      Red dot is a storage company that provides a lock gate storage for their clients. In return the clients pays the rates that's stated by company. I rented a unit at the beginning of Sept. The first day I rented unit. I paid helpers to move. Put everything in uhal and went to location. After making it to location we could not get in site because the access code didn't work. By time we got the call through the company was close. So we had to pay for a extra day with uhal and had to pay extra for help for a day. I was provided a access code and was told that it will be escalated to get fix. Long story short I visited unit about 6 times and everything I called I had to wait outside gate for at least 15 min to get a temporary code and everytime I was told that it would be escalated. The last time was last Fri I need to get in storage before work to get paper work for a client. Same issue. I belive I paid for a service that was not provided to me being that I waisted alot of time and money just to access gate. And to this date I still don't have a code that's work. I moved everything out and bought a storage house. I Paid double what I would have paid at any other company because of moving fees. I would like a full refund for services.

      I received an e-mail today about a rate increase starting in November. I cant afford that!!!!! I am disabled, and am in debt over $10,000.00!!!!! I live on a very, very fixed income!!!! After I get paid on the third of the month, I have to purchase money orders to pay my past due bills, my monthly bills, put away money for gas, and other necessities, and then I am left with about $20.00 to my name!!!! This rate change is going to kill me!!!! I will be left with nothing!!!! I am 62 years old, and I have no one to help me out here!!!!!!! These a******* dont care!!!! My Dad passed away in February, and I wish I was the one who died!!!! I am NOT financially well off, and wont ever be financially well off!!!

      I have 2 units at Red Dot Storage 10x10 on hwy 59 in ***************************** I pay ****** a month for the 2. I have contacted them about the ** unit above my unit leaking twice since they have taken over and never filed a claim, and now after checking on it, it has had a backup from the **s hose that exploded onto my belongings. Yesterday I had a meeting with ***** the maintenance man 9/30/22 and showed him the damage and he took pictures and I had as well prior. He said he would be turning in the incident report and that I would be hearing back from the company. A day later 9/31/22 I get two emails stating that my rent will be increased by ***** on each one . When I had contacted Red Dot to confirm my coverage last week upon my findings of the damage, they said that unit 127 had min. Coverage of ******* that they have been charging me for, but unit 123 that is in question had homeowners. I told them I dont have homeowners and If I had wouldnt it make sense that I would have both covered by a homeowners policy. The new maintenance man ***** said that he fixed the air conditioners there and I told him it was about time, because I am paying for Climate Control so my belongings do not mold only to find loads of mold on my things. They didnt have the decency to notify me of problem that occurred.

      Instead of red dot contacting me about resolving the damage caused by their air  conditioner unit they send me notices of increasing my rental rates by ***** next month. They need to be stopped. I know this is ILLEGAL! They DID NOT notify me of their unit leaking water on my belongings OR the pipe EXPLODING on my things I have stored at red dot.

      july 21 22 I been sending my payments on time,they claim that they have not gotten them.Ive reached out to them several times and could not resolve the issue.They even sent the one payment back claiming it was not the full amount.Then they tag additional fees and want me to pay the full amount.If they had cashed my checks on time I would be in this situation.The storage place before was so easy to get along with.

      On September 9th, 2021, I rented a unit at the **** ** location. When I opened the unit that day as I lifted the retractable door, spiders rained down on me from the inside of the door! The unit had not been cleaned Before I took over the unit. I thought I managed to get all the spiders off me, but one was able to bite the left side of my face in my jawline during the chaos. a few hours after the initial bite, the whole left side of my face had swollen to where my eye was closed and the swelling was pushing on my ear canal. I was dizzy and had to call ***************************, to take me to the ** because I couldn't drive. There was a 3 hour wait, so we called my PCP about what to do, He called in a heavy antibiotic for me to start immediately. ******* and I called Red Dot Storage about what to do and the lady on the phone gave us no resolution. I had to ***** the bitewound myself to relieve the pressure from the swelling because of the wait at the **, I had to continue this process for months while the antibiotics handled the infection. I continually called RDS with still no help from their customer service employees. My doctor had to refer me to a plastic surgeon who had to repair the damage done by the spider bite, and now I've been left with a visible 2 inch scar on my face, that I had to grow a ***** to try and hide. I Still never recieved a response to the incident from RDS, or any insurance company that represents them. This has already been presented to my lawyer ******************* whose contact information I can provide. ************** stated that he has made multiple attempts over the last few months to contact RDS with no response either. this Is 1 of 3 complaints I'm filing against Red dot storage. This was the first injury sustained on their property. There was another injury on September 22nd, 2021. Which I will document in my 2nd complaint.The picture uploaded was a couple of hours after the initial bite.
