      Home Serve, responded quickly to our service call. It took 3 days total from the time the service call was placed (day 1), the plumber arrived (day 2), ran snake with camera, and had septic tank drained (3). We were happy with they service.

      We found our HomeServe experience to be unreliable, unprofessional and ultimately unconcerned. Our home was without flush toilets, shower, laundry, dishwashing or water for pets for 3 days and 18 hours.
      It was nearly four days and after repeated calls to HomeServe's so-called 'Help Center' before HomeServe would be bothered to send out help for a rather simple repair. Our main waterline separated at the meter on Wednesday early afternoon, we called HomeServe immediately and had an appointment scheduled Thursday for 10-2. Inexplicably and quite unprofessionally, HomeServe's first scheduled plumber canceled on us. Ultimately, the plumbing team ********* ******** ********* that finally showed up Saturday was professional and restored water to our residence.
      With a funeral to attend Saturday morning, we were forced to book a hotel room Friday night for personal hygiene reasons after multiple days with no running water or common concern or attention from HomeServe. I intend to report our experience to the State's Attorney General office to inquire about revocation of HomeServe's business license after such poor and inadequate customer service. It would have been appreciated to hear "we are sorry" from HomeServe "and we will compensate you for hotel expenses," but we were told, "That is not in our policy." So disappointed in HomeServe's client relations. ****

      In order to use my warrantee I was told that I HAD to use their provider. The provider they required was Plugged N Electrics. This electrician lied to me about the job he would do, lied to me about when the job would be inspected, and left garbage all over the inside and outside of my home. As a result of my dissatisfaction with their required electrician, I have cancelled all remaining warrantees with Home Serve. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You have more control solving any problems you have yourself.

      HomeServe is a wonderful company. When I have a plumbing problem I call and they come and solve the problem every time. They are prompt on time or before which is good with me.

      Home Serve engages in deceptive business practices. I purchased a sewer line policy several years ago. Recently, my sewer line backed up into the house. As a responsible home owner I called a plumber who, after a great deal of effort, was able to open the line with a snake. I paid for this service. Given the amount of effort he expended doing so I filed a claim with home serve and they sent out a technician to video the entire sewer line. His video showed the presence of roots in the line and he wrote a quotation to repair the line. Home serve then sent out a second vendor who also videoed the entire line. Based on the second video they denied the claim indicating that as long as water moves through the line they were denying any claim against the policy. When I attempted to reason with them that sewer lines do not only carry liquid away from the house but also solids and as soon as I began sending solids down the line it was going to back up once again. They continued denying any action on their end. They would not even pay for the snaking of the line. I'm going to have the line repaired and it is going to cost me $15,000 to do so even though I had a home serve policy in place to cover just this type of expense. I find their business practices very disingenuous and deceptive.

      As Homeserve said they would, they contacted me about the review I provided above. Eugene repeated their justification for denial, only this time he further elaborated that as the roots presently growing in the line were growing into the upper portion of the sewer line they would not cause a "leak" in the line which would justify repair. I reiterate, they engage in deceptive business practices and would advise anyone looking for this type of service to look elsewhere.

      Came quickly, efficient, professional, took care of the problem. The only problem I have had prior to this repair is if we have a plumbing leak that is spurting water everywhere and we tape it up to prevent further damage. Since it is not longer spurting, they will not fix it.

      HS transferred my account to a company, ***** **** ********* that doesn’t have coverage in my city or in my state. I cancelled HS and told them not to transfer my business to ********* well before their deadline. ***** withdrew a premium the next month. I can’t get ***** to cancel the account and now have to do a stop payment through my bank. I don’t have any coverage, but they don’t seem responsive to their error. I think it’s a scam and will be making a complaint to the State AG’s fraud division.
