      Absolutely unreal how BS this company gives someone when a paying customers needs repairs done for a COVERED part, as another party below stated... They will find every loophole to not cover you. Nor will they give you copies of the reports for your own vehicle. Example- I asked one of there employees today how do they determine they won't cover something, the response.... "It would depend on what the shop finds and you would be surprised how much they can tell" I then asked how would tie rods be covered when they breakdown? The response..." well, if it was broken due to a pot hole, that wouldn't be covered because that a collision incident. Or it the part had a missing bolt and/or s**** Or if the part rusted out." OK. So you mean to tell me, that I have coverage from a covered breakdown and it wouldn't be covered even though a broken tie-rod is a breakdown? Unreal. For the record, my tie rods are not broken, I was just asking for an example and that was the response I got. Please do not waste your time or money with anything from this company. Complete fraud and will constantly find a loophole.

      Financially devastating!!! They ordered a rental car from a well known rental company for me during my A/c repairs but they had no cars anywhere were available. I called to let them know know, They assured me I would not have to come out of pockets for the rental and would be reimbursed. When I made the claim the amou they agreed to was 1/3 of what I paid. When I asked they said they pay $100 a day for 7 days. I was under that . I used priceline to make sure I was not going over the rental reimbursement cost. The total was $666 for 8 days. They only approved $220. They did not budge. The ** went out again and I took it in two days after Hurricane *****. It was sent to a restoration facility for a fender ****** after the storm and the facility found the issue with the A/c and it was not related to the fender ******. I called car shield they said they would cover it since it A/c . I gave them name of facility and my repair advisor. No one ever called me back to tell me it was not taken care of so I got blind sided with another $538 for the A/C. I am still waiting for my $220 Rental car reimbursement and now out of $538 because they denied the claim when I turned in for reimbursement even though they assured me it would be covered under my A/ C policy. I take care of my handicapped mother, mentally ill brother and my two girls one in college and other a junior in high school. They do not care about the financial damage they cause hiding behind loopholes instead of doing what's right!!! I pay $189 per month to this unscrupulous company.. Please read and stay far away from them!?

      This company is absolute trash! My car has been in the shop for 3 weeks, and Carshield sent over a part that doesnt fit. When I needed to extend my rental, the representative was rude and said they wouldnt do it even when it was CARSHIELDS fault for sending overs part that didnt fit.

      THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!! Dont want to reimburse for rental, and for me to have a $100 deductible, they dont tell you , they dont pay taxes or other fees they deem isnt covered!!!!! So I paid $1500 out of pocket , not to mention they DIDNT reimburse me for my rental , so add another $300+ dollars !!!!! Then y hand a warranty if these hidden loop holes they try to find to avoid paying!!!!!!!! TRUST ME TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!

      They did not honor my contract when I had 70 days of coverage and 250 miles drove. They told me I actually needed to drive through 250 miles, therefore they denied the claim to get my truck fixed. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BEWARE!

      The WORST! They talk a good game when selling you the extended car warrenty, but when it's time to fix the car THEY DON'T COVER HARDLY ANYTHING! They say, $100 deductable, but I just got a repare that was supposed to be covered and now I'm paying $340. When getting the warrenty, I asked specifically does it cover the air-ride syspension system in the ******* Equus and they said yes. But when the system went out, they said the air ride system was part of a strut which is not covered. DO NOT BUY THIS POLICY.

      Very Poor Customer Experience!! From July *************, For my claim claim # ******* I was consistently deceived by CarShield/American Auto Shield reps regarding the status of them scheduling an inspector to view my car in a repair shop causing massive delays between the repair of my car, massive inconveniences for me and my family, and a lot of my time and money wasted with the lack of professionalism and **** poor customer service. When you try to call to get a status update you get different answers despite them claiming that they leave notes of the conversations for each call. There is no way to speak to manager/supervisor if a situation needs to be escalated. Their rental process is flawed and during my claim i had to call multiple times for them to try to cover the extension of the 7 day rental period despite them being the reasons that caused the delay. Even then I still had to end up paying over $200 out of pocket. When I ask on their processes for customer to send complaints I was lied to by the customer reps surrounding the options. *************************/********************** is not worth trouble for the amount of money their protection plans costs. This situation has caused me to see how truly unprofessional they really are.
