I've had Traveler's Ins for years; e.g. home and auto and I have been pleased for most of those years, However, a couple of years ago, they up and canceled a home policy with no reason. I have excellent credit and I've always paid my premiums on time. When I inquired, no reason was given and they didn't seem to really care.
I have moved all my policies to another insurance company except auto and I'm getting ready to move it. It seems each time I call, the person I am speaking with does not speak good English and will ask me to the same question 2-3 times. I don't mind working with people where English is not their first language, however, when you ask a customer a question, why not listen the first time? Customer service has went down hill fast the past 2 years. There are plenty of insurance companies that have good rate and better customer service. I suggest you shop around before settling on Traveler's.

I would give a zero if I could. No coverage on anything! Terrible communication and make you wait. These ratings are so bad. How can this company still be going. They cause so much stress.

with Travelers Insurance's handling of my recent claim. As a disabled veteran and loyal customer, I've paid hundreds of dollars in premiums every month, but when I had my first claim, parts of it were denied.
After a low-impact accident, my truck's tailgate, tonneau cover, and cargo divider were damaged. The repair shop recommended by Travelers confirmed the damage, but the insurance company denied replacing the tonneau cover and cargo divider, despite photo evidence and the shop's evaluation. It's unacceptable that they questioned my honesty, especially given my background as a Navy veteran and current aircraft inspector.
The $30 daily car rental allowance was woefully inadequate, leaving me to cover the difference out of pocket. I'm canceling my policy effective immediately and will be sharing my negative experience with others to warn them about the potential pitfalls of dealing with Travelers Insurance.
Lost a loyal customer over less than $2000. Unbelievable. Avoid Travelers Insurance at all costs.

Insurance fraud travelers insurance file claims under other people’s policies and then deny it and refuse to cancel and refund money.

      1. I received a Notice on Nonrenewal for my Home policy. Rationale: "insured property is located in a high brush exposure area". This is not true. My home is in ZIP *****, which is "not in a zone" according to the the ***** Fire Department chief, and per the State of ** Fire Hazard Severity Area map. I have lived here 40 years, with no fires in any of those years. I live in a private community with manicured lawns and groomed trees. There is no brush in area. There is a fire hydrant across the street from my house.
      2. To add insult to injustice, the underwriters said prior efforts to non-renew were not related to fire hazard = a lie - I still have their letters and my rebuttals. Furthermore, the underwriters say I am indeed in a high brush exposure area. They either did not look at the maps, or they lied to me.
      3. Finally, if Travelers wishes to not insure homes in *********** just say you will no longer insure homes in California. It lacks integrity to lie to your customers. I will be moving all of my policies to another insurance provider.

Made a claim through Travelers May 14th, and took my ******** to the preferred company ******* ********* ** ********* ********** took excessive photos for Travelers so they could depreciated the car and harass a total loss. They stop allowing me to use the rental even though ******* stopped my car from working while in their possession.Travelers was grateful to pay them $1300 into my claim for things ******* did without even fixing nothing on my claim and then a $325 tow fee to ******** dealership when the car sat at ******* for over 3 weeks not running or being repaired since June 2nd for the purpose of me bringing it and neither did ******* or Travelers communicate to me the car didn't start around May 20th.TRAVELERS waited until May 29th and contacted me to say my car is a total loss. They are aware that David K***** with ******* has been removed from the location I took my vehicle due to similar issues as the office manager explained to me and my fiance.Travelers want my car to be a total loss due to it's a 2013 Benz.My claim was about a pothole damaging my front right rim and my bumper.******* locked down my vehicle by an employee excessively steering the wheel left to right on the ground stationary, as if he was checking suspension, turned off the car with locked wheel excessively to the right and proceeded to take off the bumper and claim it was the bumper impact that made the car not start. The dealership has no indication that the bumper was the fault. $527 for the initial key to get for the car which I only used the Push start key for the 5 years I've had the car but the ignition key is now the only key sold and made for my vehicle plus all the sleepless nights TRAVELERS Erica C******* stating when asked to speak with her higher management Steve V., that she had no one above her 5 days prior to the rental return. And even though I cancelled the check 6 days ago, I still haven't got the $325 Zelle yet. No Communication from Erica,Chris Mc or Yvette or Regional

This is the worst experience to ever have with an insurance company. They are amatures at customer service, inept at insurance claim resolution and grand only at being a low level, third world agency type.
I would advice anybody planning to do business with this agency to avoid them. Do not patronize them.
I was forced to leave any star for them as they actually deserve none.

If I could leave a 0 I would. Insurance is such a racket why have it if you're just going to be dropped when you use it for its intended purpose? Yep, what travelers is all about. We filed legitimate claims (3) in the last 5 years. All of which were not caused by us. All of which were either flood damage related, or storm damage to our roof. So travelers in their great ability to help…dropped us….unexpectedly and without warning. This is unacceptable and leaves people in a bad way. What happened to grace or helping people especially when none of what occurred is intentional? What happened to loyalty? Now we're forced to find some none reputable company with higher premiums because travelers can't handle insurance claims and paying for damages.….which is what their supposed to do? If you're reading this travelers.…shame on you. I'd like an answer….. I get companies can drop you but is there not any grace for unintentional situations or things beyond our control? Ridiculous to me. No warning, no grace, no forgiveness (our auto insurance has been immaculate by the way…..)
Forget travelers, don't use them.… at all.

They are the worst insurance company ever. They send you to collection agency for dumping them and going to another insurance company. Do not hire this insurance company. You will regret it!!!
