1 starClarus Commerce operates the shopHQ VIP program. this program is a scam, and fraudulent in some ways. They give you a 30 day free trial, and afterwards, charge $16.95 per month. it is advertised as giving you unlimited 5% cash back, unlimited shipping refunds and return shipping refunds for all purchases on shopHQs website, as well as 5% cash back from many other retailers like ******, *******, ******, up to $1000 per year, and shipping refunds from other non shopHQ retailers up to $500 per year total, and $10 per order maximum. Anyway, these people don't actually want you to receive big payouts from their shophq VIP program. they charge $16.95 per month for membership, but they are hoping that people either forget to submit their claims on time, or just don't submit claims or make purchases at all. because they want to make a profit. I made quite a bit of purchases from the shopHQ website, and ******, *******, amazon and ******. Initially, these guys approved all my 5% cash back claims and shipping refund claims. however, at the end of the month, I got an email from an agent named Joe, a manager named LaRae Turner, and they basically told me that because I made a large amount of purchases from the shophQ website, that they suspect I could be making purchases for non personal usage. this was purely speculatory and subjective, so they were basically suspicious that I bought a lot so I could be buying for non personal usage, and they then altered over $600 of approved cash back claims to a declined status, and told me my VIP account was being cancelled because they did not want to pay out my over $600 of claims. purely on their own suspicions, purely on the opinions of their agents with deprived childhoods, they basically did not want to pay out a large claim, so they refunded my $16.95 membership fee and told me theyre not paying the claim. so this is the catch to this program, they want people paying the fee, but don't want people making money off of it.Review fromKimberly C

Like so many other people here I must have clicked an offer for free shipping on *************** and now I've been paying $14.95 every month for the last six months and I can't figure out what I'm getting for that money. I'm still paying for shipping PLUS paying $14.95 a month. This is a scam pure and simple! There is no way to question this charge, no number to call, no chat available. This company has taken two unauthorized payments of $13.00 out of my bank. I have no idea who they are and can’t find a way to delete anything. Certainly a bad company. Some unsavory trick they must be using! If you see this name, run the other way!Clarus Commerce, LLC

I recently noticed a monthly charge of $16,95 which I didn't remember authorizing. Upon further investigation, I learned that it was likely an ad for free shipping that I inadvertently added to an order I place with FullBeauty. When I contacted them to explain the charge, they provided me with a customer service email address. That email was returned to me as "not found." I would like to cancel the membership which I don't remember authorizing, and receive at least the last month's charge. It shouldn't be possible to mistakenly sign up for something and then have no idea how to cancel it!Clarus Commerce, LLC

These frauds charged me at random after I made a purchase. I never signed up for this membership and yet they somehow managed to charge me $13!! And for what?? Luckily this was only the first time and (hopefully the last time) since I just now called and cancelled. I just looked up complaints about this company dating back to at least April 2011, why hasn’t this company been defunct yet? They clearly didn’t stop being a bunch of scammers after 11 years!Clarus Commerce, LLC

FRAUD PURE and SIMPLE This company manages to have retail companies offer a cash savings on a purchase. But in order to get the money your saving sent to you in the mail, you need to give them your name address ETC The odd part is a financial page is presented where you then divulge your financial info on your credit card. The scam comes in that in effect you have now signed up to have a membership in a scam called freeshipping . Com The problem is freeshipping is not free they wind up charging you 13.00 Dollars a month for some bogus plan that’s supposed to save you thousands of dollars a year. My set t have been a crooked genius that thought this one up. Also the retail company that presents the cash back offer in the first place is now crossed off my list of retailers to purchase from. I was more fortunate then some of the other people taken in. I realized a little late what the scam was about and spent a great deal of time to track this company down. Their own customer service people deny knowing who the owner of freeshipping is or where they are located or how to contact them to rectify the error you walked into. Scam artists. WHAT A SCAM. TRYED TO CONTACT SEVERAL NUMBERS WITH THIS COMPANY TO CANCEL WHAT THEY SAY IS A SUBSCRIPTION. ALL THE NUMBERS WERE EITHER DISCONNECTED OR HAD FULL MAILBOXES SO I COULDN'T EVEN LEAVE VOICE MAIL. GET NOTHING BUT A RUN AROUND FROM THE RETAILER. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM CATHERINES AGAIN. My 91 year old mother inadvertently responded to a $10 rebate with f***************. After another fraud was found on her credit card I contacted ***** and advised them my mother was being charged by this company. It went back 20 months equalling $259.40. While I was on a three way conversation with ***** and the company I was told by ***** since my mother responded to the email it wasn't considered fraud. Now **************** agreed to refund 6 months worth then our conversation was cut off. The company admitted my mother had never used their service Since I was cut off from the conversation I have no clue what the outcome will be. The representative did indicate she would send an "escalation" to management and see if they would authorize an additional refund. As of this writing my mother is still out $181.58. I must say though the person representing freeshipping.com was cordial and willing to listen while I explained the situation and that was appreciated.Clarus Commerce, LLC
