      I had Hartford insurance on my vehicles for years. A person ran into me, I called Hartford, got my vehicle to the shop, paid $1000 out of pocket to get the fix started. After that my rates almost doubled. Called and asked why, well you were involved in a wreck. That's true, but Hartford insurance did not spend a penny on the accident, and not my fault. I asked hartford if i could get reimbursed for vehicle time lost? Hartford told me that it was up to me to check with the other insurance company on that issue. Thanks (not). So i called the person that hit me insurance company and they were great and reimbursed me for my vehicle that was out of service. OK now it took many phone calls and a full year before I received my $1000 back. So I'm looking for different insurance, they all came up with I had a wreck. Not my fault, but Hartford had it was. Called them to change that, well they can't do that but they can send me a letter that said it wasn't my fault. Not much good doing online checks. So Hartford will take your money, they don't like to pay out and any incursion on them will cost you a lot more.

      No stars, denied FMLA for my father until he passed. Got a letter postdated two weeks earlier. Absolutely a garbage company that loves screwing over people. I wish nothing but the worst for these horrible, lazy and utterly useless people.

      My tiny Mazda 6 sedan was slammed head on by a freight truck while I was stopped at a stop sign on September 27th. The driver almost crushed me, and if he had drove any further would have certainty crushed my body to pieces. I filed a third-party claim with the trucks insurer (The Hartford), to get my unsafe car fixed, which has a displaced bumper and dangling taillight.
      After over 30 phone calls that went nowhere, ignored voice mails, and repetitive rude encounters, I managed to not hear from my adjustor (Mary R********) for over a month. I was hung up on by their insurance agents on 5 separate occasions, told my claim did not exist, and that I would be given a call back, but never was. After almost 2 months, someone named Nick reached out to me to inform me that they needed to "verify coverage" on the truck that hit me. Granted the accident was almost 2 months ago, they should have long since done that. Regardless, a massive dairy company with over 5 farms across the state of Connecticut certainly has coverage on leased vehicles. I work in the transportation industry so I know how these things work. If their vehicle wasn't insured that's a massive liability for a multi-million dollar company.
      Several ignored voicemails and failed phone calls later, I finally hear from Mary Rosenbaum on November 11th. She revealed to me that she still has not reviewed the police report from the accident!! To make matters worse, she refused to give me the name and number of her supervisor and rudely hung up in my face! Adamant to not let this slide, I called back and another agent picked up. The agent told me that Rosenbaum's supervisor does not have a phone number on file. This is the kind of customer service I have received from a billion dollar insurance company. Inexcusable.
      Never would have thought that in order to get my car fixed from an accident that's not my fault I'd have to contact a lawyer, the state insurance department, and attorney general of CT.

      Stay away from Hartford Insurance Company
      I would not recommend to Hartford Insurance Company
      My house was insured by Hartford Insurance Company. My Roof was damage by the storm. We were referred to Hartford Insurance of The Mid West by AARP as a member of AARP. Hartford Insurance Hired ***** Company. **** Company suggested to Hartford Insurance to patch my Roof.
      I would have had to pay it out of pocket at no cost to Hartford Insurance Company.
      My neighbors their homes had new Roof by their insurance company. None of my neighbors are insured by Hartford Insurance Company.
      I was always in good standing with the Hartford Insurance financial department I paid my insurance payment in full and on time. They said I am valuable customer.
      I cancelled Hartford Insurance, and AARP Membership
      I replaced a new Roof out of pocket.
      The Hartford Insurance is the worse company. STAY AWAY FROM HARTFORD INSURANCE COMPANY. ** **

      Worst insurance EVER! I paid my entire 6 months up front. Then they bill me half way through for more! I call and thought I handled it , but then they just canceled me with no notice. Took lots of fees they won’t refund. They should pay me 3 times back what I paid for this policy due to all the aggravation! They had me driving without insurance with no warning!

      I had my car insured by the Hartford. A woman slammed her car into the back of my car totaling it. Even though I did not file my accident with the Hartford and the accident was not my fault, the Hartford raised my insurance rates because they are allowed to do so by law. This is a law pushed through by the insurance lobbyists. It is not fair to the consumer. The legislators were bowing to the rich insurance companies above the average consumer. The law allowing insurance companies to raise the rates of the innocent victims should be removed.

      I had auto insurance with this company for a year. When it was time to renew my insurance I cancelled and got insurance with another company. The reason was because the policy had increased by a large amount. I had never submitted a claim. About a month later I received a statement in which they are trying to collect $159.00.
      When I called they said it was for expense's for me cancelling a day early.
      DON'T Purchase insurance with Hartford from AARP. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT CHEATS AND CROOKS!!!!

      HARTFORT INSURANCE GROUP are nothing but THIEVES and LIARS!!!They LIE about being the cheapest insurance company for your age when you PAY MONTHLY FOR AARP!!!They CLAIM they offer accident forgiveness but after 25 yrs NO ACCIDENTS or TICKETS and having a CLASS B CDL LICENSE I had and ACCIDENT and my RATES WERE ALMOST DOUBLED!!! I'm 58 yrs old and I supplied my information above and they were charging me $98.00 for LIABILITY ONLY!!!I was involved in and accident and they raised my rate to $178.00 a month CLAIMING EVERYONE had a rate increase PLUS I had and accident that why it is so high!!!BUT I asked about my ACCIDENT FORGIVENESS I PAY FOR and they told me I DON'T PAY FOR IT when I said I wanted and that is why I didn't QUESTION the $98.00 a month when I started with them!!!So they LIED!!!There APP is out dated and looks like a CHILD made it and the INFORMATION is NEVER CORRECT!!!!So I been paying a rate for COVERAGE I DIDN'T HAVE for over a year and ALSO PAY for AARP that is suppose to save me money and DOESN'T SO MORE LIE'S!!!THIS COMPANY IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST PIECES OF **** I ever DELT with!!!!DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!!

      This has got to be the worst company I've ever dealt with. Your employee Edward S**** is so lazy and full of excuses. It took him two months to reach out to me about your client's damage to my car because he said he had the incorrect information. There is no way you received the incorrect email and phone. Also when you send an email, it gets bounced back immediately when it's invalid. After finally reaching out to me, I immediately sent him the information he needed. One week goes by with no response so I am the one reaching back out to him. He then lets me know he received my email but the attachments weren't showing. Why didn't he let me know immediately when my email said please see the attachments? You need to let Edward S**** go because he is making your company look horrible.

      NO Stars.
      I was a customer for 10 plus years ,called recently to make an inquiry about my policy , after speaking with customer service rep , I didnt like what I was hearing ,I clearly stayed several times to NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO MY POLICY, Well she took it upon herself to send info to underwritten who then thought they had the right to had 4 more people onto my policy ,I questioned why , she stated they have there ways of finding out stuff and can do what they want to ..Then we are left fighting to try to correct it. I WONT EVER RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING.....
