I have used armis home warranty for about 2 years on my refrigerator washer dryer. I've paid $79.99 a month for about 2 years.February of 2023 I filed on my refrigerator to get a repair. During 2022 my sister-in-law passed away due to covid leaving behind a down syndrome child who was supposed to die at the age of eight because of being so medically fragile as well as another daughter who also is medically fragile and has autism. Taking on these two was a huge change in my lifestyle. I do have my own child as well at my house. I have so many serious things to deal with including my own trouble with covid and going into septic shock. So it was the last thing I needed when my refrigerator broke down. I was so glad that I had this warranty that I have had for so long. I made the report in February of 2023. I had two different refrigerator repair companies out. Both of the repair men explain to me that they had told Armis it would be cheaper just to replace my refrigerator. I had an agreement with armis that I would pay a one time $65 copay. I had to pay a $65 copay at first then another $65 copay then an $80 copay then $125 copay. Armis had claimed that when they close my case at the end I would be reimbursed all but the initial $65.Here I am it's Easter tomorrow March of 2024. I still have no refrigerator. I cannot afford to feed these kids breakfast lunch and dinner from a fast food restaurant everyday for over a year. Unfortunately a few weeks ago I had to take my niece to the hospital and she was suffering from food poisoning. I have repeatedly called armis I have begged I have pleaded. I cannot afford them to take their $79.99 every month from me and all these co-pays. Apparently the claims adjuster has stated that it doesn't matter unless I pay another $125 copay for an additional CO2 test. they are not going to go ahead with the repairs over a year with no refrigerator. They are absolutely no help and they are a scam. They text me for their moneyBusiness Response

I am filing this complaint for reimbursement for a HVAC air condition unit that I had to pay for because Armis will not honor the contract. I presented this company with several documents from professionals who checked the unit and concluded that the compressor had failed because of longevity(22 years old) and that this unit uses freon 22 which is no longer available. The customer service rep. refuse to accept all diagnoses and instituted their own diagnoses that the unit had a leak that wasn't found even though it was never inspected by Armis or an agent of the company. I pray that a resolution to this matter is possible, I will provide documents if needed.Business Response

In 2023, I signed up with HomeSafe, a home appliance/systems warranty company, through the CarShield company. My house was built in 1996, so upcoming HVAC issues would not be a surprise, hence why I purchased their service. We're now in March 2024, and the inside portion of my HVAC unit (in a closet) is leaking.I call the service, and they transfer me to ARMIS Home Warranty to file the claim and find a provider.Imagine my surprise when I'm told that they DON'T HAVE a list. We're just supposed to contact providers they "have worked with in the past." None of whom will take ARMIS business any more. This is more than bad business practice; this, on a large scale, could and should be considered fraud.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The only email I've received says now that any servicer could be chosen by me and that I'm supposed to call and tell them the charges before work begins.
EXCEPT THAT'S NOT WHAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE SAID. I was to "ask if they take ARMIS" (which none of the ones referred to me did).
Completely unacceptable business model.

Date 1/09/2024 Amount ***** Heat exchanger and repair Gas pack Roll out switch ******* My mother has armis and they convinced her to get me to switch over to their home warranty company. Ive waited in the cold since the end of December with a one year old child because if I get it fixed they wouldnt pay. My child has been sick multiple times staying with friends just to get us through the cold nights just for them to tell me they found out it was under warranty and couldnt be covered. I sent a document showing that is wasnt under warranty and now they tell me it was there mistake it isnt under warranty but the Gas pack is rusted and cant be covered. The unit is 18 years old because the flame rolls out on the unit it causes it swell and sweat which causes it to crack. Also it causes leaks that can cause rust is what I explained. It still works I need to replace it with a new gas pack. They will not honor it. Its frustrating because I asked before we switched what was covered and heater was in it. How am I supposed to know the contents of my heater. Home warranty is a scam for large products and everyone refuses to transfer me to a supervisor. My daughter and I remained sick through the holidays and this is the thanks we get for switching to Armis. The worse thing is I have my Car with Car shield which is also Armis I need to switch immediately. Ive never experienced such horrible customer service and they never call you back. I was working with another company to get the estimate for my heater they told me Armis is the worst to have and good luck getting them to pay. The new company Im using to get my heater fix told me dont even bother with Armis you will never get them to pay. This is sad.?? I also have recordings of me trying to get through to a supervisor. They had me send pictures the company sent pictures they were looking for a reason to say no.Business Response

I filled a claim in August 2023 H544096 and it was denied after armis had agreed to pay when they talked to the technician who did the work. When I needed to replace the compressor I got nothing but reasons not to pay for it. I am rejecting this response because: The business agreed to pay for the compressor after speaking with the technician who did the work when I reached out too them I got a lot of excuses none of them from the technician who did the work. the technician told the business that age and unusual hot weather was the cause of the problem. I dont see how a person sitting in an office is more knowledgeable about what happened than a technician doing the work.

On 12/23/23, I called to get service for any electrical issue I was having, spoke with a rep explained and received a claim number SR-****** and info on a contractor they gave me to use, I called and the contractor came and made the repairs, when I sent in the invoice they denied it claiming there was no cause when the invoice clearly stated that I had bad neutral wiring, I asked the contractor for a more detailed invoice and sent it in and now they are stating I was supposed to contact them prior to the work starting, which was never told to me, in fact I had an earlier claim for a similar issue and I did the exact same thing and they reimbursed me quickly, I am guessing because that amount was only $450 and this new one is $2,500. No one answers my emails, and when calling I get the same responses and when asked to speak to a Supervisor or the adjuster who denied it they say yes they will put in a request for a call and I am still waiting for the adjuster well over a week and a half. A Supervisor called but it was like speaking to a rep, no help, also the main company website has a dispute form which I've filled out every day for a month and no reply.Business Response

I filed a claim to recoup the money we paid to have our Washing Machine repaired. The claim (SR123945) was filed on the same day as the repair on December 9, 2023, along with the invoice and paid receipt. I called Armis today (1/17/24) to discuss the issue and ****** from Armis **************** said that the first check needed to be voided and a new check sent. I joined Armis Home Protection Plan. After I was unable to get any hot water, I called them. They, in turn, sent out a plumber, who gave an estimate for a new hot water heater of $1,700. When I told the company, they said it was too high. They then told me to find a plumber, have them do the work and then send the bill to Armis. I then found a plumber who replaced the water heater for $700. When I sent the paid invoice in, they gave me the runaround. They finally said they would pay $550. This was not what the representative told me. He absolutely told me to get a plumber and to pay the bill and they would reimburse me for the full amount. I would like them to pay me the $700 that is due me.Business Response
