      They give you Internet, but don't inform you when there is going to be an outage.
      SERIOUSLY ON THE 4TH IF JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO INFORM, ***** YOU SPECTRUM, YOU *****!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Being charged a full month for service I only had access to for 9 days. Buyer beware! Spectrum does NOT offer pro rated service. I scheduled my service to be disconnected on June 30th but received a bill for service from June 22nd to July 21. Complete thieves! Some idiot carefully explained that I was told this when I signed up for service, I then carefully explained I've had service for 23 years at my address, much longer than Spectrum has been around and NO ONE EXPLAINED anything to me when they took over **** ******* If you can avoid using their services, I highly recommend you do so. They are the worst and I can't wait for them to go out of business!!!

      This company will try every ways to get your money out of your pocket. And, you need to keep all your receipts when doing business with them, otherwise you have to pay when their system showing that you haven't returned a modem. lol good luck for your business Spectrum.

      Spectrum did the bait and switch scam. Called to get for my 86 year old dementia mom that only watches the local news. Sold me on a package that cost $76 a month and guaranteed I had the local news. Had to spend $65 for install tech who canceled twice. Once installed I pent several hours trying to figure out where to find local news. Spectrum is not easy to use. They give you so many stations you can't watch. I finally called them only to be told I had to upgrade to get local knows. Total package would go from $76 to $136. I told them to cancel cable. Took half hour to cancel. That department is sales. They kept putting me on hold than coming back with a "deal" which was the same but worded differently. I insisted she stop selling and cancel my cable. She acted as if I'm making a stupid decision because I now have to pay $76 for just internet and home. I switched carriers based on the promise of local news. To go back to NCI (the only other choice in Omak Wa) it would cost $250 install fee and a 2 year contract. I'm stuck with Spectrum until I can get my mom in assisted living.

      Why don’t they Prorate the Bill like before for we want to cancel the service now but they want to charge us for the rest of the month!?

      Absolutely horrible company. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, the prices are always increasing and whenever I call I tell them I have no need for a Spectrum phone line or charter tv. But instead of listening to their customers they continue to try to get you to add on any service possible.
      I told them I get a good rate for my phone bill through my parent’s work and don’t need a phone line. They say, “it would be really nice of you to save your parents some money, don’t you want to save your parents money.”
      Then they say “you’re currently getting a really good rate and lowering your plan would actually cost more money.”
      Next I was told I should get a landline because “what if something terrible happens and you’re home alone and your phone isn’t charged?”
      What kind of awful customer service is this? What kind of horrendous training do these people receive from this unethical company?!
      I cancelled my plan on the day that my next bill was due because my plan was going to increase another $10 per month. But I continue to get texts saying I have to pay for the next billing cycle even though I returned my equipment that day. My bill is for internet I didn’t even use and for the total cost with the price increase even though that’s why I cancelled my plan. That’s what I get for the thousands of dollars I paid to this excuse of a business.

      there is a lady name Candy in the escalations department that is useless and does not do her job well. I called in to complain about my bill and they told me they would reduce it. but then call got transferred to Candy and she said they lied and they would not reduce it. I think Candy should be fired and should not work there

      Spectrum lies to and cheats their customers. They have accused us of receiving a cell phone from them in Bradenton, Florida (we live in Gas City, Indiana and have never visited Florida). They insist that WE have to file a police report (the police were very confused as to why WE had to file this report even after talking to customer service themselves). They state at the beginning of every conversation that it is recorded for quality and training. They will not use those conversations that my husband and I know for a FACT exist unless it suits THEIR purpose. That right there makes them liars and cheats. Spectrum mobile is absolutely horrible. No wonder they are not registered with the BBB.

      Spectrum communication (charter communications) is the worst business I never had to deal with. This company have some very bad business practices. First, on cancelation they will charge a full month of services whether you use for a day or a month for the month they a bunch of thieves. they only want your money. second if you have auto pay, they keep your payment information even after you cancel your service. The system will not let you remove your payment information even though you no longer have service with them. the account will say account close with zero (0) balance. when you try to delete the information, it will say you must have payment information on file for auto pay... what auto pay? account is closed. Two months later your financial information is still on their database. I'm sure no one like their financial information stays on some company database if you don't have to. To me, a company shouldn't have such business practices, very SHADY. On thing for sure I'll never have anything to do with spectrum. Unless you like to deal with company like that. I would suggest you stay far away from every service they provide. Also, I had a Mexico plan with them, they charge you roaming fees, even know you pay extra on your plan. These were the only three problems I encountered with them, I'm sure there is more. You've been warned.
