I see all these bad reviews but I beg to differ from them. Travelers saved my business with insurance I did not even know I had. After my building here in ***** got hit with a tornado in May, the building had so much damage I could not operate my collision center any more. Just for the heck of it I called Travelers to see if I had coverage for no business and they said it was "iffy" but said they would cover my losses. The claims adjuster Tee and her counterpart Mario jumped in to help me and got me through the worst of it. They were very easy to deal with, sent me a check every month and reality saved me. I would also like to mention that being a collision center I deal with every insurance company to repair these cars and I rate Travelers in the top 5 for service and fair treatment. If any company deserves a good review it is Travelers. Disregard all the bad reviews, I do not believe them!! THANK YOU travelers TEE and Mario!!

Travelers dropped my house policy and forget to notify me. (Paid an annual premium in April, found later that Travelers rep who process the payment and told ne that everything OK never completed it)

I contacted Travelers insurance because I am an AMAC member and my Farmer's ins. rates have gotten too high. They would not cover me because my wife has a hobby working with stain glass, you know, those little 5-6 inch cardinals that you might hang in a window. The two Travelers agents that I talked to could not believe that the underwriters would refuse coverage because simple hobby. I felt like if they would say no to this, what could possible qualify? Certainly not a weight room, very dangerous. Probably no one with a lawn mower or snow blower, deadly motors. I know I'm getting out of hand, but I've never felt slighted like this before. Thanks for listening.

Horrendous experience trying to cancel my Travelers auto policy after having been a great customer with no claims or complaints for over 10 years. I called Travelers to cancel my auto policy at the end of the policy period as it had become ridiculously expensive in my opinion. I asked the Travelers representative if it would work to end the Travelers policy on the last day of the policy and begin my policy with the new company the following day and she said "yes" without question. She stated that since it was only about a week until the automatic payment for the month after the cancellation would be deducted from my bank account that the charges would be reversed as I would not have had any insurance with Travelers that month.
Low and behold, Travelers deducts that money from my bank account and no less than 5 Travelers representatives promised that I would be refunded the full amount, it was in process, it was just delayed and was in process, then $50 would be deducted from the refund as I went a day over the end of the policy period (which I did not), then more would be deducted from the refund due to a motor vehicle fee that no one had ever told me about, and on and on. I had my bank do an investigation and they took back the month's amount of insurance from Travelers and returned it to my bank account. I continued to receive harrassing emails from Travelers dispute resolution center that I continued to owe them money for the month after my auto policy had ended.
I had enjoyed having Travelers insurance for many years, though this experience trying to cancel an auto policy at the end of the policy period was a complete nightmare. I would not ever get Travelers insurance again even if it was free.

They are refusing to play for an accident one of their policy holders caused. My car was damaged by one of their policy holders and instead of them paying for my damage to my car and my medical bills they are giving my attorneys the run around. My accident happened in July and they keep giving me and my attorneys the run around. I am driving my car but there is significant damages to my car resulting from the accident which their policy holders caused. I need my car fixed. These people are the worst Insurance company there is and ever was. I wouldn't give them any stars if I had the choice. Horrible to deal with. Nobody knows anything and not understanding at all.

We decided to use Travelers as an insurance company for our home. We were with them for four years, never filed a claim and premium was always paid before the due date. Well a bad storm came through and because of the damage that was done I had to file a claim. After filing the claim they told me that my deductible was not met because of depreciation. Then Travelers required me to pay out of pocket to get the repairs done and send them the proof that it was done, which I did. After doing that Travelers then told me that I needed to put a gutter system on my house that cost upward of $13000. I asked them were they going to contribute to the gutter system and they replied that they were not. Then Travelers increased my premium by $2000 at renewal time and said it was because I filed a claim. This company is the worst! They want your money but when it's time for you to use the company for what it was intended for they penalize you. I will never do business with them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Oh and I gave them 1 star because they would not let me rate them any lower!

I was with travelers ins. For seven years and decided to help my daughter out by placing her on our auto policy with me and my wife. We added my daughter in june of 24 and the policy was going to be up for renewal in oct of 24. My daughter had a restricted license, that they ran a check and knew about when they added her. Because my daughter had some issues, our insurance rate went from 225 a month to 683 a month. We received the updated declaration page showing all of my daughter’s past offenses, so her driving history was well documented by travelers. In September of 24, a month before renewal, we received a letter of intent to non renew. The letter stated they had been trying to reach us but I received no email, or phone call from travelers. Just the letter saying we were being canceled. When I called my agent, they told us our daughter’s license was suspended which was the reason for the cancellation. I explained to her that our daughters had a restricted license that they documented on the declaration page and knew about when they added her. Then our agent said they must have misunderstood our daughters driving status. What? So why did our policy go up 462 dollars? Never got a real answer as to why they wouldn’t let us exclude our daughter and Insure just me and my wife. Nothing had changed in any of our driving statuses. My daughter had no new tickets or accidents in the four months she was on our policy. So WHY? 7 years, no tickets, accidents, rental car, road side assistance, tows. Only one claim for a windshield in 2019. Will never go back to them. I canceled all three cars and my motor home that same day I spoke with agent.

Traveler's Insurance has the worse Customer Service when dealing with claims. I am a current customer and was recently in a accident and was treated with the upmost disrespect from certain team members. I do not recommend them at all. I am waiting for my renewal date and definitely going some where else because God forbid I get in another accident I cannot deal with the lack of empathy from this company.

Absolutely appalling, both in terms of service and price. Just swapped to a company for a third of the price of Travelers
