothing I caused or could've prevented the engine failure and now I'm stuck with the bill no resolutions. they will find loop holes and ways to get out of paying any amount of money. STAY AWAY!!! BUYER BEWARE. NOTHING AMERICAN ABOUT THIS COMPANY.Stay away they don't honor their contracts. They are long to respond and. They are very friendly to get your business, once they take your money and an issue arises, they will not stand by you. They will come up with a reason to not approve the repair and they when you ask for proof of the denial, they will send you to the mechanic who they recommended to obtain the proof. At the end of the day, they could provide why they are ******* the repair and why would I have to deal with the mechanic when I am Car Shields customer. When asked how I appeal this decision rep told me to review my contract. UNSAT **************** is all aspects STAY AWAY BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!American Auto Shield, LLC
