I wish I could give this piece of crap company zero stars. I recently had surgery and I had to jump through hoops to get 75% of my salary. My doctor extended my FMLA and it is crickets from this joke of a company! Do they not realize people have bills to pay? Filing a complaint with the state attorney general next!

In September, 2024, I filed a workers compensation claim with Hartford Insurance for work related psychiatric disability (severe depression caused by the work environment). Shortly after filing the claim, Jennifer M***** one of Hartford's claim adjusters who is located in Folsom, CA, called me to work on my claim. We discussed my situation and instead of sending me to a mental health practitioner for evaluation, Ms. ***** had me go the following day to urgent care to see a workers compensation general practitioner. I waited for more than 2.5 hours before I was seen and when I finally saw the doctor, she told me she did not work with mental health issues but she would put in her report that I should get a second opinion so that I could be evaluated by a mental health provider. The doctor released me back to work pending an appointment with my PCP who took me off of work status. When I spoke to Ms. ***** again, she was very dismissive and made it sound like this claim was not going to be approved. In that conversation, I once again asked about being referred to a mental health care practitioner but got nowhere. After going to urgent care and my conversation with Ms. Mosby, I felt worse. A few days later, I received a voice mail message from Ms. ***** that the claim was closed. She did not give a reason and did not offer the opportunity to appeal. Unfortunately, people who work in toxic work environments can sometimes become depressed and are not taken seriously. This is how I felt I was treated with Ms. Mosby. I would hate to see other people go through what I went through. People with mental health issues need to be taken seriously, get the help that they need and not be dismissed.

The Hartford is my *** group disability benefits insurer. In 2019, the insurer faxed requests to my doctors to obtain 270 days of medical records prior to joining my employer to review them for a pre-existing condition. However, the *** group Policy only permitted that their insurer obtain 180 days of records. It appears that the insurer deliberately breached the Policy terms. In 2020, the insurer paid *** Peer Review Services, owned by ********* **, a *** Financial Audit Client, to fabricate and fax « peer documents ». These ***. « Peer documents » contain(ed) false, deceptive, unfactual assertions that cannot be substantiated. They also conceal(ed) material facts in my proof of loss claim records. The « Peers » did not demonstrate that they knew my *** own occupation nor its essential duties in order to determine my benefits eligibility. On 4/23/20, The Hartford sent me a fraudulent, false claims benefits denial notice, an ***** Title 1 document, that falsely denied that I was eligible for benefits, when in fact, I was. I was unaware that The Hartford, PwC’s Fiduciary, paid ***** Audit Client for the fraudulent « peer documents ». Three of my Médical Providers received the false *** « peer documents » and contested their legitimacy. I was harmed when the Insurer defrauded me of benefits in 2020. After they were reinstated, three years later, Hartford Fiduciary Agents began sending more false claims emails and letters in an attempt to defraud me of the remaining benefits. The fraudulent emails and letters contradicted and concealed material facts in my September 2023 Attending Physician Statement and falsely asserted that I could return to work.
I have repeatedly asked their Fiduciary Agents, via letters, to please stop violating the Law to harm me, but they will not cease and desist. They have been relentless. They send unfactual, meritless emails and letters denying their crimes that are materially evidenced in the claim records.

I can see I'm joining many others with issues with The Hartford. My experience was more of the same. I chose them as an **** member because I thought it would help. I was wrong. I set up my Home and Auto bills on Autopay until I realized they charged me $8 monthly to put it on my card. I tried to change to a bank account withdrawal with a cheaper fee and although my home payment worked, the auto didn't. I was cancelled for nonpayment. I called, explained the situation to an agent, gave her my bank account number and thought I was set. Apparently, even though they had my account number for my home plan they couldn't duplicate it on the auto. They cancelled me again and refused to reinstate me. I found a cheaper plan with no charges attached to my payments, so I guess they did me a favor. Nevertheless I question why **** endorses this company and they should reconsider, especially after the reviews I've seen here and other websites. Seniors Beware!

My homeowners insurance was cancelled for a claim that their agent to me to file. We have mold in our house we discovered when doing waterproofing. I called and asked if it was covered under our insurance. She said yes so we filed a claim. The claim was denied so we paid to have the mold removed on our own. Two months later they cancelled my insurance saying I was aware of the mold prior to purchasing the insurance. I only filed the claim because they said it would be covered!

No idea what they are talking about. Making medical decisions via personnel that have never met or interacted with (even virtually) patients. My wife has been completely screwed post-pregnancy and somebody needs to investigate this monstrosity of 'company'.

The Hartford Insurance company is a woke DEI company that doesn't represent the interest of its customers but only it's profits.
I had proof that a contractor that I hired was at fault when he forced his way into my yard through a locked 5 foot high fence and was bit by my dog.
I told the contractor like as before that to call me a day ahead of time so I could be home to put my dog inside and UNLOCK the gate.
I had phone records, the dog warden also was on record saying that my dog wasn't aggressive.
Their lazy lawyer David Mathis didn't even take it to court to prove that the contractor KNOWINGLY PUT HIMSELF IN HARMS WAY.
And instead they offered the contractor $70k for a simple dog bite.
      Like I said.
This is a WOKE DEI company that isn't representing you or the insurance industry and is only interested in using other people's money to pay off liers and fill their own pockets as they kick you to the curb.
Ship around don't support this company.

This Company, associated with ***** is best described as bait and switch operation. They quoted an auto insurance policy for a 1 year period with no PIP coverage. After 6 months they changed the term to 6 months and added PIP at a cost of $566.00 per year. To omit PIP requires proof of Social Security medical and medical insurance coverage. The papers needed for PIP omission were omitted. Hartford dragged their feet on sending me any paperwork. And, in the meantime the time to pay for coverage expired. Result my policy was cancelled (This was my fault). The point here is when a policy is cancelled there is a 12 month waiting period to be reinstated. Based on the rating of this company they did me a favor.
I now understand why Hartford continuously floods my mail with gift promotions.

Does not follow policy and denies claims even when disabled.
