  Venture Home Solar has been great for me. I’ve had a few minor issues but their customer experience specialist Kristopher A. has always worked with me to resolve any issues, something I always really appreciate! He really makes the whole experience that much better! I recommend them to every homeowner I know!

  I will not rate this company because they are not worth a star..I would never recommend venture solar to any one they installed my system 8 years ago..on my new roof which now I have a leak..they will not take responsibility for the damages because they no longer work with sunpower another horrible company.. so now I have to pay out of pocket to redo my entire roof and pay for the removal..these solar companies are a nightmare..anyone interested in going solar save yourself from this trouble..

  I write this review to hopefully save someone else from a terrible company with no customer service. That I consider liars and thieves. Originally set-up install with system back feeding through
  garage panel to house.. (I had another company tell me they couldn't do that). They reviewed and promised they could. After MANY delays (which I believe was to fit there cancelation fee schedule). They determined they couldn't and offered to do trench. The delays took us from March now August 2023. I canceled contract, The inability to get clear answers and no return phone calls or care for there customer is astounding. I had no faith in company at this point. expecting a refund of 2700 of deposit. I got 30. They explained fee schedule, in contract although I don't agree

  This contract was signed April 15th, and the intention was to back feed through garage panel. Our contract states that the cancellation fee is $0 in the first 7 days post contract signing, and customer signed right under that 4/15/23. There are penalties to cancel after the 7 day window. 

  
  

  There was no contractual guarantee on the back feed, and when we went to get approval from the utility company for the installation, they declined it. We then offered to absorb the cost of the trenching mentioned above, and provided that on 7/3/23 of $1800 Venture would pay out of pocket for this work. 

  
  

  Customer then cancelled 7/19/23 via text message to us, and called lender to cancel contract. The cancellation page stats $2,675 to cancel outside of 30 days of signature, which would've applied on 5/15/23 or beyond. We have recorded calls and emails/texts documenting we were in touch with the customer.

  
  

  The benefit to us would have been to complete the project and keep the relationship which is proven by us offering to absorb the trenching work. We must be reimbursed for all work done, fees paid, etc on the project and follow the rules of the contract signed by the customer.

  I politely asked them to I stop calling me and the operator gave me major attitude and then hung-up on me. I asked them yesterday to stop calling me and they said nothing and hung-up.

  Buyers Beware, I fell into the trap of purchasing a product that I should not have received. I have a roof that had multiple shingles on it and they added more. It was also missing the fasia board. I don't know if it was them or it was never there. They inspected my roof and never advised me of this. Customer service is little help. When I called to complain they just keep on passing it off to a different manager until finally they say it was not in the paperwork to fix the fascia. I strongly disagree. If you look at parts of a roof it has fascia. I paid Venture Solar to do the complete job which included the roof. They decided all I needed was extra shingles over a roof that was already 25 years or more. The facia not their is causing my gutters to leak water that will get under the shingles and in my roof. I know when I have a leak they will tell me that is not covered. This has been one of the worst companies I have dealt with. I hope others read this and avoid them at all cost. Find a company out there who will be honest with you and not avoid your questions.

  We apologize for the experience had, and do not wish for any ill will or feelings here. The leaks are not coming from any of the work done on the solar panels, and the fascia and gutters were in suitable conditions and were not included in the scope of work signed for. We do not contract anyone for that type of work, just the roof, and we were out on site to assess and show that our work did not cause any leaks. Since the fascia and gutters were not in the scope of work, we provided a quote to fix it and did offer a discount for an existing customer. The system is also operational and running/producing as it should be. We have also been in communication with customer and sent documents/quotes/pictures/proof of all these findings so there has been no dishonesty here. We will continue to engage with the customer to provide a satisfactory and amicable resolution for all

  In Venture Solars response they said "the facia and gutters were in suitable conditions. " There was no facia on the roof when they did the work. It was not there when the inspector inspected. If it was then they removed it. Venture Solar failed to properly inspect the roof to identify this issue. When I searched and asked others I was informed the fascia is part of the roof. The panels might be working fine but my complaint is that I should have been told that my house would not be a good candidate for solar because of the trees in the area. I have told them on multiple occasions I wanted 14 panels. I did mess up and signed the paperwork for 10 just to get this started. My Sales person quit the company and according to them there is no proof I asked for more panels.
  Since they failed to bring it up when the inspector came then they should be responsible for the fascia at no cost to me. Also I was advised that there is more shingles on the back roof than the 2 exceptable.

  Nothing but praise for Venture Solar throughout the entire process. Once the system was installed and operating, which occurred quickly, the last thing to do was install the critter cage. which is done by another crew. After about only a week the service crew, led by ****, showed up. He checked out the operation of my system and explained how the cage would be installed. They did a fabulous job, fitting the mesh around protruding rails and keeping it taut. Before leaving they called me out to check out the job they did. Class act!
