I canceled my ESPN+ subscription according to the instructions given. However, my credit card continued to be charged. We had to cancel our credit card in order for the payments to stop. We called the 1-800 number on the ESPN website to speak to someone about this issue as we want to receive a refund for the months of charged to my credit card. After 2 hours on the phone, I have received no answers. Instead, I was put on hold, never to have anyone get back to me. I called back and asked to make sure my subscription was canceled. I was hung up on. I called back and asked for a customer service email but was given an email for media only. i called back again, asked to get a refund and was hung up on. I have never had so many issues from any customer support service. Never again will a spend any money on a subscription to anything ESPN/Disney. They are no better than scammers and will be turned into my credit card company as such.

I subscribed to ESPN + but when I wanted to cancel the subscription, the website had clear instructions on where to click to do so but when you arrived on the "Manage Subscription" page, it offered no way to do it. When I tried to call their customer service number, I only get a live sports cast and I waited for 30 minutes with nothing but that. This company is purposefully denying its subscribers a way to cancel their service. DO NOT subscribe!

I am shocked to see that so many people have experienced what we are experiencing. We have called ESPN to cancel a subscription that we did not even know existed. Apparently, after ESPN magazine stopped publication, they rolled us into a digital subscription. When they raised the price to $100, we finally caught it on our credit card statement. We have tried multiple times to get this resolved with ESPN. We can see the charge on our credit card statement, but they claim that they do not see it on our account. Then, they say that a manager has to issue the refund and cancel the account, but they can never find a manager that can speak to us. We are now working with our credit card company and have filed a complaint with the BBB. I cannot believe that such a well-known company can treat people this way. As far as I am concerned, ESPN has stolen from us.

Terrible company. Hold times for problem resolution is crazy. They bill me but cannot find account. Trying to cancel , but cannot even get a supervisor on the line. Zero stars. Makes me not want to even watch ESPN. Never give ESPN your credit card.

THOUGHT I cancelled ESPN on Nov. 11, 2022. they accepted my cancellation, notifying me by email. I've continued to be billed for Dec. and now January. I was unable to RE-CANCEL via computer - sent to various sites, difficult to follow instructions, etc. etc. FINALLY found telephone number for customer service: first try - 'number out of service'. second try, same number - got a person who did ascertain that my subscription had not been cancelled. After a hold of 5 minutes, I was notified that I was cancelled.

There is no way to cancel the subscription and they continue to charge your credit card. ESPN is a financial scam. I called the ESPN 1 888 number and they just gave me the run around. Scam service.

To add to the other awful reviews, i had nothing but issues when I signed up for ESPN+. Tried to watch our swimmer in the ********* swim meet with us being across the country. Set up an account and paid the monthly fee only to get a message that we were denied access to the content even after signing into our provider. Tried every which way to get access through the TV, laptop, or cell and had no luck. Before someone pays, there should be a prompt to see if there is accessibility in a specific area. It’s crazy that we live near a few large cities and have no access. Already canceled service. Will be trying to get a refund which I can imagine will be another issue (especially since they make their contact info hard to find).

I'd give negative stars if I could. The service was okay but when I went to cancel my subscription there was no way to do it, I followed the directions in the FAQ's which led me to the 'Manage My Account' page where I was supposed to be able to cancel my account. I was shown the status of my account, the next billing date, and the current balance, that's it. There was no 'Cancel' option. I had to call the support line to get my account canceled, Preventing customers from managing/canceling their own account should be illegal. Shame on ESPN.

Absolutely terrible experience!! Bought an ESPN+ subscription for my father for Christmas. Disney sent me a confirmation email, confirming payment and an order number. When we went to activate account it would not work. I am over 1 hr into phone call with customer service who cannot solve the problem. I've asked that they cancel my order and refund my credit card. They are refusing to do so without talking to a supervisor (we've been holding for over 10 minutes for a supervisor).

I signed up for ESPN+ for the monthly $9.99 subscription. However, ESPN has charged me for a full year at $99. On chatting with ESPN the agent helpfully told me nothing can be done. I can't understand how a behemoth organization cannot make a simple correction - $99 may be peanuts for you but it is not to me.
